It's probably safe to assume that the coaches are trying out other possible tweaks ahead of the World Cup. I know it's still way to too early for that, but it sure looks like a the best opportunity to make a few trial and errors without any consequences or backlash from the fans.

I don't think it's weird since it's still the same amount of games other countries have played within the same timeframe, just that the importance of the games are significantly different.
I have the Netherlands to win but it wouldn't be surprising if that doesn't happen, as that as been the case with me so far in this competition.

Pool is officially closed but if you really want to join I will alow it and give you the points of the last person on leaderboard at the moment. That way nobody who is currently in the pool can complain. Since that points are added manually in my head you are automatically loosing any tie breakers if you make it into the prizes.

Not much of a deal, but best one I can offer without damaging other participants chances for prizes in unfair way.

I think Trofo can let you win but you are 22.5 points behind the leader of the standing,sure Superbru can give you a couple of default picks (although I am not sure about this) so you have a mountain to climb.If you are looking though to just get a place in the top five that is doable I believe as long as Superbru provides you some default picks which give you 1 point each.The 5th place is just at 12.5 points so there are a lot of other games to be played and you can have a chance to get a prize but your chances are slim.If you still want in I am sure Trofo will have no objections about this but he can give you the final answer.

In today's games of group B of Nations League, I bet on the victory of the hosts. Ukraine has played two tough matches in the qualifying round for the World Cup in recent days, so they will surely feel tired. After losing to Wales, the team's morale has certainly suffered as well. That is why I am betting on the victory of Ireland. Scotland should win against Armenia.

Yeah, I'm very cheerful about predicting two exact scores on the same day again.

Normally it is really hard to predict the exact results of these games but my luck is also still helping me. I just try to make my prediction according to what I feel. I had a big difficulty in doing it for the Germany - England game actually because I thought of the possibility of Germany's win here too. But thankfully I chose a 1-1 draw for it. As for the Italy - Hungary game, many people thought of Italy to win by not conceding any goal. I was also afraid of it but Hungary managed to score and it ended exactly the same as I predicted. The match between Germany and England was pretty entertaining to watch as both teams were able to create a number of good chances to score. I have to say that i was surprised that Germany was able to control the pace of the game for the most part yesterday, because England should have more confidence after their strong performance in the Euro last year, but they pretty much just waited for mistakes of the german team to then initiate a quick counter attack too. This is also a valid strategy of course but i think that England has so many strong players that they could easily try to control a game too.
In the end i think the draw was ok for both teams. The penalty was very unlucky for Germany as it was basically just an accident and not an intended tackle or something but in the end he touched Kane and therefore it was a penalty.

Damn that penalty removed me of a close result for the Germany game which I had predicted 2-0 a win for Germany.I also got an exact result from the Italy game so not that a bad day overall for me and in the last two days I got two correct scores which brought me back in the top 10 not far away from that 5th place,the last of a prize.I checked the schedule and unfortunately the games were not up to 23 June as I thought,they finish much early at 14 June the last games of this first big round of the Nations League and then we will be back on September.

Still happy that I got a close score, although Italy scoring the own goal shouldn't have happened, otherwise 3 exact for me, but I would have preferred to see 3-1 so at least more people would get close than a few exacts, otherwise the fight for me is over lol

Muller should have won it 2-1 for Germany but seriously, England, where are all your attacking firepower? At least EURO they could score from open play right?

Not related to this thread perhaps but related to the whole fiasco of Nations League and internationals, I just got f'd up by Qatar Air moving flights in summer. They say it's an airport issue but I bet you it's the whole World Cup prep thing. So now instead of a 22 hour flight with one layover I have a fantastic 48+ hr hopping time across the Asian continent. Compensation? Nada. Considered refund and rebook but flights are 60% up since I last booked. And not getting cheaper.

If anyone doesn't need to fly this summer/winter. Don't. Cost to fly return to my nook of the world is over 200% costlier than in 2020. I blame Covid yes, but also World Cup as I idiotically took the route that goes past there.

I know exactly what you mean about pride, some inane desire to prove to myself I can get one big win out of this. It's not like I've got anyone to prove myself to either. I don't think it's my worst streak (that's many years ago getting to know Liverpool heh) but it's certainly one of my most humiliating performances this season overall in recent years, now just carrying over to post-season.

I'll take your BTTS and pair it with a double chance Hungary.

It's so funny how my morale for the tournament have dropped drastically over just few matches into the competition, it's almost as though the players aren't even interested in these games and would rather have their summer somewhat free and perhaps camping for club friendlies in some nice cities, because I don't want to imagine the results would have been the same if it were to be a world cup that's going on. Going for an upset in the pool is just harder when you can't decide if you should go for a draw or the favorite to lose, the draw would seem more probable, but you get to drop points against almost all other participant of the pool if the favorite should win.

Yes the prizes are quite good and everybody so far has a chance to fight up to the third place without problems,we will have daily games like 2 of them everyday,it looks like ILuckyGuy is moving away but there are a lot of games still so we are still early in the pool and as I said everybody so far has equal chances to fight for that third place (in theory also for the first one but that one looks like far away).

I like the democracy like you said but I never ever post in a pool thread which is made for a certain event,for example at your pools Trofo like Serie A,La Liga and I don't remember how many you have but I never post there at all,this should be the case with everybody else.Everyone insider or outsider should respect the rules of the pool.
