I got Leclerc in qualifying and I knew he was to lose it from Verstappen which was -0.989 faster in the second sector of the lap but then I didn't get at first why he stopped but then the only scenario is maybe he got no fuel left which was the case.

It is always better to start the race with 3 points by getting the early bru points and the qualifying one, whatever happens in the race happens as it is predicted to rain in the forecast and in the rain we may see some outsider as the winner of the race, everything can happen.

I don't remember any rainy night race in Singapore before. So this would be really interesting if it happens.
At least 2017, heavy rain occured before the race / during the start and when Vettel started from Pole, he had a bad start, Verstappen and Raikkonen behind him had a very good start and they crashed before turn 1.  Undecided Cry:

Hamilton had a very easy win after it, while it dried up quickly.

But I don't know about additional wet sessions in Singapore.

I totally forgot about this race. I agree with you about the track to dry up in no time. If it doesn't rain for a long time then it wouldn't take much time to see the track coming back to normal in a short time while it is very hot there.

We have left qualifying behind and Leclerc won the pole position nicely. As my pick was him for the pole as well I'm contented with the result. However if the weather condition was much better than this then things might have been different. Leclerc must be thankful for Verstappen about not being able to finish his last attempt due to fuel issues. Maybe it was a big disappointment for Verstappen as he is going to start in 8th position. But he still has the fastest car on the grid so he shouldn't have big difficulties in climbing and competing with Leclerc for the win.

Come on Man! WTF was that?

Two times Verstappen abort his lap when he can be in pole, and i put him in the pole.

He got no gas left.

The F1 cars need to have 1 liter left in the tank for test purposes at the end of the last lap.
This is why sometimes in rare cases drivers stop the car at the end of the race in the mid of the track.
If Max got the pole-position then he had to be disallowed and he had to start as last.

Starting 8th was the best scenario.

Heavy rain in Singapore? Well, I think that in such case Bernd Maylander or red flag would be favorite Cheesy. C'mon, they don't allow to race during in old school tracks. Racing on wet track in Singapore is impossible. There is big chance of rain during race weekend, but I really don't want to see rain during race.

They should let racing in the rain, well when there is even some heavy rain but when the visibility is clear,if the drivers do not have visibility then it is nonsense to continue racing.I think that the drivers should decide that in a common meeting after doing a couple of laps behind the Safety Car,if visibility is normal then there is no reason why to not race.I know the dangers but isn't F1 a dangerous sport after all,yes it is as drivers are racing with 300 km/h or more as a speed and even in dry weather it is dangerous.I think drivers already have taken this in consideration before becoming a F1 driver.

Maybe the drivers would have a really big difficulty in seeing the track properly under rain in a night race.
Spray could result in a very bad sight, yes. But normally, temperatures are very high in Singapore, so the track should dry up quickly.

Maybe the drivers would have a really big difficulty in seeing the track properly under rain in a night race. It is really probable to see some surprising results in qualifying in case it rains. This might be an opportunity for Leclerc as well actually if the conditions will be like this. I don't know how good Verstappen would do under rain. He still has the best car on the grid maybe but this kind of difficult conditions are quite tough for him too.

Even if Leclerc wins here his championship chance is almost impossible of course. There are mathematical calculations but those don't mean anything from a logical aspect. Leclerc can only try to keep the second spot in the standings as Perez and Russell are very close to him.

I see:

Heavy Rain : GOATIFI into Q3
Medium Rain : Stroll Pole
Rain no matter intensity : Russel fighting for Pole.

Rain in the race: Hamilton going all the race with one set of inter.

Well, talking seriously, i like rain weekends, so a boring race can change to a really good one.

Vettel on podium , that's the dream for me this weekend! The Lion Of Singapore should roar one last time before he retires, and Singapore is his home when it comes to F1 but, with a bit of luck and a great setup for the car , Vettel should be able to do it.

Realistic view , RedBull always looked amazing here so I don't see Max losing this race and most likely his focus now is to break the record of Schumi and win the remaining races as that should put a big statement upon his name and for the upcoming drivers in F1. Grin

Don't forget to put in your Superbru predictions for the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend.

Do you want to make my pick blind?  Tongue

Joke asides, i wait until the Free practice to see what its new in the teams.
I dont like so much this track because of his so hard to overtake but lets see with this new cars.

