Arsenal defeated City through penalties, and I hope they continue performing well throughout the upcoming season, aiming to top the league table and even win the title. Arteta must deliver his best this season, chasing the top teams and rectifying the mistakes that cost them the title last season when they were leading for a long period.

This is a great start from Arsenal, the fact that City has not been able to win against Arsenal in the regular time shows that Arsenal has improved a huge chunk compared to the last season where City won every game they played at home against Arsenal.

I think this time Arteta if wants to win the league should start taking seriously every single game even against last team in the standings as we saw what happened last time with Southampton where they were losing 1-3 at home and only managed to get a 3-3 draw as a result, despite doing so they need to improve themselves like they did tonight when playing against strong teams.

I'm glad that City lost, but I expect the main result in a different - maybe this game will somehow affect the bookmakers' assessment and the odds for the next title for City will increase. As I wrote, the current odds seem like easy money to me, but if these odds become even more profitable, then I will not be able to resist and make a bet.

I would say that a couple of seasons in order to return to the race for the title, but there are no guarantees of obtaining. I don't follow them much, they look like a dark horse right now - why don't they surprise everyone?

Well they cant and isnt it still too early to even consider them as dark horse ? I mean the league hasnt start yet and even if it does, I dont think Chelsea will instantly shock us by winning their first game against Liverpool because  I still think Liverpool is way better than Chelsea

The only dark horse that I'd even consider is probably Newcastle, this team got the potential to win the league but City is obviously still going to be the biggest obstacle

At the moment, bookmakers see contenders for the title like this:

Manchester City 1.73

Arsenal 6.00

Liverpool 9.00

Manchester United 12.00

Chelsea 13.00

Newcastle United 15.00

Tottenham Hotspur 41.00

If you take away City and Tottenham, then all teams have about the same chances (I think Arsenal's quotes are just a tribute to the previous season).
Quotes for the game Chelsea - Liverpool are as follows:

2.92 - 3.45 - 2.42

As you can see, there is no clear favorite here, and if Chelsea suddenly starts the season with a win, it will not be a surprise.
In general, I believe that if, for some reason, City collapses, then Chelsea, along with the rest of the teams, will have a chance at the title.

I also had a heavy lost amount in Sweet Bonanza which I am not that well recovered yet but the funny thing with these providers is the same,as soon as you raise the bet, money gone in an instant.

I stopped playing slots long time now, not that I play much, and still I do a lot of roulette and BJ but mainly dice. Since 2 or 3 years joining pools however I finf myself betting more on Sports, and in fact I learn a lot from the regulars and follow theur styles, it seems to be more value... less money wagered but much more fun and value Smiley

I see Spurs fans very quiet, Son is confirmed with them still, maybe even Kane, but new manager might be surprise?

City is miles ahead of the rest of the league. Nobody has a bench as long as City and that fact alone is enough to make them favorites in the second part of the season when titles are up for grabs. City always struggles a bit in first part of the season due to those rotations but it all pays off later on when injury and fatigue kicks in for other clubs and they are as fresh as possible.

Gvardiol singing could be big for them, maybe I am biased since he is fellow Croatian, but he is perfect defender for City and Guardiola. Really looking forward to see how he will adapt to life in City and PL in general.

I dont know if Chelsea can win the title. Last season they were really bad ,they got some amazing players but just cannot put them togheter. I dont know if they be able to put them all togheter . Also a new coach will have a lot of work to do and i think they didnt buy the right players. It will take 1-2 season so they can reach the top.

They have a serious plus in that they do not play in European competitions and can plan the whole season taking into account one main competition.

Allowing players to leave before finding replacements is what really irritated me about Chelsea's transfer, as is Liverpool's. You'll always be in trouble if you have to replace more than four players in one summer. Manchester City sign 2-3 players per summer, whilst Liverpool and Chelsea build a new team every 2-3 seasons. There is no progressive plan.
Where do you see Chelsea finishing this season? Just checking to see to hit you for another side bet since you usually have very strong opinions one way or another  Grin

By the way, I read one interesting stat on twitter this morning. Last 3 times Burnley won promotion to Premier League, Chelsea won the trophy. Don't know if it is true but probably it is since there were years and stats quoted as well. Not really very important stat, but could be used as hopium for Chelsea fans.

This off season i dont follow so much what was happening on the market and with the teams, i dont see any friendly (because for me are shit games) so, this week i started to learn something more about the teams for this season.

