We should only buy on red and sell on green but sometimes we make mistake and buy on green and when see price drop we sell on a loss and is not good, but we learn from mistakes.
What you admonishing is not a happy trading since it is not base on a concrete strategy or research on why the said coin should be bought. Base on luck, they buyer of a coin that is pumped can make a return of zero in no time since the underlying factor which is making the coin grow is not known.
I don't think it's always now or never, opportunities keep coming in crypto. In your case, what if the price dumped? So it's a two way thing. By the way, I bought some BTC today at 7500$ and also added a few altcoins to my portfolio at dip.

I am done shopping crypto and have been HODLING for some time now. I preferred to put in my money couple of months ago when the market had been pretty much down and there was pessimism about crypto all around. That had been the best time to invest in crypto with almost nothing because the prices had been very down. I am running in surplus right now and I am enjoying a lot. yeah someone who buying or holding since 2 month ago, already get profit im also get profit from hold doge.
Making investment in a coin should not be on a day increase in price, it should be on the future of the coin, there are so many pump and dump coin, be smart.
In my opinion, the average person who always asks by making a thread is whether this is the right time to buy after several times seeing increased price movements is not the person who focuses on trading. Not 100% like that huh.

This happens to most of the investors, Its very difficult to know the right time to buy. It can only be win if investors has some solid investment plan.
Suppose BTC is trading at $10k now I have around $1K to invest, I should have the proper plan. Some amount should be invested at $10K, if price increases its my profit, if price further decreases I should have some amount to invest at lower level say $5K, this story repeats once we get to the bottom like BTC touched $3K. To encash profit investor should have some long term plan. A planned investment shall always give investor a good profit.
