I'm surprised to get the exact score on Juventus, and look at MoSala completely changing the table with that exact win as well, well done! Poor Rayo Smiley

Villareal was supposed to be La Liga representative in Conference league but because of United, they won the rights to play-off for UCL and well, imagine the gap between one win and one loss... Spurs in Conference and Villareal in UCL Last 16 vs Juventus!

Ohh so that's what happened and yes, I think people always forget that if you can't finish in Top 4, there is always a chance to go all the way in Europa, and qualify from there. It's actually a very valid option if you sense you can reserve all your strength for the competition which doesn't come so often anyway.

Elche is playing Rayo tonight, interesting match, good odds on Elche
remember when Rayo were fighting for an Europa League spot? feels like it's been ages since we last saw them playing good football... Elche are the underdogs according to the bookies, but looking at Rayo's past performances, this looks like a 50/50 game. Rayo with no wins in the last 5 games, Elche lost only once in the last 5 🤔 i predicted a Rayo win, but bet-wise i'd stay away from this match
This smells like a quite boring goals with maybe 2 goals in it. That is my prediction for the pool, 1:1, but I am staying away from it when betting, much better options in other leagues and tennis today to even consider this game.

Thinking about playing against Atletico Madrid tomorrow but I don't really believe Osasuna has what it takes to make them loose more points. Will probably end up with both to score on my ticket.

Elche is playing Rayo tonight, interesting match, good odds on Elche, having in mind that Rayo is really bad on a side (and sliding down with form as well), and Elche having a home ground winning strike
no lose mid-week for Spanish teams in Europa league, but Real did not make it in Paris, Mbappe scored with a bell

One team I wrongly picked to perform strongly after the break to be honest. Them appearing in the Copa del Rey semi was their best night in decades, and of course they can still win the return leg and force themselves into the final, but I should have paid more attention to internal issues. Had no idea fans and president were all at war, and that's been getting worse and affecting the games and team. After beating Barca, Alaves, Espanyol winter took all their form away, what a shame.

I noticed no Spanish team in Conference league, didn't keep track so didn't even realize until now. What happened there?

While we are on Barca topic, they are playing Napoli in Europa league in a couple of hours. This one could have been in CL easy. Should be a cracking match and my tip of the day for both to score. I am expecting result like 2:2 or maybe 3:2 for Barca.

I played so many bets on this and lost them all sigh. Even when I did BTTS I made it also BTTS and win.

Barca:
Over 1.5: lost.
Score both halves: lost
Win and BTTS: lost

Not to mention they ruined my weekend multibet. AND my La Liga multi but I can't blame Barca alone as Sociedad also couldn't win (but that was supposed to be easy for Leipzig).

It was supposed to be a Champions League game for sure, and it's still crazy that Sporting was in last 16 and we weren't. But at least Betis and Sevilla won their games. I noticed no Spanish team in Conference league, didn't keep track so didn't even realize until now. What happened there?

it was both-to-score in the end, but less goals

And yet the bookies are consistently backing Barca and Atletico, while Sociedad is this week's underdog in their match too -- normally you see an odds swing in the EPL (to my observation) with teams like Arsenal, Leicester and Spurs regularly matched as underdogs based on form (Foxes and Spurs 13/1 to beat Liverpool and City respectively, that is absolutely unthinkable without looking at form to me). But I have yet to see teams like Barca and Atletico get odds worse than 4/1 this entire season -- which doesn't make sense if you think about form.
Absolutely true, bookie algorithms are based on longer time frame and they are often posting odds influenced by past seasons results. I see this especially in both to score markets. You can still get much better odds on Atletico BTS then on Real BTS and I am quite sure situation is very different this season.

Just maybe 2 months agao it looked that Barca will be far from CL spot, but things changed a bit. Same can happen with Atletico.

agree, at the moment, Betis is looking better than Barca and Atletico, but it is a long season
nevertheless, would like to see them in CL (Betis)

there is a Basque derby on weekend, but also we are playing against Barca, maybe we can pull something good from the match, but CDR is probably focus at the moment for Valencia, since we are pure middle of the table