The main thing was seeing Ange Postecoglou as Totenham new manager, we all know the fame spurs have, but i think he can make them play again vey offensive, so maybe it can be really fun to watch the games from Totenham this season.

No idea what you were referring to swogerino but I believe we also had late payments before should be no problem for known old players like you Smiley

Yeah thank you first for the kind words.I was exchanging my ZIL to Bitcoin in order to make the money and I have made an error,I needed a bit more time to exchange them because they were recently unstaked from the wallet I hold them.So rather than rushing I will be paying before just the start of the tournament on August 9-10 max as I said.

I also had a heavy lost amount in Sweet Bonanza which I am not that well recovered yet but the funny thing with these providers is the same,as soon as you raise the bet, money gone in an instant.

Just got the invite from hilarious and joined, I chose Luton Town as my team since I don't really support anyone in EPL (but you can say I'm a bit anti Man City).
You could chose Liverpool. All anti City fans are welcome in Liverpool. 😉

I think you guys have enough fans here in this pool. I definitely like how you guys play, never boring and building superstars from normal talents but I might support someone else who doesn't have enough fans like Luton lol

I wanted to pay today for the pool despite having lost a lot of money on Sweet Bonanza yesterday and finally I got my staked ZIL-s out today but when I try to convert them to Bitcoin to pay as you can see in the picture it takes from today morning until now in the evening they are stuck in waiting confirmation. So I write to support and if I get the money I pay but most likely I am paying as soon as I get my next signature round which is 9 August as my max pay date for the pool.

The problem is that side bets are good for people as no one is guaranteed to end in a winning positions and side bets are easy to make and win.
Someone who have good knowledge about clubs and their activities in the management can make good money from side bets. There are always people to disagree and if you are in the right side then you win it. Two seasons ago, I think I lost two side bets. I decided not to argue with some of these guys anymore LOL

You can't compare Fabiaho to Lavia, who is only 19 years old. He may lack experience, but the kid is danm amazing, and Chelsea were after him last season and our £50m wasn't enough to get him. He may not be what they need, but trust me on this. Southampton products to Liverpool never disappoint. Mane, VVD and the rest.....

Southampton is Liverpool playground. Another Dortmund and Bayern combo.

Fabinho was a beast for 4 seasons, sadly his legs are gone now so I don’t mind him moving on. I do really want us to sign Lavia, our owners are so cheap though. I have no trust in them at all to close this deal. They always let Klopp down and don’t back him enough in the transfer market.

Fabinho left, Lavia seems like the chosen replacement for us. Not really sure I like this to be honest.

Liverpool submitted a new £42m bid for Lavia but Southampton still insist on £50m or no deal for someone they got for £12m last season. It's understand that Liverpool new bid will be rejected. Crazy days ahead

I would still pick Fabinho over Lavia, honestly...  Some of the players Liverpool let go were due to leave honestly, but I don't consider Lavia for Fabinho an upgrade to the team by any criteria whatsoever if you ask me. But the relationship between Liverpool and Southampton is just what it is, sometimes get more value than they pay for but other times it's the contrast opposite, so I'd say they are just paying back for the good deals they've from the Saints in the past.

Your team must improve their defence. You just blew a two-goal lead against Bayern, and I believe Liverpool needs Caicedo more than we do. Depending on Matip and Van Djik would be a major issue for the squad next season. Van Djik is already in over his head. Only Lavia can fixed that

Yep, I agree. But the problem with the defence for me is also in the quality of our CB-s.
Van Dijk hasn't played well in ages, Konate is pure, utter shit, Matip is past it and Gomez is a Premier League player only because he's English. We really need a quality CB - and then we also need a good season from our new captain.

If VVD keeps his current form and is paired with either Konate or Matip, we'll be conceding like crazy even if we put Makelele from his prime years in front of them.

VVD was a shambles last season and he'll still walk into the starting eleven without a fight. I believe this is where Manchester City stands out from the other; with VVD out of form, he shouldn't be starting games, but that's never going to happen. Matip is old and slow, he needs a backup, Konate was fantastic last season, he has what it takes to be a world class player, he's long been VVD's replacement, but we may not see the best of him at Liverpool if he doesn't get much needed games time to build confidence. At best, Gomez is a British Tax.

Alexander assistant captain? Why not Salah.
