... well, the Los Angeles Dodgers were outscored 10-2, (1-1), without a doubt a player like Shohei Ohtani "should" guarantee at least playing in the finals, but we are still waiting, that is why he changed teams, one with more chances than the previous one he was on.
One may not be a Dodgers fan, but we all want a Dodgers Vs. NYY final.  Cool

Betting on the the San Diego Padres in my first bet of the MLB Playoffs  Smiley

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/10/05/irZB9.png

I'll go with the opposite pick. I'm considering the homecourt advantage and it's the Dodgers man. loo they're the favorites to win the championship this year.  Hopefully Shohei Ohtani won't disappoint my pick.

Also I'm picking KC over NYY because that time they're leading but now they're losing. lol

Thanks for the picture and the link, yesterday I bet on the Milwaukee Brewers, they were winning 2-0, having done the job in the top of the seventh, 2 runs seemed impressive but in the style of a good script, 4 runs in the ninth gave the NYM the WC...

So, the confrontation of the Big Apple is still alive... something like Atletico Madrid against Real Madrid, I say a few days ago in another "baseball" post a user tried to find a similarity with soccer, to follow that Honda.   Smiley

...///::: the safe zone.
+1
Interesting point of view, and I am very grateful for that comment, which is very valuable to me. It is something that really makes the difference between including it or not against certain rivals in those multiple bets, and in fact, it is one of those data that can only be appreciated with the situation of each season in the monitoring of the teams (I really had not seen it like that this season).

And it is very much a baseball thing, since keeping away from injuries players in good times regardless of whether they lose certain games is something very typical of the MLB. I have seen teams on Sundays leaving star players free so that they can have a family Sunday, well, I haven't read it again recently but I did in the past. (e.g.)

So, not having a pitcher who should come in the rotation, or changes in the rotation, etc. it is something I have to review again, that might improve my multiple bets, thanks for the information.

Exactly my bet slip result whenever I place bet on MLB. We have same favorite team New York Yankees. That team as a glass cannon, good when they have the momentum but terrible when they are already at the comfort zone rank since they frequently lose even with teams that was supposed to be an easy match for them.

They are currently at top spot on ALE but with close score to Orioles so they are good now to bet but not that over commit since they are already in the safe zone.

I've been placing several bets MLB this season, but this month things haven't gone very well, so there's no better thread to bring up these hardships... in a sport that's easy to bet on Wink

As you can see the key this season of my multiple bets is the NY...  Roll Eyes

Interesting "@5.6," although we know that someone here is going to choose @36 if I'm not mistaken  Smiley (Boston?)

But the betting market is still not available in SB, or I can't find it,
 https://sportsbet.io/sports/baseball/

The MLB doesn't appear there...!(?)
Sportsbet will probably offer odds closer to Spring Training (February 22) but don't quote me on that.

From my understanding, their manager Alex Cora will return for a sixth season (even after finishing last in the AL East in back-to-back seasons).
Your BoSox are ~30/1 to win the 2024 World Series.

Must have read it wrong before... I see now that it's the chief baseball officer who's going to get a new face. Now I'm looking, 30/1 doesn't really sound so attractive, to be honest, but I'll hit it if it gets to 50/1.

@casperBGD @famososMuertos I like this wild card concept for sure, it's really the type of format that I prefer, giving a chance for underdogs and giving great value to my style of outrights. As I mentioned earlier, the winner had rather worse winning percentages than others. I know there are big arguments for rewarding consistency but wild cards amp up the randomness -- me likey.

Congratulations OP, also those who achieved the corresponding "crosses," and they worked, in my case, I was going for the Rangers for the championship but in game 7.

So, for game 5 and the hypothetical game 6 my bets would go with Arizona, whatever, the post season went badly for me.

To question above, Casper, in fact it is the first title for the Texas Rangers and not only that, the MLB formula works with its wild card idea, it was a world series with two of the worst of the best teams.  Smiley

In other words, the opportunity to win a World Series title is not necessarily contested by the best teams of the season.
