And hope you bet against them last night. Another Copa del Rey exit. Athletic beat us and them now, they deserve to win.

agree, they deserve to win, but nevertheless, vouch for Valencia to get cup title, it is a solid competition, as beatable
Rayo in semi-final, and Athletic is probably better rival than Betis in the final, but both teams we can play with

Getafe playing Levante tonight, it is a boring Friday once again, what are your picks for tonight?

Ho guys, I didn't even realise until now that there're Spanish cup games on, pretty good too. News article came up on my phone about this curious fact that I'd never known until now: Real Madrid have never won the treble. Copa del Rey twice in the past 28 years, so many doubles, just never a treble. Crazy or what?

Makes me feel like I need to start betting against them now in Copa del Rey or UCL.

Well the funny thing is even as a Barca fan I knew they haven't won it recently, but I didn't know they actually never won it before. Seems impossible to understand how this happens when teams like Bayern Munich do it for fun and they're not even as megastar as Real in some ways. Xavi says the treble season he played in was also his favorite ever, so I guess all Real Madrid people yearn for this.

And hope you bet against them last night. Another Copa del Rey exit. Athletic beat us and them now, they deserve to win.

Barcelona are the main favorites but... Atletico are unbeaten against Barca in the last 3 years in all competitions (3W 2D), they've displayed way better football and performances than the catalans this season
Grin
But now, both have decreased performance during this season. If we see from how they are performing so far, they are not favorites again.
However, if we see from the previous matches between the two, yeah Atletico has a bigger chance to win. But I don't think that Barcelona will lose easily. This club is currently experiencing a very big crisis, a crisis of players, confidence, mentality, game, performance, and others.
I also will take Atletico as the winner or it may be a draw.

Slava Ukraini!
nevertheless, with this 1:0 against Cadiz, and Rayo vs Mallorca in other pair our draw half, CDR final is really close for us, it would save this season
And now Athletic kicked out Real Madrid. So, now we have Athletic, Betis, Rayo and Valencia in semifinals. Looks very interesting without obvious favorite. Copa is great chance for these teams to get spot in Europa league for next season.

What you guys think about Barca incoming transfers?
Feran Torres - I think we can probably all agree he is a great signing and should slot right into the team without any acclimation period needed
Auba - Don't really see him as perfect fit for Barca, since he is only good when he has space and there is maybe few clubs in the world willing to give Barca space, but still it is a great deal financially so I'll let it slide for now
Traore - I really don't see him as Barca player, I just hope Xavi will prove me wrong somehow
Couldn't argue about Torres. Auba - few years ago it would be great signing, but now, I don't know. I'm more positive than negative about it.
Traore - I really don't know what to expect from him.

and also on BTTS cos Barcelona always scores at home and they always concede lol  Roll Eyes
That is my choice for this derby. Atletico scores and concedes much more goals this season and as you said Barca loves both to score at home pitch. Should be solid odds and very high chance of hitting them.

Can't wait for proper league games.

I think there isn't a club out there that needed this break more than Barca Smiley

I was prepared even last season for us to go without any trophies for a few years but of course it would be nice to play football freely again, and start seeing people smiling instead of frowning every game.

I liked Torres a lot even before, and finally he plays for a club I can support, my own! Aubameyeng well, weird for me to be honest, Xavi himself said he wasn't a good fit too but like you said financially a right fit and he even accepted lower wages.

Traore well... who knows, the speed is enough to change our games, and maybe he also benefits mentally from a return to "home"

Barcelona are the main favorites but... Atletico are unbeaten against Barca in the last 3 years in all competitions (3W 2D), they've displayed way better football and performances than the catalans this season (which is why one is playing in the RO16 of champions league and the other one isn't), 1W in 5 games for Barca before the international break, toxic atmosphere surrounding the club (finances, dembele drama,

i think i'm gonna throw a few bucks on the Atletico upset (or go bigger with Double Chance), and also on BTTS cos Barcelona always scores at home and they always concede lol  Roll Eyes

Yes we have a bad record in past seasons against Real and Atletico, but as I said I think all the fans just want the team to love football again, which I thought is happening despite the results. Barca is always providing entertainment though, even if it brings me to tears lol

I'm also really liking the odds which is around 2.4. I put them already on multibet, on the day itself I hope this is one of the Superboost games, should easily get 2.6 odds.

