I believe that I am not a gambling addict because I can control my gambling activities, which include:

First, I only gamble in my spare time or vacation, because gambling is not a top priority if I have to leave work to gamble.

Second. other than that I only play it in my spare time I also play gambling, if I have extra money after fulfilling my needs and savings. in the sense that I do not use money that is clearly needed for gambling.

third, realizing that victory doesn't come in every game, so it's ridiculous if I have to spend money on one game and continue to be ambitious to get a win.

so as long as I continue to adhere to these three principles, I think I will be safe when doing gambling activities. The most important thing is not to harm other people, especially to ignore and neglect the people we care about in order to carry out gambling activities for our own pleasure.

These are pretty good guidance to follow for your gambling endeavors and I also don't see any problem if you remain true to them. Having a set of fixed principles like you, which we follow and gamble accordingly is the main thing to keep our behavior in control. It's one thing to develop and writte down some rules we implement on ourselves, and something completely different to follow those rules every day. That is why I think that having a strong discipline and self control is the key to not become addicted in gambling. Only when we really follow our rules and have our gambling habits under control, can we be relaxed of not being at risk of becoming an addict. Lying to ourselves and breaking our own rules is the first step towards downfall. Reading through the comments here there are most users that have a fixed mindset about their gambling activities and only follow it on the side. That's probably the second most important concept, don't make gambling your main focus in life. There is guarantee if becoming rich with it and the risks are increasing the more we gamble.

Yes, we all have fun playing gambling, so don't let gambling make us addicted. We must be able to take care of ourselves while playing gambling by always being within our boundaries. And when we can play gambling comfortably and are not tempted to chase victory even though we are in a losing position and finally decide to stop, it means that our self-control is better. That's because we don't think about recovering from previous losses and can also feel that our gambling game has had enough and it's time to stop before we lose self-control. It's better for us to stay conscious keep our emotions in check, and stop playing gambling on time.
We know ourselves better than anyone else, so we use disciplinary measures and avoid any sort of gambling addict proceeds. Gambling is something we expect to do in our own time and with extra money, not with our scheduled cash. I will not participate in any activity that jeopardizes my well-being; instead, I will fire more shots with the goal to strengthen my income sources, specifically not gambling. Gambling does not provide us with continuous earnings; we win when we have exceptional luck and lose when our forecasts fail to come accurate.
I agree with you, because gambling is not investment and its not something you will be hoping to have a return, what I know of gambling is that gambling have to deals with forecast and not every time you will be lucky for your forecast to result winning, the set of people that is gambling addict do being deceived by their gambling mates and they hope that one of their winning will cover all they have lost and such orientation is what makes some people to be gambling addict

Looking at oneself and seing that there's no recent achievements to hold over time than gambling and no any progress as well could be recognized with such a gambler is enough reasons to know that such a person is totally addicted to gambling and has no time for other things than betting always, but when you're able to balance your life, income and things you do that gives you honour and reputation, then you're moderately gambling without any area of your life being affected, this is within our control if we so want to change for good or remain the way we are.

It would not be a problem if a person have control over his gambling urge.  But it will become a problem when a person become hooked and addicted to the game.  It will slowly drain is money and will slowly raise his fund allocation until he use all his income for gambling.  So I think it is best to have a self check every now and then about how we engage in gambling addiction and if we often lose our control when we are playing.

If only they recorded all their expenses for gambling games and some of the wins they got, with the aim of knowing whether gambling is profitable or detrimental and this is regardless of the pleasure they get. Because if you already think that gambling is part of their fun, it will be difficult to let go even though they often lose.

If you can't let go then what you have to do is;
First, you have to exercise self-control to minimize even bigger losses.

secondly, increase your capacity, knowledge and skills in gambling to increase your chances of winning in every game you play. By continuing to develop strategies to defeat opponents and improve skills / abilities in card gambling games. But when it comes to soccer betting, what you have to do is absorb as much information as possible and improve your ability to do analysis.

Third, avoid playing carelessly and continuing to pursue victory because this will only hurt you.

Definitely, sure it did help me a lot. You just have to realize what you're chasing and if it's worth chasing. Because once you realized that it's going to be worth it then you have to think again and it's okay to gamble but don't make yourself addicted. We're all to have fun and do stuff, sometimes we're for the chase of losses and sometimes we want to earn some and win. It varies and sometimes random ideas come to our mind like being lucky within the day and it's gonna be the day you want to gamble but you're also defensive to yourself. And that is when you're aware that you can't handle the heat of yourself. So, with emotions playing away as you gamble, you have to rethink for so many times so that you won't be problematic once you're dealing with and you have recognized it.

