I like that added time and especially giving the cards for complaints. This way there isn't that much time wasting and those guys that always complain should get used to beeing booked all the time. Yes, games are longer but we also have 5 subs which should help with fatigue.

Couldn't agree more. Jota got a yellow for asking the ref to give a yellow -- also one of the many new rules in place. I like that, as I've always been annoyed by players telling the ref how to do his job.

Fair. Bruno is gonna pack a lot of yellow card this season for always crying and teaching refs their job.

How was that not a Pen? Wolves robbed!!!

I'm still open to some of these (Haaland under 33,5 still available after yesterday):
Let me know your odd?
Last season he scored 36 goals. If he don't catch an injury then his possibility for over 33.5 is higher even he can score more than 36 goals too.

Equal odds - I say he'll go under 33,5 in the league.

I'm in. After the game yesterday I think Haaland can do this. The losing side pays the Premier League pool entry fee next season. Deal?

Sorry - missed this. Yup, it's a deal. Add it to the spreadsheet?

^ They really have appeared to be satisfied for the past few seasons to leave it at that... if Salah's goal had stood things might have been different. Rotten week, but that always happens to me when there are many draws, so I hope United lose tonight (I'll lose points but at least everyone else almost also will).

It helps a lot with time wastage as the average time the ball was in play for EPL games last season was about 50-60 minutes (approximately), which in my opinion called for a drastic measure which the FA delivered on.
How I expect it should work is over the course of the season when clubs realize they do not get let off for wasting time we get more fluid games with minimal stoppage except for injuries. This will naturally bring down the minutes added on averagely.

I like it too, football's been sliding into all kinds of shithousery lately it's time to rein it in. It'll hurt now but after a while, people will adapt, or keep paying the price.

Can't believe my performance and kudos to whoever predicted the big draws yesterday, Chelsea and Liverpool have a draw history I should have chosen for that option but somehow I thought Salah would shine and VAR stopped that from happening lol

Is it strange they had only 5 mins extra time though? Both teams probably settled Wink

We still don't know who is colorpoll!!

Oh and I see Direwolf below, ditched BSFL for EPL? Smiley

Don't know what is @Colorpoll54 name on Bitcointalk, but he simply delivering on 1st round - so far he got right outcomes of all 9 games so far, including 4 exact scores. He have great chance to get right predictions of all 10 games, it happens very rarely in EPL.

OK, so today, just watched my first game -- and I guess we're all going to have to get used to all that extra time. 10+ minutes for the first half unheard of, but personally, I think it's great if it reduces time-wasting and simulation. I would prefer if teams who did it were punished by refs to give that extra time only if the opponent needs it (and if the team guilty is losing, they blow regular).

It seems excessive at the moment. 20+ mins per game mean almost 15 extra "matches" over the season!
I expressed my opinion in other thread and I don't really like new regulations. I understand that this is how things should be handled with wasted time, but it makes games a bit too long for me. As you said, with 20 minutes added per game, clubs will get quite a lot ''full games'' in whole season. I doubt they're happy about it when they already have such intensive calendar. I think that risk of injuries can increase too.

I had a nice round and thought I have a chance for yellow cap but than I saw the monster result Colorpoli made.

I saw that 21 points too. That is massive points for a single round with ten games and the beauty of it is that it is not over yet.Maybe he has played a lot of draws and if this is his playing style overall he will lose points and positions  Grin.He got a lot of points yesterday so most probably he had played the draws in those games of yesterday which few people predicted seeing how the ranking updated from Saturday to yesterday. It is just the first week though but yeah that guy set a new record for 10 games weeks even if he does not get any point in tonight game.

Not the best matchday for me but that is expected through out the course of the season.

I got exactly 0 points today as I had a Liverpool win and Tottenham win. While for the Tottenham draw is not something to be surprised, the fact that Liverpool drew against Chelsea is not also a big surprise, the real surprise was the complete dominance of the game from Chelsea where we could see the hand of Pochettino in action and based on that I can say that this Chelsea can go a long way this season.I am pretty confident that they will be playing in Europe next season be it in Champions League or a bare minimum in the Europa Conference League.

First week I was third yesterday night,if I check the result now I should be several position down nevertheless I am happy with my overall results so far.

First round are always a coin in the air, no matter how much we know or research, the teams are already searching for his best.

The main thing to do its to not have a really bad start in the first 5 rounds so you can star to follow the leaders, after that you can start to know some tendencies.

well, that is a fan side, picked all good outcomes, one exact score, but missed on my Everton, we lost opener at home
wasn't bad from our side, we had the ball rolling, but one can't score without forward, and somehow Everton management failed to comprehend that

and JP1 didn't do his job as good as usual, so Fulham is taking all points home
should put this behind, and focus on better side, and that is that play was solid

I weirdly missed out on the easiest correct score of the week in Manchester City vs Burnley and got two of the relatively more difficult ones.
Newcastle were on fire in their fixture tonight and really showed that they are ready for the season against not so easy opponents to face in Villa.

The highlight of the matchweek so far has to be the worldie of an assist by Gabriel Martinelli to set up Nketiah.
It is almost like football never left.

I had 0 - 3 for City yesterday but few hours before the kick off I changed it to 0 - 2 LOL. Lost an easy 1.5 points.
I also have same problem first I was thinking that Manchester City is going to win this match by 0 - 3 but as I was going to click on superbru I change this from 0 - 3 to 0 - 4 bad decision from myself hurt me badly right now.

Well i made a first result 0-2 and was thinking City was gonna destroy them so i up’ed it to 0-3 so for me a perfect start so far with a perfect result. Hopefully now Arsenal starts scoring ,they are putting presure on them really hard but Nothinghem Forrest parked the bus.
Who is Colorpoll54? Unknown username to me. Whoever he is, it seems his chances to win the yellow cap is high. LTU_btc is doing well in both PL and La Liga pool. It seems your lucky week LOL. I am not even in the list yet. So far 5.5, may be one more today which will make 6.5. Not a good start of course.

Castle are on fire. 5 - 1 and few minutes left.
Luton's start was below average.

That late late goal of Ferguson for Brighton destroyed me on BSFL competition and also destroy my exact pick here.

Always are very difficult the first games of the season, because we dont have so much info about how well or bad the teams play, and also we dont know who its gonna be a failure or a surprise.

This is great - I placed a side bet with Harkorede, so I think that's the only thing missing from the spreadsheet, and certainly you can lock the spreadsheet once you've input all of the season's side bet details? send you with details about the other side bets shortly.

It would absolutely be very good. I can add the missing side bets into the table if you write them under this topic by tagging me.

It feels so so weird to be supporting Arsenal to score even more goals now but that's what happens with BSFL lol (where I picked Arsenal to win by the biggest margin).

Now just need to score 1 more goal and of course not concede so I can ear 1 point but even better to be 4-0 or more so all those who picked City don't get points!!
