The weather should be sunny for the qualify so it should be an easy task for Max in this track

I can see Leclerc second if he manage to do the perfect lap.

I will be expecting the podium to change this time to be honest. I picked a podium of Verstappen, Perez and Leclerc respectively for now. Verstappen and Perez choices must be quite common among the people here I assume. Red Bull have the fastest car by a huge gap with the others in the end. As long as these drivers don't have issues with the car they should be good to go.

But this time I decided to believe in Leclerc to make it to podium. He won the last Australian GP by the way. Maybe his luck will be on his side as well to finish on podium at least.

It's always exciting to see a change in the podium, and your choices of Verstappen, Perez, and Leclerc seem like solid picks. It's true that Red Bull has had a significant advantage over the other teams so far this season, and as long as Verstappen and Perez can avoid any issues with the car, they have a good chance of finishing on the podium!!
As for Leclerc, he has shown in the past that he is capable of performing well, and his victory in the last Australian GP is a testament to that. It will be interesting to see if luck will be on his side this time and if he can make it to the podium. Wink

Frankly when we look at his performance this season I think 4.20 is a quite good odd for Perez to take the pole position.
I think he took pole position last time in Saudi Arabia and Verstappen did it in Bahrain, so I think it's time for Verstappen again Smiley
This is only milliseconds difference that decides but I think they could have some kind of team agreement between drivers.

Guys don't forget to make your predictions in Suerbru, I almost forgot about that, being busy with crazy BSFL league questions  Grin

Im going to wait to the FP3 to put my picks, because this second practice was pure rain, so no clues for us.
Every seems to be identical to the other races sadly.

This time i can wait for the FP3 because here its gonna be Friday at 22.30, nice hour, and the qualy its at something like 2am, so when the FP ended i can took my phone out on a bar with a couple of drinks and put my predictions after checking the results of FP3.

You are lucky to live in Argentina then,at least for this race  Grin,I of course put my picks already and I don't intend to change them at all,I am confident in another podium for Alonso,in fact if I were to gamble with the picks I would go for a Alonso win as if it rains I am pretty sure that Alonso can win this race,he together with Hamilton are some great rain drivers but Hamilton lacks performance in his car compared to Alonso.

If I happen to wake up at 4 AM European time I am sure I can change my picks without losing the 2 EBP but that sound like an almost impossible task for me especially now that is weekend  Grin.

Alonso is getting more and more comfortable with every lap he is doing on this AM and if he continues to deliver like this , Aston Martin development can sky rocket due to the feedback Alonso is providing and with engineers so capable behind this team , I'm sure they will deliver a championship car next year.

I also thinking he can achieve another podium on Sunday and if that happens , I don't see Ferrari fighting for 2nd championship places like last year because Stroll even if he won't have the same pace like Alonso , he is constant and he can deliver that top 6 for most of the season that result in important points.

I also agree that Alonso the more drives this car the better he becomes at it,of course all those years of experience in a car which he has claimed 2 times already that this car is very enjoyable to drive will achieve such results. It is I think also because Aston Martin is constantly working on upgrading this car and Alonso will be there to reap the benefits,I would not be surprised at all if Alonso one or a couple of races during season as we saw that Redbull supremacy was not that huge in last race despite dominating the race, they did not create a huge gap like in the first race.

On a side note everybody do not forget to put your picks as the qualification is early in the morning tomorrow so if you forget you lose those precious 2 EBP points.

Most likely, we'll be in for a wet FP1 and FP2.
Probably a wet FP3 and wet qualy, too:

It could be a weather lottery this weekend, very difficult to make a forecast, a bit volatile according to this report.

Even though there is only a 15% chance of rain there, a lot can happen with the race strategy, somehow I have the feeling Alonso and Ferrari could surprise a bit.

Would be nice to have a wet qualiy as rain is always exciting to mix up the starting grid but around 25% for qualy is not very much.
Mabye we are lucky and it's still wet in Q1.  Smiley

25% usually means a lot of clouds, but few drops
but yeah, I would also like rain on qualifications, to see mixed up starting grid, and turnovers during the race

however, it is hard to expect that it will slow-down Max, he proved that he is able to catch-up fast in Saudi Arabia, only driver that finished in front was his colleague from the team
Alonso being top spot on P2, LeClerc on position 2, interesting, does not mean anything, but Mercedes only fourth, Russell

(it's a German website presented by Kachelmann, a very famous and professional weather host, who's know for his accurate research and commentary. Light blue means possibility of at least 0.1 mm rain during the intervals; medium blue at least 1mm (it's already Australian time zone))

I check the news and i heard some good ones about Mercedes and Ferrari, seems like they are going to have a big update in their cars.

Both Mercedes and Ferrari aim to have this upgrades for Imola or Azerbaijan, i expect a little more from Mercedes because they are talking about a B car, so  big changes.

The only and main problem its... yes maybe you upgrade your car but what about Red Bull?, if they also upgrade and you cant cut the gap we remain the same.

About Aston Martin i dont heard so much.

I expect to see big comeback from Mercedes team in next few races and they are working on fixing some issues with their car.
This could mean that Lewis Hamilton and George Russell could win more points and finish in top positions, but main question for me is team Ferrari.
Leclerc is not doing great this season, he is no t happy with his car and I am not sure if he can repeat last year when he won Australian Grand prix.
What are your predictions for next race?

Predictions for next race for me are almost the same as this last one,the reason is simple, two weeks are not enough to change things around as we saw that Redbull has a clear advantage and is dominating the season in a big way already, all other teams have to work hard in order to close the gap first and then working their way to fight Redbull. As a start they should start to close the gap and compete against Aston Martin, they should start with them in mind as their opponents,Ferrari and Mercedes has Aston Martin to fight of first and then start to think about Redbull.

Leclerc with that message in radio "staying this behind is not funny and I don't know what to do" shows all the Ferrari struggles at once.Mercedes is even worse so the predictions for next race should be the same as the last one.

It's true that Mercedes has been working to fix some issues with their car, and it's possible that Lewis Hamilton and George Russell could win more points and finish in top positions in the next few races. However, it's difficult to predict how well they will do without knowing more about the specific changes they've made to their car and how those changes will affect their performance!!as for Ferrari, Charles Leclerc has struggled in the early part of the season!!!and he has expressed frustration with his car. However, it's worth noting that Ferrari has made some progress in recent races, with Leclerc finishing fourth in Bahrain and fifth in Imola. It remains to be seen whether he can repeat his success from last year's Australian Grand Prix, but Ferrari could be a team to watch in the upcoming races!!!
I made my predictions early, so good luck to everyone.

I guess no Hoodie and Hat Sportsbet combo for me and you, unless we perform some miracles with many correct predictions and win Yellow Cap.

it is a really nice action from Sportsbet to provide combo for Yellow cap winner, and that will put additional effort to make best predictions

there is time to make good strategy for Australia and win it
seems that top two positions are reserved, but Ferrari and Mercedes have enough time to improve and overcome Aston Martin in Australia

I doubt this, the time is equal for all the teams to improve,I don't think that Aston Martin will be losing their time and even Redbull maybe thinking that this will not continue forever, the dominance,so every team has the same time for working on upgrading their cars.I also think that for such short time the podium is already Redbull and Aston Martin under normal race conditions and usually the Australian track is a boring race as it is a very technical track despite being a really fast one,so I think even here we would see a Redbull total dominance.
