But tomorrow I'm coming home from my vacation so I'll have more time to do the research before submitting my picks.

I am actually quite bad at prediction pools like we have here. It rewards correct scores much more than ML and that is mostly luck. When betting I am betting almost exclusively on both to score and Premier League is the only one I watch regularly.

From the pools on forum this year, if I had to give my predictions, I am taking seriously only Fantasy pool and expecting that one to cover all my expenses. I will also get a couple of free bets from other pools and maybe one of the last paid positions if I get lucky in one of them.

Don't know why nobody ever mentions Saint-Loup, he is definitely the guy I paid out most from my pools, followed closely by leah. They are just quietly picking points while we talk in these pools often and take heat

After all upsets in the LA Liga, I have finally managed to guess correct score of the last game between Athletico Madrid and Granada. I still don't have much points, but I'm still better than Trofo and cryptofrka so I'm leased with this first round Grin

Well, ended up being a "good" round after all for me, with nine points and being in 4º position. Looking now for the next round.

Its gonna be hard to predict again if this remains the same, with so many aways wins or upset games.

Well received (and a nice surprise as I was wondering where it came from!).

Was really tempted to put in on Granada but I figured that Atletico at home surely at worst grinds out a draw (plus, I hane no idea if this is the same Granada from 2 seasons ago). 15 mins to go and it appears that way. Mid-table mediocrity it is for the time being, entebah must be pleased with being the only one to get Valencia right (casperBGD, what happened there?!).

Barcelona yesterday was a rare game, Getafe with Bordalas as Manager its not an easy one, and the red card on Rafinha doesnt help.

What I hate is new regulations of additional time, something as we saw in World Cup. 10 added minutes in 1st half and 14 in 2nd half - 24 minutes in total. When big teams havesuch intensive calendar and then they have over 20 minutes added in each game, we shouldn't be surprised if number of injuries will increase.

I should have expected it I guess, serves me fully right I lost big betting against Real Madrid, betting on Barca, whatever lol

The worst thing was not we dropped points but that we are back to our stupid bad discipline days once more. I was so sure we got rid of it finally towards end of last season but here we go gain, red card galore Barca is back Sad

Love the extra time though in reality it forces plyers to play full 90 mins unlike before

I actually don't hate it because they are adding back the number of minutes that was wasted during the course of the game and discouraging time wasting for teams, if you're calling a 90 minutes games and due to VAR checks and number of stoppages as much as much 20 minutes get's waste then was the essence of calling it a 90 minutes game, the new rule is only trying to ensure that each teams actually plays for 90 minutes and not 60-70 when the remaining 20-30 minutes are being spent on the floor, or getting involved is scuffles and other dirty antics.

If not for the fact that it would do damage to a lot dynamics about football in general, I might even suggest instead of given those large minutes which are the amount minutes wasted, they should just implement a count down time like that of NBA matches, where the count would down begin from 90 minutes and stopped in times of VAR checks and potential injuries that brings the game to a halt.

This is the worst round in any pool I've ever been, so many upsets(according to the bookies), draws and away wins. At least Real Madrid saved me from being a duck on the table and having the wooden spoon.
On the upside, the best thing about a bad start is plenty of time to recover, better to start bad than end the competition in a bad position.

What I hate is new regulations of additional time, something as we saw in World Cup. 10 added minutes in 1st half and 14 in 2nd half - 24 minutes in total. Most of us have difficult start, but I wouldn't say that we havd lot of upsets so far. Probably only Valencia win can be called as big upset. There was many 50/50 games without favorite, most of players decided to go with home team or draw and it wasn't right pick. Betis scoring late goal against Villarreal was painful for me, I had 1:1 on this game.

I'm not sure how many correct and close scores are normal but my start is pretty lousy. Out if 4sixgames I have only one close guess which earned me 1.5 points. I won't give up, that's for sure but I guess that this competition is for folks that follow football more closely than me.

It's pointless buddy. I took my time this round to make some tough choices, and after Real Madrid problems I was so sure they would get at most a draw but then maybe Bellingham was all they needed.
