I think that I quit betting on La Liga this season because it's simply getting ridiculous. The walking dead teams taking points from unmotivated teams from leading group. All 3 teams from relegation zone didn't lost in this round. Elche - they started to play when it's way too late as they already relegated maybe few months ago. After draw with Sevilla it's already 3rd game in a row for them without defeat.
Getafe achieved very important win against Betis and they're still alive. But it was such ugly game, there weren't much football.
And Atletico killed me. They were leading 3:0 against Espanyol with less than 30 minutes remaining and then let Espanyol to score 3 goals in a row without response and game ended 3:3. Ant way, it doesn't improve Espanyol situation much, it's still very complicated.

Barcelona will be able to beat the unmotivated Mallorca. I hope that at least they are capable of it.

it is a bit different situation, since both teams don't have much to play for
Mallorca is mid-table, finished season while ago, and Barca is proclaimed Champion

will be interesting tomorrow, Mallorca is playing home against Valencia, and they are a bit undermotivated, while Valencia is on-fire due to almost secured position in La Liga next season, and team atmosphere under Baraja - if it wasn't for low odds (@2.4 for Valencia, that is placed under Mallorca on table, and playing away), I would certainly bet on our win

This performance from Barcelona its unnaceptable, imagine you are one of the teams who are fighting for relegation agains Valladolid, they took 3 vital points when nobody counts them, thanks to Barcelona playing more than relaxed. 3 goals conceded, its too much.

Yep. I wrote above that many will perceive this as unsportsmanlike behavior so Barcelona will win, but it seems that they do not care. Sad (and not just because it ruined my multibet). I hope that in the last home game of the season, Barcelona will be able to beat the unmotivated Mallorca. I hope that at least they are capable of it.

Ok they're champions already, but now players look like in vacations mode already. Probably it's difficult to find motivation to fight. 2 rounds remaining and I'm just waiting that season would end quicker.

not sure about that, but I am not looking at it as a good thing to lose matches in a row
and that also change dynamics in relegation fight, seems that it is better to play top teams than relegation fighters at this point

Valladolid had luck to play against Barca, and took three important points, that almost secured them to avoid relegation, and pushed Getafe down, with Espanyol, Elche is already relegated

I understand Barcelona losing, but letting in 3 goals to Valladolid is a mess. I allowed them 1 hangover game, 2 is too much and unprofessional I hope Xavi makes this very clear to his team.

But most of all well done to Valencia, but trust me I'm not betting on them next season either.

Or is that actually the most genius thing to do?

Valladolid managed to get 2-0 ahead against Barcelona in the first 20 minutes already. Despite its being only a prestige match for Barcelona it isn't a very surprising score as Valladolid are fighting to stay in the league. I wish I examined the standings more carefully before making a prediction in the pool.
This is something what I said in my previous post. Probably now it makes sense to bet against Barca, especially when they play against teams which fight for place in UEFA cups ar avoid relegation. Today it was difficult to watch how Barca is playiing. Ok they're champions already, but now players look like in vacations mode already. Probably it's difficult to find motivation to fight. 2 rounds remaining and I'm just waiting that season would end quicker.

Surprised by Real Madrid's defeat - I see that according to statistics, the score should be 2-2 maximum, but Valencia was hyper-lucky today and is finally getting rid of relegation.
Real results shouldn't be surprising - they fight for nothing for some time already and just waiting for end of season. While for Valencia every game is crucial and after this win they can get relief a bit, getting a bit far away from relegation zone.
Same can be said about Barca defeat yesterday. They were celebrating league title, while Sociedad is fighting hard for spot in Champions league. Good lesson better don't bet on teams that got league title already - Napoli and Barca is good example of it.

Yes, this rule works, but given that I have a free bet and the teams have already exhausted the number of games that can be lost and not be accused of a failure at the finish line/unsportsmanlike behavior, I will bet on the favorites in the next games.
All in all, I chose Barcelona, Real Madrid with -1 handicap, Sevilla double chance and Sociedad. Overall coefficient 9.31.

Wow, I won the yellow cap this round! Like darbit, congratulations!  Cool
I am satisfied and I think that this is a fair result for someone who guessed the defeat of Barcelona, which was not very logical.

Valencia win in last round brought us a bit upper, but we need a win over uninterested Real to secure avoiding relegation

to quote myself, but great win by Valencia, pity that ended up just 1:0, should be at least 2:0
and Real was not that uninterested, now they are in CL qualifications position, after Atletico made it to position 2

match was with high tension, and win should secure Valencia from relegation this season, it was a tough fight, but now we are five points clear, three rounds to go, easy one

You and me both, I had so many bets including Barca I just thought for sure they're at home they want to celebrate and win in style, but anyway that's something we should have expected. Almost 2x odds at home, yes, that should have been warning sign Smiley

I did also have Villareal and Sevilla on some tickets and I put Real on a new multi today, let's see if the rest can support us lol

Man,what is this nonsense from teams who have already wrapped up the title huh. First Napoli now Barca. Can't blame them but you think they want to keep the good times flowing.

Hope happens to City too as I love the bets against them. Maybe time to also go up against Barca... Or was Sociedad that good? Don't know why I thought they were good value at home.

I don't think Valladolid will be able to achieve the impossible and stay in the first division for the next season

few weeks ago looked totally different for Valladolid, but they are in losing strike and getting closer to relegation
still, Getafe is closer to getting relegated IMO
Espanyol is almost certain to get relegated, Elche is already preparing for next season there

Valencia win in last round brought us a bit upper, but we need a win over uninterested Real to secure avoiding relegation

Didn't actually realise tonight was a clash between two teams looking to put distance between relegation and survival... In my mind Cadiz was always right at the middle alongside, I don't know, Espanyol... who look in trouble. Just goes to show how out of touch I am becoming heh.

Must be pretty dull to watch tail end of the season and tuning in to the bottom scrappers.

The relegation battle can be just as intense and dramatic as the race for the top positions. In fact, for the teams involved, it's a matter of survival and can have a significant impact on their future.
Now all Cadiz needs is to achieve a single win, which will secure their stay for the next season, while Valladolid has become threatened with relegation, especially if getafe manages to win tomorrow against Elche, who are currently in last place. And let's not forget that Valladolid will have the match between Barcelona and Real.

Ah, so if I post back to back it must be 24 hours exactly? I think the problem is I maybe posted in 2 days but not 24 hours.

I will try to remember that (but honestly I only posted to update/share, not really a purpose of bumping the thread!).

Editing will not bump it though, right?

Anyway, yes, La Liga. Even I have to admit that it is the least exciting league right now. Everything won and even CL spots more or less ready and done.

Something strange happened but I also managed to get a good spot in this league finally... but I guess now I jinxed it lol

had a real trouble to find this topic, and yeah, no one wrote anything for almost ten days
We should all do better, to be honest I also try but sometimes it's just me back to back and I think the forum mods don't like that (I had posts like that deleted in the past ).
Yeah I dropped the ball a little here as well, most of my posts end up in BSFL thread since there is always somebody asking something there while we here are all experienced Superbru troopers and everything goes as it should.

Bumping threads should be allowed once per day. Meaning you can just write bump and no mod will touch it if 24 hours passed. If you just edit your post you did not bump the thread so that is one way.

Also La Liga is sort of boring this season, we knew Barca will take it for some time now and I must admit I am not very invested in La Liga relegation battle. Premier League has gotten way more attention from me this season.

Espanyol situation its really horrible, i dont want to be in their shoes right now.

Imagine your rival of the city winning the League title in your own stadium and plus you are in relegation with high chance to go down to LaLiga2.
