So for all the Mercedes haters who all the times said ," FIA works for MErcedes", this again show this its not that way, Mercedes has to swallow first the cheated engine of Ferrari in 2019, the "Steal" of one driver championship in Abu Dhabi, and now RB making what they want to ensure the title by exceding the budge.

I agree with you CLS63, FIA needs to improve and fast, and even i agree with you with the punishment.

It looks like Red Bull will just be "lucky" about not getting any serious punishment for their exceeding the budget. This is really ridiculous. I don't know if blocking them from winning the championship is an option in the rule book. Maybe it would be too much to wait for I don't know. But some of their points could have been deleted for example. This might have heated up the title rivalry once again but they are just going to get away with this.

FIA are causing people to lose their belief in them quite sharply. First the unbelievable ending in the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP. There was a huge mistake there but it looks like they haven't learned their lesson at all. People will continue to criticize them until something starts to change. FIA are doing nothing more than harming F1 these days.

A really bad round for me, i pick 9 of the 10 correct points scorer but 0 bonus point GG.

I have to say i disagree with your opinion, for me was a really bad GP to see. I wait to the start until 2AM (here in Argentina) for...... one lap an a Red Flag, and for a lot of delayed restarts, i ended going to bed and watching the race after.

And for the race.... what can i say, only 2 battles and nobody cant overtake...

For the race directors.... what can i say. They made all in the bad way.

I also thought that no one else would have got 16.5 points in this race as I thought no one had got the balls to put Perez 2nd while I have done so several weeks in a row and today it was the day that I got them correctly.Well done to Max Verstappen for going to the 2 times Champion club and joining Alonso and some other great drivers in F1 history.I guess in those all 4 races left it can be entertaining only for us who still play in the pool because every normal fan of F1 has no reason to continue watching F1 races anymore while we will watch these remaining races full of emotion.

Username is the same as here in Sportsbet for me.

Exactly. The pool will be helpful for us to enjoy the remaining races as well. But the season has already finished for the rest of the people. Especially after FIA's disputable decisions in the Japanese GP I assume many people wouldn't be eager to watch the rest of the races in this season. I really don't understand how they can make very simple mistakes that even we wouldn't make. So to say that there have been big changes in FIA but it looks like the thing has changed is only the people not the management style.

We have watched a really enjoyable Grand Prix in Japan. Especially the competition between Perez and Leclerc for the second position continued until the last turn. And the winner was Perez at the end. Congrats to swogerino as well. To be honest, I didn't think that I'd share the yellow cap after seeing that I got 16.5 points. There is a quite big rivalry for the lead and third position in the pool now. I think that this rivalry will continue until the last turn of the last race.

Lastly the biggest greeting comes to Red Bull's Dutch driver Max Verstappen. As of this race, he's managed to become the world champion two times in a row.

Well done to swogerino for the yellow cap (not sure if it's shared actually by CLS63 again heh as Superbru dashboard isn't actually showing me any caps). Those 5.5 bonus points, I should say, quite an achievement too! I got all of 9 points for failing to get any position bonus points (ouch).

Four more races to go, can't you top guys let up even a little? Wink

Your knowledge about Formula 1 has increased quite much compared to the beginning of the season. I guess I don't need to say that you will be one of the strongest candidates for the 1st position in the pool next year (I've said it like quite a bastard Cheesy).

First time I got 16.5 points and a yellow cap in this race which strangely enough I found pole sitter, exact podium finishes and some driver in the top ten standings,I am the first at this round although I am sharing the yellow cap with CLS63 because we made again strange enough almost the same exact predictions.
-snip

congrats man, 16,5 points is a great outcome in any round
yeah, top2 positions are cleared, they will fight in-between, while battle for third position is still open

and Max won the championship, it was already known, but now it is mathematically impossible for him to lose it, congrats to him as well

Again strange enough I together with a couple of others are in the fight for the third spot meanwhile the top 2 I doubt will change, they will dispute top position between them only.It was a good race after all today morning.

I got and put a Verstappen pole yesterday and today he got it right now but he is under investigation because before starting his first lap in the Q3 which gave him the pole he made a very dangerous maneuver that forced Norris to go off track as he was coming fast also to start his lap.I believe though that since we are racing in Japan in the home of Honda no penalty will be given to Verstappen but let's see how investigation goes, nevertheless Redbull showed again that they are the fastest car even in such technical track like this one.

Verstappen got only a reprimand for that incident. I wasn't expecting a bigger penalty like a 5-sec penalty for example so I guess other teams won't object to this decision anymore.