I also wait to see how the cars behave in the free practice as it gives me a good overview of how the cars are behaving and what to predict for the qualifying and the race. This Grand Prix though is different in terms that a Safety Car can be very much deployed here and who knows what happens then, the odds for Verstappen to win are ridiculously low which does not make sense to risk money on him,as in this track is a long one and quite unpredictable because it is like a street circuit.I missed a night GP so it is good that finally we are again seeing one after a long time.

maybe Max losing some points here and there but that should be all.

it was clear weeks ago that Max will be a champion this season, I would even say that this was one of those boring seasons, where everything was known at half
not sure what Leclerc need to become a champion, but it isn't viable this season, maybe next one, if Ferrari improve their car

but I would like to see Hamilton next season, is there any response from him to Max domination

If Leclerc finished first all the other races and somehow Max takes only 2nd place and 2dnf and 1 over 10 place on the grid...then maybe Charles will win the championship lmao but this is the most extremist formula that will make him a champions and I don't see any of this to happen...maybe Max losing some points here and there but that should be all.

Of course that is a dream outcome that you want to see and it is never going to happen unless some "force majeure" forces Max to crash in every remaining race. For Verstappen it is a walk in the park and he needs to be careful to not crash during these remaining races and he will get what he wants,he will join the 2 times Champion club which have some pretty great drivers there like Alonso for example.

Redbull is on another planet and this season of F1 is well over,we just watch the races because we are fans of F1 but I expect no big emotions during the remaining races.
When you look at the season in general, you might think that Ferrari made more mistakes, but there are some very serious mistakes that leclerc made while momentum was on his side. The mistakes made by the team may have definitely caused a loss of motivation, but he threw away an average of 50-70 points due to his own mistake. You can keep your relatively slow car in the championship race with your piloting. We saw an example of this in the Max-Lewis duel last year. He is not yet in the mentality to lift the championship race. It is very difficult for him to stay psychologically above such a faultless opponent and give high performance every race.

Every time I hear about a new circuit I am happy. Most of the tracks,in Europe at least are somewhat similar so finally next week we will be in Singapore which is one of the beautiful tracks that has been around from some years now but is a relatively new track compared to the old ones.I am excited to see that night race in Vegas in the next season,I know it is going to be huge.

This new circuit based on the drawing looks impressive to say the least,it is long that is a sure thing but I cannot judge how long, most likely a bit longer than SPA which will make it the longest circuit of the season when we will race here.

Fans are happier but the teams are not.

The next year we will have 23 races and considering the 12-week break (8 if we consider the tests) we will have 23 races in 46 weeks ish.
If they add 1 more we will have 24 races and almost 3 races every month. It will be a good time for us.

The Colombian Gp due to the climate of the country can be added either in August or December, it will be always 30°C. ish.

I am sure teams will overcome their difficulties,in the end every sport is run for the fans otherwise what would be the point in running a race in empty stands where there are no fans at all.Having said that I wish we see at least 3 races in a month as weekends are always much better with a F1 race rather than without one.

For next season hopefully we will see you join us in the pool here, you always write at the Motorsport thread so you know a thing or two and it would be great for the next season pool of F1 to have more participants.

Do you know how much longer its a lap (in terms of km)? Because seems really long the desing seems good but lets see, i also think between corners 05 and 09 we can have some overtakes.

I have one "problem" with all the new circuits in F1, i think most of us see this kind of videos, but everysingle time when i see a new track i cant stop thinking in how they made the layout and this its incredible accurate haha.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fAyvMPFfUA4

Its shocking how good with only a rubber band you can made some nice multiple and random circuits.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeaoEqV2poo

I've found a video like this claiming that the length is 5.350km. But we would find out the details about the track for certain later on.

And yeah, I've seen that video also.  Cheesy  Maybe it's for fun but it can be used to make a draft of a new track.  Grin  Adding new tracks to the calendar is always good news for us indeed. But I assume that they would prepare the calendar according to that to prevent teams from having bigger difficulties in a season. Increasing the number of races would be negative news for them in the end.

Thanks man for the video, we can have some clue with this but not so much.

Sorry but i apreciate the effort of the guy who made the video but, i have one question its RTX ON?. Super graphics he have to check if his graphics card can support this super graphics.   Cheesy

The track looks not so bad, I can spot at least 2 points for easy overtakes with these cars (they can follow closer than ever).

The bad thing about it seems to be the length, I hope it is not accurate at all.

For that i ask for the length, i think the corners maybe are good but can be so dangerous to make a overtake if the distance are short between corners.
