yeah, it is always good to perform better in pool where do you know less than in pools where you know as much as possible, happens all the time

as seeing new faces, seems that this pool will have more participants than last season, and will be harder to be in top positions

We are already at 18 right now so passing that first objective of over 20 looks like easy as we have time to invite users until 17 March when the payment deadline is,this way I know they may lose the first race and this can be a turn off for them but hopefully we manage to surpass that 20 mark before official qualifying starts on Saturday.I see many familiar faces but many of them are first time participants in this pool so this year is going to be better than last one but the difficult part is that most probably I won't make it to the prize spots that easily this year Grin

Sometimes, later in the season, teams are also taking engine penalties (affecting starting grid) which are announced over the weekend mostly before qualifying but sometimes also after qualifying.

Believe me, it's not. Last year I tried it in first part of season and I was completely in the bottom. Engine penalties isn't that big factor if we talk about Top3 teams as they usually recover positions throughout the race. Things like crashes or rain is bigger game changer.

Alright, I've already tried to make a prediction only for pole position of Bahrain GP and I need to enter all predictions at once, so probably we won't miss it anyways (changed from last year?) and now, it's only possible to lose our Early Bru Points for changes made after qualifying.

Deadline for sending participation fee is March 17 and as far as I know, spots are not limited to a specific number of participants. As much peope as want can join.

First of all, welcome to the pool.

The 2023 Formula 1 season is starting with practice sessions on Friday. You don't need to be in a hurry to make the payment for now. You can make the payment until March 17.

Even if you don't have much idea about it practice sessions on Fridays would give you nice clues for a race week.

Frankly, the thing that was carrying me in the pool last year was definitely EBP points. Therefore I will absolutely build my predictions on making them before qualifying sessions in this year too. Red Bull absolutely look stronger than their opponents. However if Ferrari don't make silly mistakes this year just as the last one they can compete with Red Bull.

this is really important, since most rounds will bring between 10-13 points, so 2 points are almost 20% per round
maybe you will change your picks after qualifying on Saturday and lost it due to some unexpected result on qualification, but it will be a rare event (as I remember, didn't change it ever after entering on Friday)

A fresh start is nice. There are practice sessions on Friday. The qualifying session is on Saturday and the race is on Sunday. swogerino has explained it however it could be beneficial for you to look into this post.

We are guessing the Pole Sitter -who will win the official qualifying 1 point
We are guessing the Podium-winner,runner up,second runner up,2 points each if found in the correct order,1 point if found but not in correct order
We are guessing 4-10 place-1.5 point each if found correctly,1 point if found but not in the correct order

It is great that some people of the other pools are joining this year in F1,last year we were so few people,just 12 in total and looking how things are going so far I am assuming we can reach well over 20 people until 17 March which is deadline for payment and as such the sponsored prize can easily be 75 mBtc which is a great amount to add over the entry fees each participant pays.

We are starting this very weekend with the first race and I am expecting a good fight and a lot of surprise results in this first race as that is what tests indicated but I am waiting until Friday practice to put my picks.
