This one? What is the model number and why is it better than this one?

Name:PCI-e express 1X to 1X/16x Riser Extender Card with extra power
Model:ST8019C (PCE164P-N02)

http://eshop.sintech.cn/pcie-express-1x-to-1x16x-riser-extender-card-with-extra-power-p-898.html

Looks this price is at 24 bucks right now pre bulk.

Huh interesting. A lil down on that page I saw this: http://eshop.sintech.cn/pcie-express-4port-1x-multiplier-riser-cable-diy-bitcoin-miner-p-899.html?zenid=gq1s1gksn1ihrpjvuscrnucr82

Could that be used to run a whole ton of GPUs?

If that works pretty well, I'd imagine we'd run into driver issues. What is the absolute maximum number of GPUs the Linux drivers can handle, if hardware wasn't an issue?

DHL Express tracking number has been received. They are on their way. I will create a new thread when they are in hand and available for sale and edit the first post of this thread with a link to the new one. I'm not comfortable taking pre-orders in case something goes wrong.

Any word on expected arrival?? I need some this week and would prefer these.

There is no solid ETA. It was mailed from China on December 23, 2013 with DHL Express Worldwide, which I think is typically 2-5 days. I'd post a tracking number, but I don't know how safe that is for me.

Thanks, that's good enough for me. I wouldn't ask you to post your tracking number. Looking forward to you receiving these!

I've been modifying my rosewill RSV-L4000 cases for a while now.  I need closed hot side cold side rack mounts and these can be modified all sorts of ways.  I just can't get 6 GPU's in them...

Got a picture?  I'd love to see one of these modded.  PM me if possible, I don't want to crash this thread(even though I already am).

Sorry, ssateneth.

How much to build a badass frame like that which is rack mountable?

4U - mounts for 3-4 front side 120mm fans, PSU and six cards?

I've been looking for 4u open air rigs for a while Smiley

The sata connector would connect to a sata power cable from your power supply.  It looks like the first image in the OP.
