Firstly, I will like to know if you know about the history of Bitcoin? How it got to where it was today with a worth of over $30k our present money. Convert that to any currency in the world, it is still money. Let me run a quick recap for you. This entity called Bitcoin, the father of all cryptocurrencies in the world today started with a price less than $1 even less than 20cents. Within the space of 11 years, that supposed 20cents has worth $30,000 today. If you can the calculation, that's more than 100,000% increment. The question is how long do you want to keep your Investment. Do you have pressing matters than needs financial attention urgently? If you don't leave your Investment for a long time so you can recover some of your loses and have more

In my opinion, the market is not in a bad mood as bitcoin is still good at $ 30,000.  Compared to the previous sessions, with a negative fluctuation range, although there are no noticeable fluctuations, the fast recovery today can create a good psychological momentum for the next correction phase.  Keeping it if bitcoin is on a defensive threshold is in favor of $ 30,000.  Bitcoin capitalization remains in equilibrium trend, which is well maintained.  It would be perfect when bitcoin surpasses 40k in the next four days.
That is what I am waiting for, maybe if bitcoin prices stabilize at around 35k for a week, I think selling it would be a good idea but many have regrets selling their coin because the moment that they sell it then the next day the prices suddenly skyrocketed. With the current prices, surpassing 40k is a pipe dream for the market, there seems to be a resistance that is preventing it and this one is stronger from back in the 20k price point.

Hi Everyone, I have a dilemma since I am holding an wholesome portion of bitcoin. With all the speculation going on in the market I don't know whether to sell or hold on my bitcoin. I've been wanting for more than a week to see if bitcoin's price improves, but it is only falling more and more.

I've gone through dozens of analysts' blogs, websites, market cap sites, price prediction sites, and all the important bitcoin market sites to find the right answer. But I am still unsure.

So, can anyone please tell me if I should dump my bitcoins with some losses (selling at lesser price than the buying price), or should I hold on to it?

There is also another reason. A promising stock just opened up. So should I sell my bitcoins and but the new stock that I'm interested in?

It depends on you mate. Whatever advice do we have, the final decision will always be onto you. Once you have made your final decision, you will fully understand the risk that you are taking even if the price goes down.

If it breaks its resistance of $30000 than it may move to $27000 but after it can started recovering.
It will go down more if whales won't started buying BTC now. Coin base premium is in negative right now which means no coinbase whales buying it.

It seems that there's silence among whales now, and only waiting for another big spikes. Only traders and holders remained active after the massive pump in marketplace early this year. Many speculations would tend to come out if we can't see any good movement in the next coming weeks, so we need to be careful in every decisions we're going to make. For now wait for every certain updates, and if in case gradual downtrend may occur you'll able to take your profit quickly to avoid losing your profit.

all decisions are up to you...
profit or loss is the risk that must be borne by every investor. but if I were you, I would continue to HODL my Bitcoin until I actually sold it at a good price. *whether the shares you mean are Tesla stocks

This is the best comment here, all decisions are up to us! We read this and that, positive and negative things... but actually nobody can't predict the future, some will be right and some will be wrong! Where are we in all that?! We need to create our own plan and way of thinking, and to believe that we can make good decisions!
I can only say that I sold a nice part of my holdings, and I am having fun with short run trading, but I am waiting for some nice drop to buy with everything I have! It's what I expect and what I believe that will happen... I see many experienced people think the same, but will it happen like we desire or not, we will see! Good luck all with your decisions, after all some will be right and some will not, but the game will not end as long as we have something in our wallets!

People often ask this kind of question about when is the right time to buy and sell bitcoin. As everybody says, there is no actual or specific time or date to buy and sell bitcoin. But I prefer to buy bitcoin when its price has decreased just like today because bitcoin is down that it is now $30,000. Also, I only sell my bitcoins when I need money to maintain my long term investment.

Well, this time the price of bitcoin is totally high compare to last year, if you think that you have profit when you trade it? Why not! This time is a good opportunity to sell our bitcoin. But I can suggest to hold other bitcoin (for the chances to increase the price of bitcoin and sell when bitcoin value is great) and sell the other (for the assurance of sure money).