Verstappen had a really good lap on his first attempt but he could have still lost the lead to Leclerc. There was a very small gap between them and Leclerc was nearly taking the lead from him. Verstappen didn't have a better lap time on his last attempt but still he was able to keep it. This session wasn't under rain of course. There is still a possibility for rain tomorrow. If we see this the race might get more exciting for us. Because this would make things more difficult for Verstappen to win this. I'm saying this considering his performance under similar conditions in the Singapore GP of course.

@swogerino  It's really difficult to predict qualifying session indeed. Actually Saturday is the least likely day for rain. If it doesn't rain then I believe Verstappen will have a big advantage to win the pole position. Red Bull have the fastest car on turns now and Suzuka track is just the one for them. It is very difficult for Ferraris to catch up with them as a result.

As for Hamilton, he might be able to surprise us only under rain. His performance in Singapore GP wasn't good though but I don't think it would be the same this time. Hamilton is normally the best driver under rain. Sunday is very likely for rain now so let's see if we'll see surprises.

Well another round ahead, Japanese GP.

It is really hard for me to see this one because its like 2 AM in my country.

I have no clue what can happen because of the rain, and the two first FP was no helping so much, i put some picks but without caring so much.

I don't know what to pick either for the Qualifying more than the racing but why not be radical for once and get to place a bet on Hamilton on pole,I know it can be very difficult for this to happen but why not,it showed that Mercedes was pretty good in the second practice which is also the final one before the Qualifying tomorrow at 6 AM in my country so most likely I am going to miss it.

I am just putting some random predictions as only a couple of races remain and I am not in a good position in the pool to be in a place where I can win something,so I am free to experiment also.

Yeah, we are going to watch the Japanese GP at the weekend.

This is one of the most difficult tracks in the calendar without doubt. Overtaking would be quite hard here as well. If the weather condition is bad then I can't even imagine what kind of a race is waiting for us. I've read some rain but we'll see. Two rainy races in two weeks would be quite interesting. Verstappen is very close to guaranteeing his second title now. I expect to watch a more concentrated Verstappen in this race after losing his grasp on the victory in Singapore. I think he will continue from where he left and get a reassuring win.

Verstappen and Leclerc both haven't got any win on this track.

I think this being a technical track and if we are racing in the rain,I mean not like that race in Singapore when we raced after the rain but racing in Japan under the rain it would greatly enhance the chances for Lewis Hamilton to win.He is one of the best drivers in rainy days and I haven't seen someone else from the track being as brave as him in these conditions.Of course he hit the wall in Singapore but this was because of the slow driver in front of him which made Hamilton lose his head trying to overtake that driver.I think in a technical track like this one together with the rain would make a very interesting race to watch.

The race was interesting and we see that in the pool results where 1st place and 7th from 12 that are participating were divided by just one point. It is apparent no one was expecting a Perez win and a Verstappen so far behind.Ferraris were really fast in this race and it was because of the track that Leclerc could not win otherwise with DRS in another track being so close he would have got the win.

The good news is that next weekend we are racing again in Japan but this time we Europeans need to get up really early to watch the game and I will get up as I never have missed a F1 race so far.

We have left a really interesting race behind.

By saying interesting I mean that there were so many incidents throughout the race. We have seen many SCs or VSCs. 6 drivers retired from the race. Latifi "the GOAT" was in-form again and he caused an accident in this race as well.  Grin  It was a horrible race for Verstappen and Russell. Especially Russell had his worst race of the season after all that consistent impressive streak. Verstappen could have finished the race in upper positions and maybe he'd have even fought for the lead. But he was too aggressive while trying to overtake Norris and flied out of the track. If he was a little more patient DRS was going to be a big help for him.

Perez was definitely the driver of the day. He had a great start and overtook Leclerc at the beginning. He didn't lose his lead even for once after that. The last laps were really exciting until Leclerc started to make simple mistakes. He just finished himself and helped Perez win by a big gap like 7.5 seconds.

We have left qualifying behind and Leclerc won the pole position nicely. As my pick was him for the pole as well I'm contented with the result. However if the weather condition was much better than this then things might have been different. Leclerc must be thankful for Verstappen about not being able to finish his last attempt due to fuel issues. Maybe it was a big disappointment for Verstappen as he is going to start in 8th position. But he still has the fastest car on the grid so he shouldn't have big difficulties in climbing and competing with Leclerc for the win.

Yeah, everyone needs a bit of luck now and then, and since I don't really have anything left to play for except yellow caps, I'd be seriously happy for Verstappen to lose his footing and nerve over the next few races to see LeClerc eat up the distance. A bit of a shame he didn't go on to win, but 2nd place still means he reduced the deficit by 10 points.

Look at Checo though! Woo!
