Eh, what the hell. I'll just stick to this thread. Won't recreate a new one. I'm syncing up a new wallet for bitcoin-based payments (My other one was stolen overnight through many faults of my own, which I've learned from), and will update the OP with the previously posted pictures, prices, and shipping.

They have arrived. Here's some teaser pics until I set up the actual sale thread. Some notes: They are the v2 variant. The USB cables are 30cm. They also accept a SATA power connector or a 4 pin floppy power connector for power. They also have built-in PCI-E presence mod, so they are guaranteed to get your graphics card detected. They are pluggable in any size PCI-E slot.

Are you taking orders yet? How do you want us to handle this, PM I assume?

Any word on what the final pricing will be?

Thanks!!!

why they did not just use SATA cables for data and 2 wire fan cables with molex end for power?

Shipping update: Package has cleared customs finally and should be here sometime next week.

I do not intend to impose a minimum order. Price will be higher per riser for smaller orders, and a little lower if bought in larger quantities. As mentioned earlier, first class shipping (for 13 ounces or lighter) and priority (over 13 ounces) is free within USA. Priority upgrade for lightweight packages and Express is extra (will be determined at time of arrival so I can work out the exact shipping costs). Also will ship internationally with first class, priority, or express (EMS), also on your dollar. Unfortunately, there is no DHL here that is local, so I don't know if I can offer that option for int'l packages.

Really wish I'd seen this thread earlier, sigh. I ordered a few of these to test with back on 12/20 and they're still sitting in China Post, "Preparing shipment."

So then I thought I definitely wanted a design that used these, and decided to just buy the full qty since there's a return policy, seller has good reviews, etc. So I ordered a dozen more on 12/23. They were received today (Friday) via DHL.  Grin

So I paid $30 ea., but at least shipping was free.

I'm definitely interested in 2 SATA units.

What types of payment are you willing to accept?

EDIT: nevermind, saw that it was LTC/BTC or possibly USD.

I would if I could, but I don't have them yet. Shipping update: Because the value of my package was over $2500, I needed to submit a lot of information about myself to DHL, including IRS tax number or Social Security number. Thats why it was stuck in the Cincinnati hub for customs. Sorry for the wait guys.

LOL... just joking, mate.  I'd like to get my hands on some of these, but I can wait.  I'm sure I'm going to hop onto the forums one of these days and completely miss out on these lol.  Happens every time I get excited about something  Cheesy

I guess I'll poke in this thread again. I got a bunch of kraft bubble mailers to send these guys in today. The risers themselves are in the Cincinnati hub in Ohio; Still on their way.
That's right down the road.. I may have to go break in there.. Cheesy

There's some interesting talk about max GPUS here : http://devgurus.amd.com/thread/158863.  A lot of people say real world scenario is 8 max.  But there is talk about the Tyan boards that had the full backplate of PCI-E ports, so I'm guessing you could get more than 8 in a high end server board.

I'd love to see if anyone is using those multipliers.  They must be sold out for a reason.  But notice how they specifically mention 2,3,4U server chassis in the description... I'm guessing going with a server MB with multiple processors would allow you to run a lot more cards that what's typical on a regular PC.
