I don't think he was running shady business, why do you even ask that? Google what happened to some Cyprus banks in 2013. The point is if he did use cryptocoins for everything which was impossible then and is still a lot of hassle, he wouldn't have been robbed.

to stay anonymous while earning money. and of course to earn lots of money as bitcoin promised that.
and lots of people(riches) using bitcoin for fun. and lots of are using bitcoin for gambling purpose. because bitcoin gives amazing advantages and features on gambling. I didn't saw that much gambling and betting sites out of bitcoin. only bitcoin have that much gambling casinos.

Bitcoin is not about gaining wealth it is about redistribution of wealth. Early adopters (some of them ) made a lot of money. But that is not the key to use bitcoin. It is about having control ove our own money..

Right now, I use BTC because it's very practical to spend it online, more secure and my identity is protected.

For me, I use bitcoin to get extra income.
I can get money from bitcoin by doing trading & signature campaign.
Also, bitcoin is easy to use for transaction, has less fees, and I can control it myself.

i just find bitcoin much easier to use then other alternatives, much less of a hassle

Yes every one here have our own reason but we are united in one thing, which is to earn and to learn. I understand it that not all people have knowledge in bitcoin but we need to use it of course for buying and selling.

Really a genius reply, with bitcoin we really feel freedom , which with other currencies is unable to achieve , with other currencies we have to depend on banks and other third parties to keep it secure.Yes exactly, by the use of bitcoin even we have different countries we have financial freedom and we can use it to exchange for different countries local currency. That is way better than using your local currency.
