Pedri's goal from the shot touched Auba and the goal and has been awarded to Auba, so he has a Hat trick on his first game for Barcelona as a starter. Pedri deserves commendation though for that nice shot on target. For Auba, it is a clear show that a happy player puts in more efforts, he was definitely no longer happy at Arsenal, Barcelona will be good for him, he has already started well.
Let's just hope it stays that way both for Barca and Auba, they need each other. Sometimes it happens that new players starts very good and then looses the touch soon. Just look at Lukaku example in Chelsea, he came scored some incredibly important goals in though matches and then disappeared.

Must admit that I doubted Auba signing the most. I was expecting most from Torres and he started by blasting every opportunity over the goal.

First some brilliant goals and assists from Traore, today a brace from Auba. Must be good times to be a Barca fan eh slam, and I know it's Valencia but they're capable of tripping up teams.

Yeah, so far this is proper derby and after 60 minutes of game we haven't saw any goals scored. Athletic so far is more active and aggressive, while Real Sociedad haven't been dangerous. But I didn't expected that it will be match without goals.

four goals in the end, and Bilbao trashed Sociedad, who would see that coming after 60 minutes
they were a bit better whole match, but scored almost all opportunities after first goal, nevertheless missing penalty in first half

Celta is closing this round tonight, should be an easy home win, but Levante won in Madrid, and maybe they could repeat the upset

Happy about Barca performance today, not that often Barca score 4 goals away, especially against historically difficult opponents like Valencia. Auba was awesome today. Last week with Napoli we also didn't played bad, just wasted so many moments. It may have big coast in 2nd leg game.

Don't think so, this will be a proper derby with little opportunities and lot of defensive work. Bear in mind these are 2 among the best defenses in La Liga at the moment. I am expecting a low scoring draw tonight and we will be lucky if that ends up being 1:1 and not 0:0. Skipping this one and rather watching some tennis finals.

Should have been a bit more adventurous than 2-0 pick but who'd have guessed 4-1 anyway?
2-0? big mistake, i've said it a few times here in this thread, Barca + BTTS = easy peasy  Grin  look at @Trofo, making bank off Barca's good attack and their terrible defence  👍

somehow believe that this match would be good to watch (somehow I like this derby very much), although it was a boomer last few times, without much actions, even when they played for Copa Del Rey
this derby always delivers top entertainment, great way to end the weekend... i went with a 1-2 Sociedad in the pool, they're looking pretty good lately, except for that loss in Copa del rey (if you remove that game they are unbeaten in the last 9 games), they're also unbeaten in away games since december, plus unbeaten in this derby since 2020 *EDIT  jinxed

La Liga was good for me today, had a classic both to score on Barca and started to get a little nervous when Valencia had 2 goals disallowed in first half. Best possible outcome for me in the end, money on the ticket, great game and Barca win. If only I got correct score in the pool but that is pushing it a bit Smiley

Should have been a bit more adventurous than 2-0 pick but who'd have guessed 4-1 anyway? Not much interest in remaining La Liga games tonight, nor anything else really, and I can't bear to see how it's turning out for me in this pool haha. GL to those watching.

regarding Barca, it was expected, not that I thought 1:4, but Valencia secured their middle table spot, and focused on Copa Del Rey trophy

3 exact scores thanks to Benzema penalty. There was never any doubt in the end, and Real extends their lead at the expense of others who failed to win. Barca game is thankfully "early" enough for me to watch, so I'll probably catch at least the first half. Odds are very very balanced there so most are expecting a draw Smiley

Now I just have to go down the list and take care of the rest of the guys in front of me, so pretty much all of you for this pool Smiley

Real Madrid is playing quite poor in the first half, I expected them to come out all guns blazing after loosing to PSG during the week. They need a bit of moral booster before second leg of that match. Still plenty time to turn it around though.

Villareal got the 3 goals I needed, but happy they scored 4-1 to still give me a close score but remove half a point from all those 2-1 wins from others haha. Problem is Granada also found a way to score. 3 penalties apparently, and a hattrick, who would have figured huh! Liverpool having a weird game... so far. Conceding 2 corners to Norwich in first minutes, but hammering and getting nothing.

I see Atletico's also holding onto a slim lead. Back to basics?

