BTW Bouno just left Sevilla. The movement from Europe to Middle East is really picking up, what a weird transfer year it has been so far.

Today I read that Sevilla might be interesting in signing Dinamo Zagreb's goalie Livaković. There are speculations that he will leave the club before the end of this transfer deadline, but Dinamo wanted to keep him for as long as they can so he can help them qualify for the UCL. It could be a good replacement for Buono.

I dont really know what to think and what to say, both of them, because Simeone teams in the past seems to be very solid and finding again his way and ended up being not so solid and not so offensive (im talking about last 3/4 years).

But yes it seems like now they maintain a very good base, and with a little reinforcement they can be a real contender this year, for both national and champions league tournament.

It has to do with the drain his style has on mentality, you need tough players with total buy in, but their main problem is keeping the intensity for whole season. It's very tiring style, and in top leagues, even not recommended. I only think he has a chance this season because Real + Barca are weak.

This piece of information is helpful to me LOL

Honestly, I have no idea about these leagues [Serie A, La Liga etc] and the teams except I know the names of one or two big teams from the league [thanks to Champions league]. Before making my picks I actually check head to head performance, recent history [last 12 years] and some other statistics then I decide to take a side for a team or pick a draw. Although I rarely like to settle for a draw which is where I basically lose a lot of points.

For me these pools are fun. The entertainment is higher when I have a good position in the pool. For the first few rounds I think it's hard for me to do my study.

That's exactly how I'm doing my research when submitting my picks. I don't go that long i to history of h2h games. Of course it's more fun when you are posituoned higher in the pool. Maybe it will be to decide on the picks easier when few rounds go by.

Seems that Sevilla will be one of teams that I will skip when making bets. They looked so bad against Valencia in opening round, but now they played solid game against City in UEFA Super Cup. Yesh, they lost after penalties, but it don't change fact that they played well. You simply don't know what to expect from them.
In 2nd round there is not many games which sounds very exciting, probably Betis - Atletico is the most interesting one.

I haven't yet but I am hoping. It will be wired though if all these favorites win their own matches. From my gambling experience I know from these 6 selections at leas one will fail means at least one favorite will lose LOL
Oh yes, my bad, didn't paid attention to games that you made bet, just looked at odds. One of huge favorites losing their games - this is what usually happens with parlays Cheesy. Well, maybe not this time.

Yes Sevilla its a bi-polar team, they are one thing on Europe competitions and other real diferent on the domestic league, its something that nobody cant understand how they made this year after year.

And yes its a must avoid in the 90% of the scenarios.

Yes, the eternal Sevilla cycle

Sometimes I wonder how they get to Europe competitions at all considering their average performance in La Liga

We can all agree but now for me the question is can we start trusting Simeone's team again? Frankly they looked like the best of all the teams that played. Real don't look secure, Barca look frustrated.

I feel like nobody is talking much about Atletico but this seems to be an opening for them again after the magic from Suarez's winning season.

It is a short summary of my faith in teams losing hope when I see my tickets like this lol. Only green is Italy football  Roll Eyes

I watched almost entire game between Sevilla and Man City yesterday and Man City mostly had control of the game (maybe in the beginning of the second half Sevilla was better), but Sevilla looked pretty good too. I can't believe they are struggling in the national league when they almost beat Manchester City. They are playing against Deportivo Alaves who is a newcomer in La Liga. They should be an easier opponent so I'll probably go with Sevilla winning the game.

The first week of the pool wasn't spectacular for me, but since we've barely just get underway, I feel no need to worry at all.

same here
I am not even looking at placement until round 10, it is just a start, and it is better to come up in second half, then being great at start, and slide down after that

with all said, harsh first round, but Valencia win is enough to make it count as good one, without looking at Superbru score

The last two matches of the round, were actually my saving grace for the round to be honest because, I got the same number of points (4.5) as I have done in the first 8 matches, as a matter of fact, I got just 1.5 points from the first 6 games.

I'm really looking forward to doing better going forward, I watch La Liga way too much to be this awful in the pool year in, year out.

Unfortunately, I started badly in all tournaments, so I don’t compare myself with anyone yet.

I always compare, good or bad start, I think the problem is identifying what exactly was your mistake compared to others and to know if he was lucky or smart Wink

That's how I'm thinking too. I'm still getting to know other faces in these competitions so right now I'm comparing myself against Trofo and cryptofrka. While I'm better ranked against any of them, I'm happy Grin But tomorrow I'm coming home from my vacation so I'll have more time to do the research before submitting my picks.
I am actually quite bad at prediction pools like we have here. It rewards correct scores much more than ML and that is mostly luck. When betting I am betting almost exclusively on both to score and Premier League is the only one I watch regularly.

From the pools on forum this year, if I had to give my predictions, I am taking seriously only Fantasy pool and expecting that one to cover all my expenses. I will also get a couple of free bets from other pools and maybe one of the last paid positions if I get lucky in one of them.

Don't know why nobody ever mentions Saint-Loup, he is definitely the guy I paid out most from my pools, followed closely by leah. They are just quietly picking points while we talk in these pools often and take heat Smiley

Correct scores is definitely mainly luck, like when Onana didn't given penalty, 1-1 was the smart choice but 1-0 was the lucky win. I bet on ML also mainly so correct scores is not important but I do feel pools trick is to know when to go for draws.

Saint-loup took a lot last season, I don't remember if he did others?

I'm so happy that I didn't know about my freebet in Sportsbet because I would have lost it betting on Dinamo Zagreb yesterday Grin Now I have to see how will I use it. But it's nice to get one third of the fee back as a freebet Smiley

Hey guys,

Free Bets for 0.5 mBTC have been credited to your Sportsbet accounts.
@el che since you were late to join, your Free Bet will be credited next week.
Good Luck!

Thanks!

I got mine for all the Sportsbet sponsored pools, and you best believe that I did put them into good use this time around, on some Cincinnati open Tennis fixtures, at least unlike the last ATP Masters 1000 in Toronto where it was a complete bloodbath after all seeded players just kept getting bullied by unranked/unseeded players.

Received and already used it LOL. Six favorites to win their matches in the next round. Liverpool, City, Arsenal from EPL, Napoli from Italy and Real Madrid, Barcelona from Spain. All three leagues where I am focusing on are covered 😉

Well, ended up being a "good" round after all for me, with nine points and being in 4º position. Looking now for the next round.

I had bad rounds in both EPL and LaLiga. Hopefully I will be able to catch up soon.

It's strange but I always measure myself against Cro2 group, KTChampions, buwaytress, I know there are many more great players including Slissy now from BSFL but somehow these guys stick to my mind a lot as really accurate betting people.

In La Liga, I trust myself the most but I know I'm super biased with Barca, that's my main weakness. I disagree with Xavi comments about ref though. Yes we know the referees are shit, but that's not why people don't watch La Liga!

I think this is true for everyone because at some point we pay attention to certain players (who, for example, just slightly overtook us in a separate round) and then we continue to compare ourselves with them.
Unfortunately, I started badly in all tournaments, so I don’t compare myself with anyone yet.

@jeremypwr

Thank you! I will try to increase it (for a start, I made a multi-bet with odds a little more than 7).