Of you think that the new stock is great than bitcoin why not? But for me, bitcoin is great at now.

Just always monitor the graph of trading and follow your instinct to avoid blaming yourself in the end.

I would say it depends on your personal life and not a trading question for people like me. If you are a day trader that buys and sells you wouldn't ask if you should sell it or hold it, that means you are an investor who bought it and holds it right now and depending on what you want to do you will maybe get out, if you are holding your coins more than few days that kind of becomes investing a bit and not trading, trading is buying and selling as quickly as possible.

In the case of an investor selling or holding, that depends on your life, do you need the money now? You could always need money because of something in your life, and if you need it that means you could sell it, nothing wrong with that, however if you do not need the money right now, just let it ride, maybe it will be 10k again maybe it will be 50k but eventually in a few years it will definitely be higher than this no doubt about it.

In my opinion, the market this week is continuously moving and changing shades.  Bull has been kept and gone and worthwhile bitcoin is on the defensive threshold of $ 30k.  If the wavelength resets as before, bitcoin will rise to 40k by accomplishing anything, this code is detected.  I suppose, be more patient and don't sell bitcoins under these conditions.  Need to wait more before the end of January.

If you see yourself that you cannot afford to see the declination on the value of Bitcoin once you hold it, better sell it for your own good but if you see that you can endure taking temporary loss due to price declination, then better hold for it. It will be an assessment on yourself on how far can you go so better mind your own and do not be dependent on other people's opinion and speculations for we have different stands regarding the matter. Better just see to it that you will be the one benefitting on the decision you will make because it is your own Bitcoin and not ours.

Though current BTC Price action is very Boring and it is stuck between 31,500 to 33,500 and it is likely to continue lower unless it clears 35,000 which has become an uphill task but for long term Investors, BTC the is best asset to hold when we look at it Historical performance from 2011 to 2021. Its performance has been extremely impressive without any doubt.

bitcoin very suitable for long term investment, dont be affraid if we meet high volatility in market. whales always want to take bitcoin cheaply bu spreading fud. so if we want maximal gain , maybe hold it till end of year will make our investment value increase alot.but if we have different strategy but used it for daily trading , it could increase bitcoin amount.

Our goal is to earn more, become profitable. Selling at a good price, holding waiting for a better price.
That's a perfect mindset upon having Bitcoin, we are here to gain more upon investing in Bitcoin not just losing profit.  Just wait a perfect time and sell at a good price.  This is the reason why we always say, invest of what you can afford because in investing in crypto there's no time frame when you will get profit on it.  You will not earn in just a couple of days hoping that your profit was there, long term investment is far better than short term investment.

So the OP question is, should I sell my bitcoin?
One straight question, is your profit was there? If so, then that is the right time to sell but if you can wait for more for I said the perfect time much better.

Depending on the original purpose of buying Bitcoin for short-term or long-term, if indeed from the beginning we bought Bitcoin for long-term
investment, of course choosing HODL until the next few years according to the desired target is achieved. However, if you buy Bitcoin just to get
a profit, I recommend selling your Bitcoin immediately if it has managed to go up. Even though the profit you get is small, it doesn't matter,
because you will buy Bitcoin again and sell it again when the price goes up again. You can do that every day, because Bitcoin price is volatile.
That also a thing to consider but for me, I'm doing both, and I look at the market movement.
Selling- it matters when we certainly in need of money( but try to separate money for trading and for personal use)
Holding- it matters on the market situation (mostly it happens when the market is in the bearish season)

Our goal is to earn more, become profitable. Selling at a good price, holding waiting for a better price.

When you have searched many sources to make a decision but you are still not sure, it seems like you are still confident to hold on to it and I think just continue it. Because you are hesitant to sell and also hesitant to hold, if I were you then I would hold on to it for the long term or sell it immediately and forget about losses. Control is only in you because it is an investment that you do yourself with your own calculations, so selling at a loss or holding on to it should all be carefully calculated and you must be prepared for bad decisions that may be made. Because if we talk about how potential bitcoin price is in the future, then I believe the answer is that it will go higher but to achieve that of course it will not be easy.
