I am not so worried about the price.
Actually I took this opportunity to accumulate more Skycoin.
Skycoin is the hidden gem, which is rare in the market.

wow price is nicely tanking Smiley in 2 months it maybe will be in buy zone.

What about miner I have one and want setup it. Do you have any tutorials how to setup it and what are payouts ?
What your experience with it ?

I just got my Skyminer in the mail so i dont have any experience with it just yet. I would like to clarify that this is not a miner in the regular sense. Skycoin does not use POW or POS consensus, the word "miner" is being used to communicate to the public that this is the vehicle through which participants can share in emissions of Skycoin and earn Coinhours as well.

On the Skywire testnet, payouts in Skycoin will be contingent on the whitelisting of DIY units (official units are automatically whitelisted) This is because it may cause unforseen complications early on if people are getting too creative with their DIY units. Potential payouts are capped by available system resources and available bandwidth. The amount of bandwidth that one orange pi prime can handle is 100 mbps, So a cluster of 8 needs to be handling 800 mbps before it becomes a bottleneck.

On Skywire mainnet, DIY miners will be whitelisted by Obelisk consensus and informed by testnet data. The community will make sure that specifications of compliant hardware is up to date and publicly known.

Payouts will be proportional to the contribution to the network being made by each node. This incentivizes the growth of the infrastructure. While the magnitude of infrastructure becomes the basis of intrinsic value of Skycoin, the value of Coinhours are based on the amount of available bandwidth and resources. I recommend that skywire miner operators form local clubs and actively contribute to the community.

The price of Coinhours is dictated by supply and demand. All Skyledger projects bring economic activity into our ecosystem. The majority of Skycoin emitted under the distribution plan will go towards Skywire network subsidization. This means that there will be Skycoin payouts for Skyminer node operation for the next 14-25 years. By the end of that period Skywire will serve as blood supply for a significant portion of the global economy.

There are many guides available for both official Skyminer and DIY assembly and setup. Also there are active communities that provide support.

Links to the guides are found on the Skywire section of the Skywug forums.

Thank you for the information! I'm looking forward to delivering my miner. I hope the launch of the test network will not take long!

ZetoChain - ACCELERATING BLOCKCHAIN FOR THE SUPPLY
March 01, 2018, 11:19:41 AM
I got lost years ago on this project.
So basically nothing is delivered and uneducated investors are sitting on huge bags of coins they cannot dump and call FUD every time someone dare to point out facts ?
The development is active more than ever. The first miner are about to be delivered and it´s more than well. i don´t think you should have any problems selling your stack if you really want

Alright let's see. How wants to buy Skycoin token ?
Is there any trace of OTC trade ?

how much are you willing to sell?

Hi, OTC teller is on the website but it is only open intermittently, and has not been open for quite a while. Because it is an important objective of the distribution strategy to limit whale hoarding of skycoins. Whenever OTC might reopen the price will be set to 10% above the coinmarketcap price and there will be a limited amount made available for purchase. Skycoin is currently traded on C2CX, Cryptopia, and Iquant exchanges. There was some problem with deposits and withdrawals on Cryptopia recently but it appears to have been resolved.

Skycoin has been all development and no marketing for many years until late 2017; while by 2017, there has been an explosion of projects that are very heavily marketed, and many having no development. Many people are hearing about Skycoin now for the first time, and their expectations of the project are moulded by their experiences with all the very early stage projects they are being bombarded with. I disagree that the criticisms being cited have anything to do with fact. People are creatures of expectation, and when they learn of this project, with its enormous scope and complexity, it is easier not to do adequate research and accept easily accessible articles of questionable intent at face value.

Among recent efforts to make the project more accessible to the public, an excellent article has been written by footballelixir.

If you have any other questions please go ahead and post them.

Got an exciting piece of information about the automated OTC teller! It turns out that the OTC passthrough system has become one of the top priority items, and will go live within the next 2 weeks. OTC passthrough means that the supply of available Skycoin via OTC is replenished from exchanges, making it alot easier for you to buy Skycoin, while positively affecting prices for holders.

Would this community like to add Skycoin to the ADZbuzz Exchange?

The ADZbuzz Exchange offers traders 100% rebate on their trading fees which they can use to earn daily passive income for life. To learn how that works please read the ADZbuzz Exchange Whitepaper here: https://adzbuzz.com/go?r=mb001589&lp=exchange-whitepaper

If this community would like to add Skycoin to the ADZbuzz Exchange then you need to vote for it to be added here:
https://adzbuzz.com/go?r=mb001589&lp=forum&u=https://forum.adzbuzz.com/forum/cryptocurrencies/announcements/16568-adzbuzz-exchange-coin-vote-get-your-favorite-coin-listed-on-the-adzbuzz-exchange

You only get one vote per person until the coin you voted for is added to the exchange. Then you would be able to vote for another coin and so on.

The top 10 voted coins would be added to the ADZbuzz Exchange next.

If you would like to see Skycoin get added, then make sure to cast your free vote!

So how to vote? Must I register?

Well only a few months ago 1 skycoin was worth 3$. There is also liquidity if you want to sell. I wouldn't call it huge bags that cannot be dumped. Everybody that bought before November has a huge profit, even with the January drop....

if you had actually invested years ago you would be rich now.... no offense...

I think you are overreacting. Childish maybe. Scam, probably not.

There is no evidence that coinhours will be worth anything more then gas for ethereum. It's essentially the same thing and it's mean to prevent transaction spam since there is no other cost. I'd say let them iron out how Ch are going to work, and judge then. In the meantime obelisk is still a brilliant idea...
