It depends on your purpose. If you want to maximize your profit I would invest in promising projects with a small market cap. Tron and ETH both have a relative high market cap. If you want to buy Tron or ETH I would prefer ETH because it is #2 cryto currency and it is very unlikely that this will change in near future. You are also be able to invest in ICOs with your ETH.
I just don't see the appeal of tron.
It's a completely speculative coin that has absolutely no market value or market penetration yet.
Yeah, you can say, some day it will be developed and then...wow!
But the crypto world has matured beyond that.
Especially after the last 3 months, people want substantial companies rather than speculative ones.
Now think of eth:
HUGE market penetration and brand awareness
The BIGGEST crypto network in existence
continuous and ACTIVE development
Is entirely fungible (almost as fungible as btc)
Is starting to be used as valuation of all crypto in hand with btc.
So which one is a more valuable company?

in my opinion it is better to buy ETH than to buy TRON because ETH has a stable price if it has gone up, even though for now the ETH has decreased the price caused by several things.
Tron has been trending only that makes some investors invest in it, but it's still ETH for me, its 2nd from BTC, and its platform were used in many potential projects.

But I feel like BTC is limited in scope... and ETH has way less boundaries to expand. But you look more experienced than me. So why is BTC better (besides the fact that it was the "first" one?) I really need to know!!
BTC is better because it has limited quantity but ETH is not limited so your coin may lose its value if developers increases its supply that is the reason bitcoin is better than ETH.
I would advice you to buy etherum over tron anytime any day. It has more use case that tron.

I also heard about the Tron coin it's continuing to increase the price while the other are in the lower price it's a good coin, but if you can afford you should try to invest both Ethereum and TRX.
I would buy 400$ Ethereum and 100 TRX. But TRX is just a hype coin. They doesn't have any product and the whole price of TRX is just huge news nothing more. When the market will grow ETH will be more stable.
I will recommend to you to stay away until cryptocurrency market is in bear market. It drop much lower and your investments will bleed altogether.

I'd buy ETH - especially now since it's lower in price. You can always buy TRON with some profits you've made from that ETH purchase.

Buy both cryptocurrencies. Split the money in half for TRX and ETH. Welcome to cryptoworld.
Although i think tron will worth something around $1 in the future. I think Ethereum is a safer investment right now. It’s heavily oversold like any other coins and when we get into bull market Ethereum will go higher than before. Tron still needs to prove itself to our community.

bitcoin! because it is THE only cryptocurrency that is worth investing in since it has a good future with the least amount of risk. of course it is not a good time to invest in anything but for the first time investment you should not even think about anything other than bitcoin!

i am not saying it is good or bad but based on my experience whenever you keep hearing about an altcoin that means it is already too late and that coin is in a big bubble and the bag holders are getting desperate since they started losing money.Quote
