I really thought Mercedes could win this one after the FP and the qualy. But lets be real, RB car its ahead? Yes, but the main thing its ahead its Max Verstappen, he is really flying.

I have to say the race was boring because of PIEDRELI (Pirelli) how can be that medium compound didnt drop any pace against a hard one? Yes because all the tyres are hard as fuck.

And for finish we are in the last part of the season and we have to say, but not us but the FIA as to say.

"change everything so that nothing changes"

WE have the same RB against Mercedes from last season in the end of the season and all the fault its of.... YES Ferrari clowns once more time.

I was in the same boat last night Sad and it hurts me as an F1 fan to see this RedBull car being really uncatchable as it's destroys the racing...and then we had those Pirelli mediums that didn't had any rub on them for 40 laps ? like what is going on ? how can this be possible when we know that Max it's not the type who handles it's tyres in a good manner. This is one of the worst season in F1 history after the awful race of Abu Dhabi from last year ....and RedBull are involved on both of them.

Finally I managed to be a yellow cap all by myself during this pool,I had one shared with Cls63 with the highest scoring points for a round at 16.5 but now I am all alone not far from that with 15.5 points.I climbed up three positions and I am now third together with a couple of other users, but my gut feeling proved right this time.I needed Perez second and it would have been the all time high in points in the pool but that was not the case unfortunately.

Just two races remaining. However this season proved that if you are consistent enough you can fight till the end for a top 3 spot.I started last in the first two or three races as I was missing EBP points but then everything came.

The most boring Gp of the season I've almost fall in sleep in the middle.
The dominance of RBR is embarrassing with 16 wins if I can recall correctly.

It will be a fight between Ferrari and Mercedes for the second spot and in the end is better to end 3rd to get more hours of testing this winter for the following season.

If I was not in the pool here I would have fallen asleep as well but I hoped that the podium ended like this because I think I got a really good amounts of points in the pool.

However you have got something wrong,it is not the Redbull dominance that is embarrassing but it is the dominance of Max Verstappen,I did not see any domination from Sergio Perez during this season except a couple of races that he won but if he were the only driver of Redbull no one would be talking about them as he is not giving that much to the team.

I agree though the Ferrari really were slow during this race and I think they like many other teams have already started the development of next year car as there is nothing else to do.

Guess who again trust and went all in with the qualifier for Mercedes? Yes, me the same who say i have to stop to backing them so much  Grin

But.... was so close i put Russel for pole and he was really close. For more pleasure i went them to win the race hahaha  Cool

Tomorrow i dont know what to expect, for me surprise Ferrari its downhill every race what pass they are worst and worst.

I also picked Russell for the pole position and tried a surprise choice. I really believed in Mercedes in qualifying as they have seemed really strong so far at the weekend. But Verstappen still had a great lap and secured the pole position for himself.

Russell was in a situation that he could have taken the pole position but he made a mistake in last sector and he was out of track limits. He apologised to his team on the radio after that as well.

Even without that mistake he would have not made pole, the third sector was where Redbull was excelling yesterday night and there is where Verstappen did his magic,he got like 0.307 faster lap than the closest follower which was Hamilton, sure if Russell would not have made that mistake would most likely be him in the second place.Mercedes has brought considerable upgrades to their car in this year,I think they are the car with the better upside during the season, this makes me hopeful for a better season next time.

For tonight race though if everything is run in normal conditions I doubt there is anyone who can stop Verstappen.

I already got 3 points here,2 EBP and 1 for pole which I put Verstappen which I honestly did not believe would take pole after seeing Q1 and Q2 dominated by Mercedes and I thought probably Mercedes going to take the pole. The fact that Verstappen does 1.177 while everybody else is in 1.18 or 1.181 shows that Verstappen despite being already Champion his hunger for winning more and more of what is left for winning during this season is not over at all.

Let's see what the race brings tomorrow, that fast long straight line before the first corner is anybody game at the start, any of the first 4 drivers has an equal chance to come first out of that corner.

Mexican qualifiers has just begun and Max had a curious odd of 1.88 to win it but Mercedes looked so strong on all practice seasons and also always looked strong on this track in particular but I do see Max taking the pole in the end Cheesy. Tomorrow , race should be something else as I'm sure both Ferrari and Mercedes are looking for strong points here as championship points are becoming crucial for 2nd place lately on Constructor Championship.

They are dominating the second session of the qualifying the Mercedes cars, now Perez was near them and I think the only one who can beat them here is Verstappen that is why his odd was relatively high for winning a pole position with the best car on the grid so far.

Ferrari looks like is suffering and if they suffer in the qualifying where they usually are better than at racing then I am afraid that tomorrow will be even worse than this qualifying session of tonight session.