OTOH you can still get Celta close to 10/1 when in reality they're not that worse off in form than some of the top dogs. Past 7 games:
Atletico: 3W3L1D
Barca: 4W3D
Celta: 4W1L2D

agree, Atletico play tonight was really something to forget
it is good that bookies gave so small odds, and I skipped them on my betting (somehow did not expected goals from Levante, and over2.5 was to risky), anyway, Atletico seemed to be good enough for top three, but there will be fight now, could Betis see CL on Barca or Atletico expense?
Atletico looks awful now, but still, I didn't saw them losing against Levante - worst team in the league with just 1 win until now. And yeah, I went with 2.5 over - I was confident about Atleti win, but I had in mind their problems in defense, so, expected to see Levante goal.
I think that Betis capable to stay in Champions league spot. I f Atletico isn't going to improve soon, they're moving straight to Europa league spot. But I still don't write-off them yet. Yup, there we go. Atletico losing, and after all this talk about them being weirdly different, they reverted, at home, to Levante, to defensive tactics that saw them get just the one shot on goal... while forgetting to fix defence and could have been worse if Oblak didn't save so many.

Trofo how can you lower your stake when your favorite market becomes high value Wink
I know it sounds counter productive and usually I do the opposite. This time the problem was difference between what I thought the odds should be and what the bookies gave out. I expected odds around 1.6 and if they gave 1.8 I would probably place higher stake bet. But they gave over 2 odds so I thought I am missing some crucial info about the game.

Can we hear a shout out for La Liga? I don't know what possessed me to watch this match, other than that there was nothing else on telly, but this was gripping from start to finish, the away team had to fight every inch to try and snatch points from being down 0-2. Bilbao Mallorca has one hell of a Korean in their attack, but I think they actually deserved this last-gasp win. Not pretty, but very positive play.
I could not believe when I saw odds over 2 for both to score in this game, seemed too good to be true so I got scared and wagered half the stake I initially planned to wager. There is goals in La Liga this season, I am thinking At. Madrid is the culprit that brought up averages from previous seasons. There is so much more goals in their games this season, almost unbelievable transformation. I am thinking Simeone is not happy, but we are Smiley

Anyway yes, I also agree that Atletico has somehow made things very different this season, but what makes me really wonder is that, is this actually a secret play from Simeone as in, is this a very conscious transformation? I read so many interviews about him and Suarez especially after the end of last season. About their style, their mentality, etc.

We also always tell him he has to change for the future. Maybe this time he really is but pretending not to like it? Mind games.

Most interesting to see is how they take on United next week!

friendly reminder that BTTS in a Barcelona game this season is pretty much free money, just saying  Tongue

I know it's nice to see players with emotions, but this red card problem has been something since last year in fact when Messi was still around. I thought it was an anomaly but we seem to be a team that's become very easy to get cards now. We're like bottom half of discipline table now
mentality. Some players lose their heads when they're facing difficult situations during a match, sometimes it's a red card, sometimes their peformance takes a nose dive right in the middle of the game and they forget how to defend properly (see past Champions league knockout stage results). It's the manager's job to fix this asap and believe Xavi is more than capable of doing this

Anyhow, no Araujo and no Pique against Valencia next weekend, " FC Barcelona to keep a clean sheet - Yes - No " 😂

Sigh yes, I hope Xavi finds a way, and I know it's soooo many things to look at and to fix. But the sending offs have to find a way to stop, just look as you say, no important players, and others could be uncertain, who knows now maybe the bet is on Barca to keep clean sheet to get great odds lol

*seriously maybe I should go to betbuilder to check out odds Wink

not so sure about Barca, I know that it is far from real city derby, but with Barca in shaken form, Espanyol is certainly motivated to get something from this one, will be interesting for sure, odds are good, nevertheless
After all, it was real city derby. Mixed feelings about draw, maybe it's not worst what could happen, but I expected more.
Can someone explain me what Garcia was doing when de Tomas scored? Justterrible game for him. And it's sad to see that such experienced player still react to provocations - cheap red card. It was a bit unexpected to see Dembele on the pitch. And Luuk De Jong, it's popular to mock him, but so far he is doing exactly what we needed from him.

Honestly guys, I'm not sure what to think about this game.

You can talk about taking the lead and letting it go, and then getting behind in fact but coming back in the final minutes, but for me the most important is we got another red card. That's two games back to back and 3 games with sending off in 2022 already.

Yesterday's Atletico - Getafe game was incredible. Atletico defense recently is awful, but still, it was difficultto expect such result.
Recent Real results - few months ago I said that's not possible to play stable all season long and some bad period had to come sooner or later. But seems that Sevilla don't want to use gifts from Real Smiley.
