Ah I was so so close! 3 exact scores and 1 point, and if Vinicius only not scored his late goal I would have had 4 exact scores, probably my best performance this whole season in any of the leagues. So annoying:)

But good news for me to move up a little. I guess it's not necessarily all over;) Like Barca says the race isn't over haha:P

Indeed two games turns things around, Suarez's team is now having their lead shaved to a couple of points, and he's also now seen Messi catch up to him in the Pichichi race.

I stupidly bet on Barca to win but BTTS so it was so weird to be disappointed a little when Sevilla couldn't score, especially, as Trofo says, that they actually were not playing badly.

^^ Yeah, things can definitely change in 2 games, as Atletico themselves found out recently with Levante! And as Liverpool can discover many double-headers in a row losing haha.

Didn't watch any games at all today but was always checking on livescors. Nice win to enjoy, LTU, may you carry it well to Paris next month, I'll be putting some $$$ on Barca qualifying =D

Hey, why there is such silence Cheesy? Time to bump topic!
Barca achieved very important win against Sevilla 0:2 and I think it was one of the best our games this season. Before games I was sceptical about our chances today, I thought that draw will be good result. I think it was good decision to play with 3 CB today, Sevilla didn't made anything dangerous today.
We will face Sevilla next week again in the Copa del Rey and we will need to make comeback after loss 2:0 in the first leg. While Atletico will face Villarreal this round and Real will play against Real Sociedad, I think it's possible that we will see someone dropping points this weekend.
Watched most of the Barca game today and I am not sure if Barca was that good or Sevilla just run out of the steam. Sevilla was in top form and then they had a bad game against Dortmund and now against Barca. It is not that they just lost those games but they were conceding goals cheaply and in the same time they were not really dangerous in the attack. Needless to say I lost money on both games so I am probably very biased Smiley

Anyway good to see Barca getting full 3 points today and keeping the pressure on Atletico Madrid. They are now just 2 points behind them, granted Atletico still has 2 games in their sleeve but when we remember what was the difference just a couple of weeks ago...

Man, Cadiz. Shitty Sunday.

Anyway, prizes are definitely increasing in value every day so congrats to those who are in the lead. Seems even in Superbru itself a lot of people lost points from the Atletico Levante match, and that was one I was seriously considering to book a draw (which wouldn't have got any points anyway). Draw and lose, bogey team!

Thanks @toma and @slaman for the bumps, sorry for sometimes forgetting about this. Prizes were small at the start but hey hey Bitcoin price right guys?Wink

Picked a draw for Friday's games so yeah, not to keen on the outcome a 0-0 would have worked for me as well. Elche's en route to the suprise pick I made, but I also made some strong wins so let's see!

hmm, this thread has been kinda dead lately, but here goes a BUMP to the 1st page (@slaman29 won't need to bump it for this matchweek  Cheesy )

submit your picks! we have one game tonight: Real Betis - Getafe

should be a fairly entertaining match to watch, i'm expecting the home team to take the win, they've been in great form this year (lost only 1 game since the start of 2021), but most importantly, and given the nature of both teams, i'm expecting a lot of yellow cards, so here goes a few tip: Total Bookings O5.5 @1.70, good value. Getafe 4+ bookings @2.27, worth it, this team avg 4 cards per away game this season (and Betis avg 2 cards per home game, a stat to compliment the first tip).
I also expected Betis win this game. But it wasn't most exciting game. Getafe failed to score in 4 recent games, and this game wasn't exception, they played in defense most of time. Canales failed to score penalty and then also missed after goalkeeper save. But then another penalty was give and Borja Iglesias scored it. Betis leading 1:0 with few minutes remaning.

Did you check who is the referee for the match? That is the most important piece of info when I am playing under/over cards. All you said supports over perfectly but if they delegated the refree who shows one card per game your bet is down drain before the game even started. I am playing cards markets only on Premier League since I don't know enough about the refrees in Spain.

Still 3 participants missing their tips for the game today. Hurry up guys.

Loads of games coming up including Atletico rematch after drawing 1-1 last night. Don't forget your picks everyone:)

Saw/watched Suarez's recent interview after emerges that he might leave Atletico for free. Such a fire in his heart, I really miss him with every single day that passes. But anyway, 2 dropped points is better for us;)

Bombed on Valencia handicap. Seems like Real Madrid know how to keep pace even with their big man Ramos out for all season. Running up well to the Champions League it seems.

Bad week for me betting and predictions. Might as well go for draws tonight?

Real looks like a good bet for a draw today or Valencia handicap what do you think?

Fun fact: Messi is close to breaking another record - most goals scored as substitute. Did not check it but somehow I am sure that he had much less games as sub then all the other guys on top of that list. Maybe we will see Messi entering at half time few more times this season Smiley

Most people won't remember that Messi actually started many of his Barca games in his early career as a sub player. And he was a super super sub in his much younger days (I remember many moments him being understudy to Ronaldinho for example). Imagine starting at 16 for senior club, and then granted Spanish citizenship while still a teen (Barca fans actually were very angry about this, but all is forgotten now:) Love the guy.

Just watched a whole Barca game, it was due since I was neglecting them a bit this season. What a strange game of two halfs, Barca had no shots and no fouls in the first half. Then Koeman realized "no Messi no party" and made the changes which got us a much better second half. I am glad Trincao scored a beautiful winner which should help his confidence and first team chances.

Don't forget to make your picks! Alaves and Valladolid are the first games for Friday. I actually am going to start following the odds again now and maybe pick draws if the odds are too tight. Let's see if this makes a difference to my predictions scores. Or if luck again plays around with the scores. I give up on strategy:)

I'm beginning to wonder if we can exclusively keep believing that the closeness in the table is due to Real Madrid and Barcelona playing woefully, or could as well say that other smaller teams are stepping up their games ??
I agree with @Trofo, Barca and Real become more vulnerable in recent seasons and this year this thing is visible best. Barca and Real just few years ago were main favorites to win Champions league almost every season, now they aren't.
Though, these underdogs also had made big steps forward in recent years. I remember times maybe 8-10 years ago when probably half of Barca and Real games against other teams ended with scores like 4:0, 5:0 or 6:0. Now I barely can remember when we last time won with such scoreline.

Tempting to think that smaller teams are getting better but you only need to look at the table and compare it with past seasons to see that that's not really true. The difference that's key is Barca and Real's positions, and to whom they lost the points to.

Atletico aside, who are in a better position than they've been, are the ones stepping up.

Valencia are stepping way down!

I am thinking it is because Real and Barca are way worse then previous seasons. Other teams like Atletico Madrid and Sevilla don't have problems playing against those same smaller teams. I'll grant there could be a factor that smaller teams give their absolute best against Real and Barca and now they are smelling blood in the water so they are probably pushing far beyond their "usual" performances.

It will always sound better if you can say that you won against Real Madrid than Atletico Madrid no matter their positions on the table Smiley

5 from 13 of us have made their picks for this round.
i forgot to submit my pick for yesterdays match...not like it mattered tho, nobody in the pool predicted the right outcome, we all got 0 points from that match so we stay in the same position in the leaderboard Smiley

friendly reminder that Madrid are gonna miss a lot players today: Ramos, Vazquez, Nacho, Rodrygo, Carvajal and Valverde. Also, Zizou still in quarantine...anyone expecting an upset? not me, i think we're gonna win 4-1 (very likely that we'll concede a goal with Varane and Militao in the back  Roll Eyes )

I didn't expect Real Madrid to lose to Levante even at that number of players being missing as Real Madrid still played with host of high class players but still they got stunned at home by Levante.
