I would bet that all English teams will pass the group and even Newcastle without Cristiano and without any buy in player to improve the team. The reason I believe so is that the motivation of teams like Manchester United,Arsenal and Newcastle will be at the highest level and honestly I don't know any league who is able to compete with English teams except maybe the Spanish one,so England is the strongest league in Europe and mostly also in the world and it is only natural for me to expect a full qualification of all of the teams from Premier League.

I agree is not the same without Liverpool but still the teams will qualify out of the group stages.

United seem to be very bad at dealing with ANY Spanish team, I mean losing cup to Villareal and getting KO by Sevilla. Not Sevilla of last few seasons but Sevilla of this season.

Liverpool bogey is Real Madrid. But also Atletico 50/50.

But don't forget Italian clubs also do well against English, Liverpool must remember Ancelotti and Milan, but also recently Napoli.

I would bet on at least 1 team dropping to Europa, maybe it is a BSFL question one round later Wink

Brighton vs Man City tonight.

Obviously Man City have their eyes on the two cup finals they’re in now. They may rest players in this game tonight, the thing is their squad is so good that the quality doesn’t really drop that much when they make changes.

Brighton are doing really well this season so we’ll see how they do against top class opposition tonight. They already showed they can do well against the big teams this season.

I still thought Manchester City would win here. Especially their continuing to win by the match against Chelsea made me think like they would maintain the win streak. It was a good thinking of you that Guardiola might rotate the usual lineup to rest the players and get ahead of possible serious injuries as well.

But we still saw many starting eleven players as of the first minute. Still Brighton put up a really good fight against them. The people who predicted the exact same score or a draw with a different score aren't many in number so this round must be very satisfying for them.  Grin

Back to semi-reality, though, Chelsea themselves are worth a huge, huge 5/1+. This isn't City they're facing. Easiest bet for me to take (haha) so one with boost is done as well.
I am going to back up Utd. Home team advantage but this could be a draw too.

In the City match, before few hours of kick off I was thinking to change it from 1 - 3 for City to a 1 - 1 draw, did so and it was a great decision at the end. Not an easy one especially when a team is facing City but Brighton had motivation to prove themselves again where for City it was just a match but get nothing from it.

It's not a good day overall for me though, lost over $240 in gambling LOL. I guess I need another long break. 🤣

it does seem as value to have Chelsea @5+ against United
maybe I would get same bet as well

but, Everton is main worry on Sunday, we need to stay in Premier, should be a doable task, odds are low on our win, Leicester has easier task from Leeds, but both have tougher task than Everton, and need Everton to blew to have their winning matter at all
not sure about Bournemouth motivation on Sunday, but it is a Premier league, there is no easy fixture

So here's my final fantasy bet of the EPL season. The only way Liverpool pip United is if they win their final game, and United somehow lose both theirs. London stands in their way but they host both at Old Trafford, so while the outcome's unlike, that's worth at least a tenner, don't you think?

Even without your wishes, this Newcastle team will not make it past the group stage of the CL unless they make some big move in the summer with some oil money. shame Manchester City, Arsenal, Man utd, and Newcastle United will be representing EPL in the CL next season it would be the weakest representation ever without Liverpool and Chelsea since we know only City will make it out of the group stage, the other three will be heading to the Europa league as usual.

I would bet that Newcastle will not make it with their present squad; the CL isn't about a bunch of motivated youngsters it's about experience, which Newcastle lacks; apart from Trippier, who else in the club has CL experience? It would be difficult without making a significant step, believe me.

Man United and Arsenal have been struggling with Europa League teams for several years now, and I doubt either will make it but I'm not ruling them out completely.

I like the way you cut out the last English team to win the CL though. Chelsea

So it is confirmed after 20 years I guess that Newcastle are in Champions League.

As an annoyed, jealous and totally bitter Liverpool fan, I hope they get grouped Wink
I hope they get the group of death and go out in the group stage.

In the pool darbit is only 0.5 points behind mitchr4. Should be a real battle to be sportsbet.io sponsored English Premier League Football Pool Champion 2022/23.

I believe so,and if they get an additional great boost like Cristiano Ronaldo to play with them as there is a clause in Cristiano contract or at least there are a lot of rumors that point to this that he,Cristiano can play with Newcastle next season as long as they will be taking part in the Champions League, which honestly seems highly likely right now.

