The French GP is closing in on us. There is still one week to go of course. Leclerc got a really important win for himself and the team as well in the previous race. It is good to see the Leclerc - Verstappen rivalry being heated again now. I will be wondering if Leclerc can maintain his solid effort in the coming race too. The last French GP races were in 2018 and 2019. Lewis Hamilton won both of them. His car isn't in a good shape now so we are most likely to see a new winner. I expect this rivalry between Leclerc and Verstappen to go on here.

After a long break, I'm very happy for winning the yellow cap. When it comes to the race Ferrari were too fast compared to Red Bull.
If Sainz didn't have any problem with his car Ferrari were going to double very comfortably. Leclerc's problem with the throttle pedal in the last moments of the race scared me as a Tifosi. However Leclerc still managed to get past chequered flag staying ahead of Verstappen.

Leclerc has made absolutely an epic performance yesterday, considering what is happened with his accelerator.
It wasn't so easy to brake for him and also at the same time to keep at some distance Verstappen, but he was able to do that.
About me, that I'm an aggressive fan of Ferrari, I'm really happy, Leclerc deserves title this year !

I repeat if Ferrari doesnt solve the reliabities problems they cant compete against RB for the constructor champions. And for worst if Mercedes keep cutting the distance in terms of pace can be more difficult.

If the upgrade that they gave to Haas will have the same impact on Ferrari,then most probably Ferrari will be the Champions.Of course for this to happen two things are needed,one is for Redbull to not bring other upgrades to their car which I guess will not be the case as they are constantly working on their car,second and the most important thing is for Ferrari to solve in full their reliability problems,this is serious business as having reliability problems can be devastating as such a problem in the final race for example can lose the Championship to Ferrari so this is needed to be solved with an absolute priority and seeing the last race it looked like Ferrari got the opposite way,they sacrificed reliability for speed as they were faster than Redbull but at the expense of one racer out of the race and the other scary moments in the end.

Yeah I close a nice distance with you as the distance in points in a pool like that are really small and getting the pole or the fastest lap of the race can make a big difference in the end of the pool.I was once last in the first 3 races of the season and it shows that being consistent pays off in the long term.
For Hamilton I am always happy but unfortunately Mercedes did not brought the upgrades they promised as they promised to fighting for race wins from Silverstone and after.We are exactly in that part of the season,hopefully after the August official F1 holidays in the Spa race in Belgium we can see the true fighting for the race from Mercedes.That would just add up to F1 being more competitive and even better to watch.

It's the same with all the pools, consistency wins the day. It's like City really, you can afford to lose more times than Liverpool and still win the title as you win more games. Liverpool don't lose so much but fell short as they couldn't get a win out of draws. Sorry for football reference.
Look forward to see Mercedes bring it to the table then, I'm a complete neutral so a race to the wire is that excites me most.

Well again i keep pushing with Mercedes hahaha. A really good race to see, very interesting and funny.
Ferrari desesperate needs to solve the engine and mecanical realted problems, they cant be so bad in realibity. I didnt expect they win here against RB and MV.
We reach the half of the season oficially, and Ferrari spend a lot of his engine and components they are i a really risk i think for the final stage of the season if they continue whit the problems. I think Sainz engine after the fire can be very damaged.
In this race Mercedes was the team who score most point, really incredible having a worst car than RB and Ferrari.

It was a delightful race to me. Honestly I wasn't expecting this race to be this much competitive. Because Verstappen proved his speed already in the qualifying session and the sprint race both. I was waiting for a domination by him in the race as well. However Leclerc showed that he kept his real strength for the race. He was so fast that Verstappen couldn't keep him behind every time he was ahead of Leclerc. I'm really sad for Sainz because it was a really unfortunate and horrifying problem on his car. If he stayed in the car more then the situation would be much worse for him. Leclerc was nearly out of the race too because of a problem with throttle pedal but thankfully he managed to win the race still.

Congratulations to cls63 and ILuckyGuyI for winning the yellow cap of this race with 12.5 points.
Personally I am doing great as I missed it again in the 5 or 6 consecutive prediction week for just 0.5 points.I am happy with my performance in the last 5-6 races which I have instilled a good gap with people below me and I am near in points,reaching the people above me little by little,I just hope I continue with this same rate of correct predictions from which I am doing better than 9-10 other people every week.Chances are there to fight for the fifth place for real and even somewhat above that.

tomorrow finally it could be the day of Leclerc, he really a deserve at least another win in this season.

After the sprint race, we can say that RBR is stronger or faster heating up the tires.
Ferrari did good laps times but only after 4-5 laps, they were able to pair the timing of Max.
They need a god start of a undercut to able to winning imho.
That is very correct. The only battle Ferrari will get , it's between their cars and drivers as we saw in Sprint Race that they are nowhere near RedBull when it comes to speed trap and tyre management.
For me , it would be interesting to watch Mercedes here as they always performed in Austria and I won't be surprised to see either of them on the podium. Also , Mercedes always won a race in the first 10 races so if they won't win here or be on podium, the steak of so many years will be over for them.

Sir please note that Formula 1 Austria Grand prix is finished now, and Hamilton has finished on podium (3rd place).
I see instead that Ferrari can really compete against RBR, but should solve his problem of reliability if they wants to try to win this year. It was ridicolous to see Sainz's car in fire almost at the end of race.

Mercedes are starting to live up to a better rhythm. I already think that Mercedes have the best engineers among all of the Formula 1 teams. I would absolutely bet on Mercedes with some amount of money if bets for the champion team of next season were opened already now.
yeah, next season race could be Mercedes run, but this season seems to be over for them
will be interesting to see what they can show over the weekend, because that could influence rest of the season, but I do think that Max will not let this year title to go away, he is pushing it good at the moment, and LeClerc lost steam, after initial success
regarding Perez, he is probably not even allowed to play against Max
It really looks like Max Verstappen will just cling to the title this season but we are saying this considering the current situation of the season of course. We have newly reached the middle season now with the Austria GP. Everything can change in the other half as it is Formula 1 we are talking about. If Ferrari solve their tactical problems Leclerc still has a chance to catch up with Verstappen in time. He will just need to be patient. Hamilton did it last year and the champion was decided by literally the last lap in the last race of the season.
Verstappen just controlled the race after the difficulties he had in the first lap or two because he was attacked twice by the Ferraris but he could hold up and once he had a clear track ahead of him,he barely kept racing and didn't push the car to the limits,differently Leclerc forced the car as he made a really fast lap compared to the others but the fastest lap here is worthless as it does not give any point in the sprint race,it can give points only in the Sunday race.
On a side note for the prediction I already have 3 points because of EBP and because of Verstappen position,for tomorrow though my predictions got screw up during the race as I did not expect to see those Haas performing so well in this track.
