Leclerc has won qualify for Baku. I really hope that tomorrow he will do a good race and also win it, I'm tired to see a nice racer like Leclerc doing so good in qualify mode and so bad in race mode. He deserves to win !

Let's see what will happen tomorrow, hope that he will be lucky.

Max Verstappen is somewhat disappointing what he has shown. Anyway, he is very good at racing and also better than LeClerc. I don't think you can overtake very easily at this track, but fun things always happen and a safety car will undoubtedly be on track again. I think Verstappen will win tomorrow anyway. In fact, LeClerc should win to keep the battle for the World Championship champ exciting.
And it is time for Hamilton to show something tomorrow.

Leclerc got the advantage by winning the pole position before the race on Sunday.
~snip

yeah, Leclerc is again on pole position, but what surprise me is that Perez is again above Max in first row, with second time in qualification
will be interesting to watch the race tomorrow
Mercedes is again closer, but Hamilton is far from form, and Russell is above him as well

and my plans to go on Hungaroring are probably down, still not decided about it

Leclerc got the advantage by winning the pole position before the race on Sunday. Sainz left the second and third positions to Red Bull drivers by making a mistake on his last attempt. A very exciting race is waiting for us tomorrow. Sainz's staying in the competition will be quite important for Ferrari to keep their hand strong in terms of strategy.

Frankly, I couldn't help after seeing that there were this much high odds for Sainz. And I have prepared my betslip which consists of Sainz to win the qualifying session in Baku. Even though Leclerc has been doing a great job in the qualifying sessions so far, we should always consider the possibility of a surprise too.

I just saw a lap in the official Instagram page of Redbull with Sergio Perez and the track is a really fast one, which for me translates that the favorites to win the Pole Position should be these guys again the Redbull team.Sure this track has also slow turns which favor Ferrari but the straights and top speed here I think counts more than the turns.I hope you win your bet but it will be difficult I think for Sainz to get the Pole Position in this track which is a really technical one,the drivers with better skills like Leclerc and Verstappen has higher chances than Perez and Sainz here.

I dont bet so much in F1 because of that. So many things can go wrong and you cant control any of these.

Yes amazing race, the most incredible last year was when Hamilton can have the win easily but he go so fast that go straigh in the first corner and have to retire.

We are going to have the Baku Grand Prix in F1 this week. Frankly, one of the most delightful GPs in the calendar is Baku. I lost so much money after Max was out of the race suddenly while he was leading the race in 2021. And I started not to bet so much money on F1 races after that date. Sportsbet is giving a 10 odd for Sainz to win the race. This allured me a little. Smiley

Yes Verstappen and Hamilton are for me the same thing, two arrogant and crying pilots.

And yes Leclerc have bad luck not Ferrari, because Monaco was completly fault of Ferrari making a shit stop in box. And in Spain okey the engine gives up, but still in the team to have reabilities.

My hope instead is to see a winnings from Leclerc in the next race. I'm tired to see an incident in every race. They in Ferrari are really bad lucky. Their cars are really strong this years and they doesn't deserve this. Leclerc is

the best, I don't like Verstappen so much, too much arrogant for my taste.

Also, happy that Hamilton has lost Its mastership Grin

I really want to see the freepractice in the friday, because i think we can have some surprises. The step ahead Mercedes made in Spain , they know in Monaco are going backwards and they said it before the race.

But now in this track we can (maybe) see another step ahead by Mercedes.

If i dont remember bad they have the maximum speed in Spain so lets see in the long straight of Baku

Frankly, I think that Sainz will win the race in Azerbaijan this week. Even though Sainz was the most deserving driver to win the Monaco GP, he couldn't overtake Perez because of getting stuck in the traffic after pit exit. As it is nearly impossible to overtake drivers on the Monaco track, he completed the race at the 2nd position.

I think it will be a fair battle between 4 drivers,2 of Ferrari and 2 of Redbull, the track at Baku is another city circuit but it is much better and it permits overtakes in different locations of the track, the DRS can make an impact in this track because now with the new regulations the cars follow each other closer than with the old regulations, this means that this race is anyone of the 4 drivers race,we need to see the final Friday practice to have a better opinion as to who should win it but I would be happy if Sainz wins this,he has been several times closer to victory even when he was at McLaren and also now at Ferrari,it is only natural for him to crown his first victory soon.

I think Sainz its a strong SECOND driver, he lack of that will to win or that force to push so so much for be a champion, i dont see in him that fire.

He its constant and a magnificent driver not missunderstand me, but he dont have the fire of chmapions.

Goss, the only its Ricciado its potentyaly away of Mclaren for the next season.

Humble guy though, he is saying it's the car (and everyone else is blaming the car) but he's also saying it's on him to adapt his style, plus he does know he's still second fiddle to LeClerc.

I think he should stop thinking about Leclerc and the team and focus on himself, surely he is capable of driving better than Leclerc and what is more important is that Sainz knows better to handle the pressure from what I have seen in the first races. He is somewhat more mature and if he was the main driver fighting for the races and the title most probably the title fight should be different. In Baku the track is great and offers a lot of overtaking spots, also it shows what drivers dare somewhat more and maybe for Sainz is time to dare to win here and not care about any team order or anything related like that.I like Sainz as a driver.

Hope you're right, and the table right now certainly proves it. It's also relatively early days sure, but I'm getting what I asked for (a season with no clear leader, no clear domination and inconsistent performances).

Sainz definitely needs this season to learn and mature, and his new contract probably means Ferarri boss is seeing this season as an investment. Definitely time to bet on him to win a race soon, Baku odds could be interesting if we get a super boost.

Anyone got fresh goss? Nations League not getting me juices flowing at all.

I know some of you have sung praises for Sainz previously, and 2 podium finishes in the first two races might now be submerged beneath DNFs after that but what do you guys think of drivers like him -- ignores team strong advice and goes with his gut, almost winning his first race because of that... or is that one lucky break to paper over performances that could be even stronger if he takes advice?

Azerbaijan  (baku) its like a Monaco but improved or updated, because its a city track but have a long long straight in which you can make an overpass.

The Baku circuit is amazing....
In the midst of an urban landscape that is much more beautiful than isolated circuits, it has roads as narrow as those of Monaco, several exciting curves and also a super fast straight line of more than 2km for good overtaking disputes.. it's one of my favorites. favorite circuits.
I already missed this circuit by playing F1 2020... I'm a disaster at it.

I dont know how much engines suffering we can see in that round.

At the same time we can maybe see a lot of upgrades made by the teams, so i dont know who can be the winner.