Oh no! rather not see this happen please, Ronaldo is not exciting for me in CL anymore Tongue I won't complain, I just think he is just not exciting to watch and the way the team transforms for him, it's terrible.

So it is confirmed after 20 years I guess that Newcastle are in Champions League.

Lol even better they get the easiest group and still go out.

Good luck to both those guys, I was out a long time ago of this pool!

Did you watch that Newcastle game? I did not but I watched highlights and checked stats and it seems to me Newcastle played a good game. They were flawless in the defense and did not allow a single chance or shot on goal to Leicester while still doing something in the attack. Furthermore they knew that point is enough.

No I didn't but it's the stats that made me say that. 1 goal from 20 shots... and then they almost let in a goal from 1 shot from the opponent. That's how Liverpool lost Champions League (and usually how Barca loses their games AND how we got kicked out of Champions League).

And as good as Newcastle is, they haven't got the attack as good as Liverpool and Barca (yet).

At the beginning of the season I read on a couple of news websites that Newcastle might transfer C. Ronaldo if they qualify for the Champions League. Is there any probability for this to happen?

The competition for first place between mitch4 and darbit  is really breathtaking. There are only 12 matches left for the season to be completed. When we think that there is a serious difference between the prizes for 1st and 2nd places these fellas need to be very careful.

So far Newcastle owners were very prudent with their transfer decisions. They did not buy much and all their major transfers were young players destined for future impact. I am thinking they will continue to build squad over the years rather than splash some money for quick fix and some marketing.

Well it seems to me they were testing all those transfer before going out with major transfer which somehow works out even better in their favour. If they actually want to get to top 4 UCL or something, they might even need some major transfer in the summer though but yeah this kind of approach works better for them

Their problem is that everyone knows how much money they have and as soon they show interest price doubles.

When the arabian money is involved, everything is pretty expensive suddenly

I think and believe that this team is better than the old one that last went to that stage, but if you struggle against teams like Leicester, I wonder what happens when you meet Real Madrids and Napolis of CL lol

Yeah im also waiting to see what players are gonna be in the Newcastle team next year, i hope Cristiano comes back to Premier and UCL, and lets see who other can be in Newcastle, maybe Neymar but i dont know.

The main issue can be the opinion of Eddie Howe, i dont see him liking that kind of players, but you know money command.

I am sure this time we didn't see the same Champions as if Ronaldo played there and Messi also disappointed so seeing Cristiano with an English team playing in the Champions League is the best football fans can hope for and I am sure with Cristiano on board Newcastle would have not struggled at all to score a goal from those 24 shots they made yesterday.

What a strange result and game, Newcasstle deserve the victory, Leicester parked the bus in the whole game, but have one last opportunitty saved by Pope.

Now for the last round, we have quite a difficult scenario in relegation, for me Leeds its practically on championship, Everton have 1 foot on premier but the main problem its if they draw and Leicester wins they have worst goal diference, so they need to go for the victory to secure their spot.

Leicester had that one shot at 90+4, but Pope was on the place, was a bit afraid, since he was there doing nothing for whole 90 minutes
they are fighting to avoid relegation, and had 20% possession and no shot in 90 minutes

last round is there, and Everton needs a win over Bournemouth to stay in Premier now, Leicester could stay with a win over West Ham, if Everton does not win, while Leeds needs Everton to lose and Leicester not to win, for their win over Tottenham to make sense and they stay in Premier, will be an interesting afternoon for sure

It was Newcastle that was an erratic team in attack, they shot more than 23 times but they could not translate those attacks in goals, probably they were tired and with just that point they have a strong foundation to be sure to be in Champions League spot for the remaining game that they have to play.Leicester I did not understand what they were trying to do as 1 point does not do them any good so they should have gone all out in attack yesterday and try to get goals scored because if they got the three points they would be in a much more comfortable position for the last game and to have better chances to be safe from relegation, now I believe this not to be possible.

Good to see Necastle again in UCL i want to see what players they buy for next season , and one last thing, hat off to Eddie Howe really good manager.

Once upon a time, Leicester City fought for the top 4 while Newcastle United fought for relegation; today, Newcastle will participate in the Champions League next season while Leicester City will be fighting for relegation. I've said it before: the success of any football club is dependent on their sugar daddy. Leicester City does not have sufficient funding to stay in the Premier League at this time.

It would be incredible to see Neymar and Hazard join Newcastle next season.

The relegation battle will go on until the bitter end, and I'm betting on Everton to stay up.