First sign is to have the betting apps on your phone, some of us see it as a means of survive in this poor economy, But its really eaten up the little savings we have already. Its very difficult to get away from gambling, its only God that can save one from this addict.
Some are just lucky to be winning everyday, and they never see any evil in it, but those that lose everyday called it evil, that's the problem of gamble.
Having a betting apps on your phone is not a bad idea, am having a betting app on my mobile phone and that those not mean that am spending all my money on gambling, i just prefer gambling on my mobile phone rather visiting a gambling shop to gamble.

The set of people that see gambling as a source of income are the once that are addicted to gambling, and most of them are just wasting money in gambling, because at the end if the money spent on gambling and the amount they have won is calculated, it will show that they are just wasting money, because their loss will be more than the amount they have won.

Not entirely true, there are also people who only seek entertainment and pleasure and got addicted to gambling.  I think all kinds of people even with different purposes in engaging in gambling as long as their are exposed have the possibility of getting addicted to gambling.

I think he is also right about it. None of us really installed a casino app as the browser works for the most part. Not sure why there is the need to unless the casino is giving privileges to those who install the app and in that case the addicts will really dive into it even if it's just free spins. The economy is killing everyone including the middle class who has more savings than the regular McDonald's crew. If the free spins give hope, I see no reason not to try it.

However only a few casinos that has apps actually particularly crypto casinos. Those fiat casinos I guess will do, addicts wouldn't mind.

Today, let's shift our focus and discuss something different instead of constantly addressing gambling addiction. So, I've decided to bring up a new topic: signs that indicate you are not addicted to gambling. Let's explore it.

Here are some indicators that demonstrate a lack of gambling addiction:

  • Absence of Gambling Preoccupation
Do you don't find yourself constantly thinking over recent gambling losses. You do not get lost daydreaming of past wins. Your day is not spent thinking about gambling, or constantly laying plans on your next bet. You do not schemes ways to get more money to gamble with.
  • Stable Tolerance
You do not need to gamble larger amounts to feel the same level of thrill.  You are satisfied with regular bets and low stakes.  You do not pursue bigger wins, higher stakes, high gambling risks to feel "high" or happy.
  • No Withdrawal Symptoms
When stop gambling, you do not feel restless or irritable. When you are not gambling, you are having feelings of depression or anxiety. For you gambling more like hobby, something you do for fun.
  • Non-Escape Mechanism
You are facing your problems and challenges head-on without turning to gambling forget about them. When you experience stress, or any negative emotions, gambling is not used as a mechanism for coping.
  • Lack of Loss Chasing
When you lose, you do not attempt to bet more and more, with the mindset of winning back what you’ve lost. Rather you "leave" to bet another day.
  • Honest and Accountable Behavior
You are opened about your gambling behaviour and how much you have either won or lost while gambling. You see no reason to lie about it. Your family and friends know about how you gamble because you have made accountable to it.
  • Unaffected Relationships and Opportunities
Your life, career, relationships are in order. They are not being negatively affected by your gambling habits. You met you work target and deadlines, your education is not neglected, and you haven't lost any financial opportunities as a result of gambling.
  • Financial Independence
You have not ran into debts because of your gambling. Neither do you rely on other people for financial support. You haven't engaged in any illegal activity to get money to support your gambling.
  • Avoidance of Illegal Activities
You have never considered partaking in illegal actions like theft or fraud to finance your gambling activity.
  • Demonstrates Self-Control
You can go days without gambling because you have the will power and might to. You do not feel powerless and unable to control your desire to gamble.

These signs suggest a healthy relationship with gambling and indicate that you are not addicted. What other signs do you know of?

I think having good knowledge of finances and a stable environment are some of the best defenses against gambling. You could have a very good wage but not know how to manage your money and it can be a recipe for disaster when it comes to gambling. If you don't understand or refuse to acknowledge the simple math that is working against you in a casino, then you're also going to have a very bad time if you keep pouring money into it. Being able to regulate your mind, in terms of not chasing losses and being able to let go of money that you put at risk is important, because some people have a hard time admitting to themselves that they were stupid for entering a particular bet.