Thanks again Trofo and like you, I'm very excited about Barca game as well because it's a chance to see if some things work and some others don't. But maybe Atletico will be the one benefitting from the break even more, let's see.

Our free bet challenge is also up with above mentioned game + another classic Milan derby

yeah, I am watching Valencia, and thinking about La Liga, it is actually better football than AFCON semi-final
cannot wait for league to continue, and Barca vs Atletico is a real teaser

Time to bump the thread since leagues are coming back during the weekend. We have a few nice games, but my eyes are firmly on Barcelona - Atletico game. This one should be a good test for Barca and I am eager to see how Xavi used this break. This was his first real chance to implement some more difficult ideas.

Just read that Barca loaned Adama Traore from Wolves until end of the season. Damn we have fallen low if we need Traore to save us. He has incredible strength and speed but I am sure most of the guys in Barca youth academy have better ball control and football intelligence Smiley

Maybe Barca is eyeing up some kind of "baby oil" sponsorship deal...
Few years ago he had great season at Wolves, but now I don't know what happened to him. Maybe he started focusing on body building insterad of football too much? Now way that he is player who can save us.
Now I'm more interested how all this drama with Dembele will end.

^speaking of Leicester choking. Wasn't injury time equaliser but still, pretty late and pretty lame.

actually, I was thinking about choke against Tottenham, cannot remember, yeah they conceived late today as well, but nothing compared to mid-week match

one of worst round in La Liga, probably in the whole season, nothing good, and Granada lost as well, Valencia lose would not comment again
waiting for Barca to close the round

Didn't watched Real game, but from stats it looks Real dominated game, but Elche scored 2 goals which don't reflect game and parked a bus. BTW, coincidence or no, but Real this season dropping points only against bottom table teams, they don't have problems against direct competitors.
why did you back Valencia today my dude?  Cheesy  they always choke against Atletico, last time they beat them was eons ago... they were close to the win, but they did a Leicestah lol

btw, i was the only one who predicted the Cadiz win earlier,, it was such a rare event it seems that the superbru system still hasn't awarded me the 1.5 pts lol at least that's how it looks on my end
Yeah, Valencia really did Leicester yesterday Cheesy. Impressive comeback from Atletico. It's great round for them, considering that both Real and Sevilla dropped points, but they're still so far away.
And Superbru still didn't awarded you points for Cadiz win Cheesy.

Anyone watching Real? Came over right after Liverpool game and saw Vini had a great game as usual, keeper just too good. And then Benzema missing a penalty. All that hard work and one goal down, Elche can't possibly keep this advantage unless their keeper keeps his 1st half form.

Leicester and Valencia. Serial chokers.

~

agree

Leicester took me exact score, since I had it for 2:1, but Valencia was harder to watch, not regarding the pool, but it is really hard to watch the match when you know/think about, that your team is going to lose somehow, and when it was almost over, and almost impossible to lose (I thought, finally a good one from my team), they conceive two goals, boomer

but yeah, we were miserable in second half, should at least try to pass on their half

@slaman Totally get the need for you to catch up but yeah man, haven't you been paying attention to all the talks that come up about Valencia every now and then and how they've lost us money time and time again? Haha but what a game it was too, though, wasn't it? I still don't enjoy Spanish football as much as English or even Italian (in recent seasons anyway) and you'd have to be a cynic to enjoy Atletico's style but it's still pleasurable to watch this kind of game at some point especially after drab EPL games.

Leicester and Valencia. Serial chokers.

Nicely done on Cadiz toma, they're doing a Norwich, aren't they? You're right, on Superbru the Cadiz game is still marked "Live". And on EPL page I should have lost my lead to tumi, but it still shows me at top. Very weird!

Superbru has some problems it seems. It did not award some points for me and I can still change the result for yesterday Atalanta game, I can't save it though Smiley I guess they will sort it out during the day.

Looking forward to se how Barca will look tonight.
