How about a status page for your website?

Status page or even a custom Err 404 page where they will inform visitors about current maintenance.

Big thanks for your suggestions, we'll discuss with the team! And sorry for the inconvenience.

Now I looked at this thread of yours, It has been around for a long time, but you often have quite long periods of inactivity. It is the same with your Telegram group. If you really want to gain trust, your responsiveness and online uptime must be at the highest level.

Thank you for your suggestions! Our support team is online 24/7 and they can answer all the urgent questions our users have. Support team is available by email [email protected] and via live chat on the website https://simpleswap.io/

May I add another tip?  Grin

If you try to be active on telegram, you could setup the telegram notification bot for our forum, see: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/telegram-yet-another-bitcointalk-notification-bot-merits-mentions-topics-5248878

This way, you could also respond to forum members inquiries in a timely manner as the team could setup the bot to get notifications when someone quotes/mentions their handled bitcointalk account and even do a topic tracking for this ANN thread.

It would be nice if you made announcements prior to scheduled maintenance to avoid inconveniences to your customers. You could make full use of your social media handles, including this thread. It's why you created them in the first place  Wink

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Hey guys! Our website can be unavailable for some time during maintenance periods. Usually, these works do not last more than an hour. There are no problems with the website now and it should be available. If you face any problem, please, contact [email protected], we will do our best to fix the problem.

From their telegram group:

It could be that issues from yesterday are still persisting? It's a bummer that there isn't anything about this on their other social handles so I'm not sure either if we'll be given update/s once everything is working normally, specially when some people may want to lean on the caution side and only swap once everything appears to be okay.

Appears there is trouble with simpleswap today. https://simpleswap.io — doesn't open (504 — gateway error). https://simpleswap.io/crypto — this one opens but some parts of site work and some don't so I don't wanna create exchange in such situation.

Edit: works now

...including mrt15's claim that he was scammed on the platform. Of course, OP has been disappearing again since the date of publishing these topics on 06/08. This is completely unprofessional and raises many claims that put this service in question.
As for the accusation of fraud by mrt15, this situation has been resolved back then, the user reached out to our support team. The exchange in question was created 2/22/2021, 0:30:41 AM UTC with a float rate and failed due to a significant change in the exchange rate. To protect our users from unexpected losses, we stop the exchange in case of a significant jump in the cryptocurrency price and check whether the client wants to continue the exchange at the new rate. If the client is not satisfied with the new exchange rate, we make a refund. In this case with mrt15, he agreed to a refund, which we successfully completed within 3 hours. He also asked for a refund of the network fee and this request was also granted by us.

We've been in the market for more than 5 years. Crypto is a highly competitive and community driven industry, so it’s fair to say that we simply wouldn’t have survived this long if we scammed our users. We’re ready to fend off all of the scam accusations.

What SWAP token are you talking about?
You must be mistaken. As far as I know they don't have any token and even if they had one, what significance would it have on their exchange?
We do have a SWAP token, it is a non-tradable utility token that serves as an internal currency for the SimpleSwap Loyalty Program.

Thing is, I think this Loyalty Program maybe a dead end right now
Over these years we’ve developed our Loyalty Program, here is how it works now: signing up as a customer you will earn cashback in SWAP for every operation made on our service. You can collect enough SWAP and upgrade your cashback subscription to receive BTC for every exchange. This way you can get up to 0.4% BTC cashback for your exchanges. So SWAP is a non-tradable utility token that serves as an internal currency for the SimpleSwap Loyalty Program.

After being scammed by SimpleSwap myself, I did some digging and SimpleSwap LTD, registered in the UK, does exist. It's owned by Artem Eremenko, who lives in Russia. I have no idea why Artem doesn't seem to want any transparency for his company.

Valerii Agapitov is also listed as a company officer.
After a long time disappearing (almost 3 years) from the activity here on the forum, the OP of the simpleswap.io platform is reappearing to post 4 new announcements for his platform in different boards of the forum :
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bountyairdrop-simpleswapio-instant-exchange-4-000-000-swap-reward-5188918.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/simpleswap-one-of-best-instant-exchange-5389484.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/simpleswaps-weekly-updates-15-new-currencies-are-available-now-5086633.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5455743.
without even bothering to take a look at this thread (which is supposed to be The official announcement) and answers many of the community's inquiries, including mrt15's claim that he was scammed on the platform. Of course, OP has been disappearing again since the date of publishing these topics on 06/08. This is completely unprofessional and raises many claims that put this service in question.