I don't think Max will let him win if Max himself is found to be in a situation where he can win the race himself. He won't care much about Perez as Perez winning would not mean anything more than pleasing the home crowd and a great personal feeling for Perez but compared to Max breaking the record I am sure Max will choose to break the record rather than help his friend, and by logic this is the right decision.
Maybe RedBull will give Max a new engine as Perez has taken a new one in Austin and by doing so, RedBull would avoid controversies on the track. Of course, even some places grid penalty for engine changes will not erase Verstappen's winning chances completely as he has shown in Belgium and Monza. But it would be a fair advantage for Perez as Verstappen has had an advantage in Austin.

A new engine could also help Verstappen against Leclerc, who has a new engine since last race (Austin), too and probably Sainz will also take a new engine in Mexico.
We still have the race in Mexico, a sprint race in Brazil, main race in Brazil and the final race in Abu Dhabi, so engine changes are still a considerable option.

As you say even with penalty the driving skills of Verstappen are normally the best from many in the starting grid now, even better than Hamilton because at Hamilton age plays a role while Verstappen is young at its peak still so no matter what penalty he gets he will have equal chances to win the race as the first guys,a Safety Car can completely change the race outcome so a lot of factors to take into consideration, normally we never saw a race in rain so far in Mexico so I exclude that as an option as well.

I don't think though the new engine showed something improved from Perez driving but a new engine under Verstappen control should be something different.

This is a meaningful race for Sergio Perez of course.

do you think that Max will let him win? somehow, I doubt that, he will try to beat some records with wins and points, and would like to win each and every race, no matter where

but, good news that some new motor constructors will join F1, and with better Aston Martin would be nice to have several teams capable to win races, not just one, or eventually two teams, like at the moment, when Max is almost unbeatable

I am carefully seeing each race of Aston Martin during the last 3-4 races where they have been consistent at getting in the points even when they started far behind the 10th place so this is a good indication that probably next year they will have a better car.

Yes b ut we have one problem with that. Aston Martin also promised improvements for two season to Sebastian Vettel and what he recieve..... nothing a really bad car. Lets hope Fernando can have a better car the next season.

I hope the next season we can have a 3 band championship fight between Mercedes RB and Ferrari, and one more team can be like Mercedes this year, so we can have really interesting races.

They promised to Seb when we had a clear supremacy of Mercedes and only last year Redbull started to show they are serious too.Now we are in a different context where this year was just a learning one for many teams and only Redbull and Ferrari got it somewhat right as only these teams have won races during this season if I recall it correctly.

Aston Martin bought a nice race German engineer which I forgot his name but I am sure that they at Aston Martin will surely be providing a better car than what they gave to Seb and most likely the 2023 season I have no doubts will better than this one in terms of competition.

Yes but i remember Racing point the season before was a pink Mercedes and their were really close to the top, but when AM comes , i dont know what happen and they have a shit car.

It was really emotional to watch Vettel leading the race despite being for a short time period. It carried me back to the times he was racing at Red Bull and achieving championships.  Smiley

We are in another race week by the way. This time our station is Mexico. This is a meaningful race for Sergio Perez of course. I remember that he finished the last race here in third position. Being on podium was still important for Perez then. But this time he might want more than this. Because him and Verstappen have a really nice advantage against the rest of the drivers. But he is still in a close fight with Leclerc in the standings. Leclerc has got ahead of him again and we would see another rivalry in this race I assume.

Apart from that, Verstappen would like to continue winning until the season ends. I don't think he would be very comfortable. So it is really hard for Perez to win this race.

Same feelings here, the bad pit stop destroy all my hopes of can see Seb in a podium.
Maybe this time can Verstappen let win Checo in his home race.... or he go for more victories to the record.

I really regret my decision of backing Mercedes so much this year, hoping their can make the come back i lose so much points by doing that.

In other things, do you see the hilarious sanction against Alonso?, the winner of the round has changed. I cant believe what its doing FIA, how you can put this stupid sanction.

Hilarious indeed as they should have shown him the black and orange flag during the race if it were this dangerous to race without the right mirror of your car.FIA does not give a sh*t anymore about anything and I don't know based on which regulation they sanctioned Alonso.

I see now with the sanction I am back at 5th place from six,I believe some McLaren or Ocon to be included in the ten first places.

Exactly that man, its a really bad decision from the race direction. I think Alpine and Alonso have to appeal this one. Its a total non sense.

I feel really bad for him because, wasnt his fault on the crash, he managed to survive, and after all this they come with this non sense, come on.

While I agree with you I think Alonso does not give a damn about what happened as he was not fighting for victory, sure the points are extremely important for teams like Alpine because in base of points they get a budget  from FIA but Alonso has other things in his mind now.

He is seeing like the rest of us the improvement of Aston Martin and maybe he is even dreaming of winning races next year because Aston Martin has promised him big improvements to the car or otherwise Alonso would not have accepted the deal.I hope Aston Martin perform well next year.
