Recent hype of solana came from the airdrop craze and meme coin hype in solana. I don't see any other utility from it right now and other than that, many people hate solana blockchain for many reasons. Its uptime is quit bad. If speed is the only thing that matters, then there are other blockchains beside solana that are also pretty fast. SUI can be one that we can talk about. Solana needs to attract real utility focused project and ETH and Matic can be a prime example of it where most of the DePin and AI projects are located right now.
Yes. Uptime has been terrible over the past few years. But developers are working hard to solve this issue once and for all. The Solana team promised a third-party node will become a solution to the network's outages. Firedancer is expected to launch next summer. It's written on C programming language which is much more stable and reliable than Rust. If all goes well, Solana could become a soild competitor against ETH. Only time will tell.
Despite SOL's inherent issues, that hasn't stopped investors from pouring money into it. For some time, Solana has been able to retain its spot on the market. I guess many people have faith on this coin. Who knows? Maybe it will break a new ATH in the future. Just remember to never invest what you can't afford to lose, and there should be nothing to worry about.
Are you earlier adopter of solana? I also used to believe that this coin could archive huge a lot. But it hadn't came to my focus in 2020. I notice when it was pump higher in 2021 bull. In 2022, it dumped a lot from ath and i listed some altcoins what should i buy in upcoming bull run and solana was one of them.. and bought in with $30-35 avarage price. After that it went down at $20 something but then it again crossed $200 and today i was about to $135 as market is down and such growth is very surprising. That is too much withing some months. So better to wait and let market correction occured if anyone want to buy

Many projects are always conscious in the Blockchain they are launching their tokens because that would determine the fast adoption.
Before we invest, we need to always check the network the project is being launched which could determine how much we are earning from such project and how fast the adoption will go. Good projects are always launched on good blockchains and exchanges.
Now Solana already on supremacy position after Ether and bsc Blockchain, in my opinion. People continuesly involving with solana community to unlock more advanced features what solana offering and no need to explain more about this project. Recently solana facing some issues for its transaction failure due to higher traffic in its Blockchain. That's why many people feeling awkward about solana but i believe soon this issue will be solve and solana will come back again with more advance facilities

Though the thread was created in May 03, 2020, 05:23:54 PM but it still has discussion important in the present happenings. Solana coin would have been a very good coins in the cryptocurrencies ecosystem even it would have better than Ethereum because Ethereum movement is more slower than Solana. But the congestion of it network that also slow down process of people using the coin and the network. So I will also like the developers to focus on the congestion of the network to reduce the high transaction fee so that people can use the network very frequently. Solana network is one of best for cryptocurrency enthusiast.

I would've wished the Solana dev team focused on reliability more than anything else. The network often experiences congestion, and at times, outages. What's "pumping" SOL's market price is none other than the "meme" coins craze. That, and also the recent sale of the Saga smartphone. The upcoming Firedancer node software release promises to fix network outages once and for all, though.
We'll see whenever Solana will be able to truly live up to its name or not. So far, nothing can beat the "King of Altcoins" (which is ETH). Even though Ethereum is slow and expensive at times, you can always switch to a L2 network (Arbitrum, Polygon, Base, Optimism) for complete peace of mind. No outages or network disruptions of any kind. Even BTC has been running without issues since day one. Who knows what will be the future of Solana?

Well it is good to be safe and the devs say to revoke app permissions. That is because there is big attacks because o the meme coins.

Something similar happened to Ethereum a while ago. Hackers were siphoning funds from people's wallets through dApp permissions. I guess no Blockchain with smart contract features is immune from this. Solana is known to be less secure than Ethereum, so we should expect greater vulnerabilities than the one mentioned. At least, SOL users were advised to take action.
I sure hope Solana achieves resiliency to become a fierce ETH competitor in the future. Firedancer node upgrade may just be the beginning of a wonderful journey for the project. With "meme" coins "pumping" SOL's market price, Solana will be here to stay. It's VCs' favorite coin, after all. Who knows if the next step would be approving a spot ETF for the cryptocurrency?

Solana has emerged as a prominent block chain with high speed of transactions resulting in lower transaction fees. It has registered tremendous growth since it was launched. This network is also famous for creating NFTs at comparatively lower cost. Fortunately, I booked substantial profit when i purchased Solana coins at less than $10 and currently it is trading above $130.
Despite its all successes, it has been facing network outage from time to time which is a challenging situation and raises questions about its decentralization. however, there is optimism that team is committed team and will do all they can to overcome this long standing issue.