I stopped chasing losses long time ago because I have seen on how it has affected me a lot. I am still a gambler but I am no longer addicted and I've got a control to myself. That's a hard part to be managed because with what we're usually seeing is that, there are gamblers that do struggle in maintaining their posture and control when they gamble. They think that they can handle themselves but when they're on the situation, that's when things don't go accordingly to what they have planned for.
That's great for you. I'm glad to hear you've overcome your previous gambling addiction problem. You have to defend it from gambling addiction again, and by looking at what you have experienced, I think you can still avoid gambling addiction. Indeed it is a difficult part to manage, but as long as we want to change it and deal with what went wrong, we can do it. What's important is that now we can better control ourselves when playing gambling and won't be easily carried away by emotions and won't be tempted by any offers. So now we just play gambling for fun Grin

3. They don't regret losing, but just think it's part of gambling.
-snip-

In my opinion, gambling addicts and non-addicts both regret when they lose their game. The only thing that differentiates them is that people who are addicted to gambling will continue to play regardless of their financial condition and they tend to be aggressive and don't care about their condition. Whereas people who are not addicted to gambling, they tend to think rationally and keep thinking about their financial condition and tend to hold back from gambling again.

While you have mentioned the emotions of regret related to gambling addicts and non-addicts, I will not agree with the point that non-addicted gamblers not be prepared for a loss. They should be prepared for both loss and win.

Why would a non-addicted gambler will be sad about the gambling loss? I think such a gambler already knows the risk involved in the game and he would be prepared for the loss. This means that he would not risk too much that a loss from gambling will lead to a change in his mood. He must have a money management plan with him and therefore we put him in the non-addicted gamblers category.

A lot of people would say emotion should be controlled whether you are trading or gambling, but it's not true. You can't control emotions, it's the action that you can control. Anyone who loses will feel sad or regret losing money but whatever he does after that is what he can control. If he drinks and does drugs after it, it's up to him. If he can control and not chase the loss, it's good.

If one nongambler or a gambler just stops gambling and resumes back to what he was doing before he strays into gambling then he is not addicted.

It is not difficult to make a diagnosis between an addicted and non-addicted gamblers who are especially related to gambling activities. One of the biggest signs of a non-addicted gambler is that he can take break from gambling. He will not try to gamble with loan money. He will normally spend a moderate amount of money on his gambling for which his family will not suffer. A non-addicted gambler would not react differently if he lost. He will try to make his due contribution in every area such as family, relatives and social activities can give equal importance to all areas which an addicted gamblers can never do this.

The point is to distinguish someone who is addicted from someone who is not addicted is quite easy, one of which you have mentioned here and I will add a little that those who are not addicted will not be too ambitious in pursuing victory there, for example they lose and after that they will not return to it at that time even though they still have money to bet and there is not even the thought of borrowing for them. They will only come back if they really want to do it, there is no sense at all for them to pursue victory there. Now for the addicted themselves as we know, most of them will spend a lot of time there, winning or losing still they sometimes find it difficult to stop. Especially if they lose, obviously they will be emotional and it is visible and also very likely for him to make a loan. Most of the addicts will not accept the defeat he experienced at that time, and he will continue to pursue it even if he loses again in the end. The point is that people who are addicted have a higher curiosity than those who gamble just for leisure.

Those signs you gave are good and I will like to add one to the number you have given. And which is "always not found in the gambling halls".  Becy of you are always available in the casino hall or sports bookmarkers hall then that will indicate that you are an addict to gambling. A. Not always in casinos and gambling websites in with your phone.

Even if the mobile application of the gambling was their in your mobile, the self control is the most important one.Until your finger touch the application, the application will not open.Like wise until you play, the game was not played. Some gambling addict face all the small savings into gambling by finding the big win.But they should play the gambling with the time limit, then he will not get addicted.People with good gambling experience will do gambling game on Sunday and from Monday he start to work.So this time limit allow them to control his mind from the addiction is my opinion.

Sometimes, the thought of depositing money and losing it in a gambling platform pains me. I guess that's one of my strong points since I recognize that the loss of any amount of money is something that I really cannot stomach. I'm thankful that even if you give me extra money and a very accessible gambling platform, I'd choose to keep the money and spend it on other things or rather save it. Self-control is something that not a lot of gambler have, but once you have employed it, it's hard to get off of it.
On the time that you do make out deposit on a certain gambling site, then it would really be just that right that you should really be considering those amounts to really be that totally lost or completely gone
so that you wont really be that expecting something with it and you wont really be getting annoyed or disappointed on the time that you would be losing those funds. It is really just a matter of self
acceptance when it comes to this because you wont really be finding yourself to be that impulsive if you are really that just that getting used or prepared on what would happen.

Stable Tolerance
This is what should people really be that behaving on which minding about that kind of tolerance whether on emotional aspect or that kind of mindset which is really that related to
gambling. If you do have that fixed mindset and fixed emotions about on certain actions then i dont really see any problem towards it.