I'm surprised to get the exact score on Juventus, and look at MoSala completely changing the table with that exact win as well, well done! Poor Rayo Smiley

Yes, MoSala has been tearing it up every pool I can see, finally, the pos-mid-season buckling has arrived and I feel like it could all quickly unravel, but still, for someone to get yellow caps like that, to get exact scores on Juve, I say well bloody deserved.

All I have now to do is just do what I've been doing and hope for the best.

Villareal was supposed to be La Liga representative in Conference league but because of United, they won the rights to play-off for UCL and well, imagine the gap between one win and one loss... Spurs in Conference and Villareal in UCL Last 16 vs Juventus!

Ohh so that's what happened and yes, I think people always forget that if you can't finish in Top 4, there is always a chance to go all the way in Europa, and qualify from there. It's actually a very valid option if you sense you can reserve all your strength for the competition which doesn't come so often anyway.

Elche is playing Rayo tonight, interesting match, good odds on Elche
remember when Rayo were fighting for an Europa League spot? feels like it's been ages since we last saw them playing good football... Elche are the underdogs according to the bookies, but looking at Rayo's past performances, this looks like a 50/50 game. Rayo with no wins in the last 5 games, Elche lost only once in the last 5 🤔 i predicted a Rayo win, but bet-wise i'd stay away from this match
This smells like a quite boring goals with maybe 2 goals in it. That is my prediction for the pool, 1:1, but I am staying away from it when betting, much better options in other leagues and tennis today to even consider this game.

Thinking about playing against Atletico Madrid tomorrow but I don't really believe Osasuna has what it takes to make them loose more points. Will probably end up with both to score on my ticket.

no lose mid-week for Spanish teams in Europa league, but Real did not make it in Paris, Mbappe scored with a bell

One team I wrongly picked to perform strongly after the break to be honest. Them appearing in the Copa del Rey semi was their best night in decades, and of course they can still win the return leg and force themselves into the final, but I should have paid more attention to internal issues. Had no idea fans and president were all at war, and that's been getting worse and affecting the games and team. After beating Barca, Alaves, Espanyol winter took all their form away, what a shame.

I noticed no Spanish team in Conference league, didn't keep track so didn't even realize until now. What happened there?

While we are on Barca topic, they are playing Napoli in Europa league in a couple of hours. This one could have been in CL easy. Should be a cracking match and my tip of the day for both to score. I am expecting result like 2:2 or maybe 3:2 for Barca.

I played so many bets on this and lost them all sigh. Even when I did BTTS I made it also BTTS and win.

Barca:
Over 1.5: lost.
Score both halves: lost
Win and BTTS: lost

Not to mention they ruined my weekend multibet. AND my La Liga multi but I can't blame Barca alone as Sociedad also couldn't win (but that was supposed to be easy for Leipzig).

It was supposed to be a Champions League game for sure, and it's still crazy that Sporting was in last 16 and we weren't. But at least Betis and Sevilla won their games. I noticed no Spanish team in Conference league, didn't keep track so didn't even realize until now. What happened there?

And yet the bookies are consistently backing Barca and Atletico, while Sociedad is this week's underdog in their match too -- normally you see an odds swing in the EPL (to my observation) with teams like Arsenal, Leicester and Spurs regularly matched as underdogs based on form (Foxes and Spurs 13/1 to beat Liverpool and City respectively, that is absolutely unthinkable without looking at form to me). But I have yet to see teams like Barca and Atletico get odds worse than 4/1 this entire season -- which doesn't make sense if you think about form.
Absolutely true, bookie algorithms are based on longer time frame and they are often posting odds influenced by past seasons results. I see this especially in both to score markets. You can still get much better odds on Atletico BTS then on Real BTS and I am quite sure situation is very different this season.

Just maybe 2 months agao it looked that Barca will be far from CL spot, but things changed a bit. Same can happen with Atletico.

agree, at the moment, Betis is looking better than Barca and Atletico, but it is a long season
nevertheless, would like to see them in CL (Betis)

there is a Basque derby on weekend, but also we are playing against Barca, maybe we can pull something good from the match, but CDR is probably focus at the moment for Valencia, since we are pure middle of the table

OTOH you can still get Celta close to 10/1 when in reality they're not that worse off in form than some of the top dogs. Past 7 games:
Atletico: 3W3L1D
Barca: 4W3D
Celta: 4W1L2D
