When Liverpool were a goal down, I was confident that they will come back. Tried $50 on double chance and what a waste! The odd for them to qualify in CL next round should go back to 1/30 or even more. One match you humiliate one of the top team and in the next match you help a team who were waiting for relegation LOL

By the way, what was the odds for double chance? Basically it was the right choice, probably if I was online I would have made a live bet on Liverpool to win after Bournemouth took the lead. If Salah had not missed from the penalty spot, then Liverpool would have been able to put the squeeze on Bournemouth.
Too lazy to look for the bet slip but it was something 1.56 when I get it.

In general, I liked the joke about the fact that Liverpool gave points to Bournemouth in order for Everton to relegated from Premier League  Grin
We are becoming generous lately LOL

By the way, the pool is not working for me right now. I can not remember when I had an exact score in both EPL and UCL pool. Not happening from last few weeks. Is there any black magic of something LOL.

Considering the rank on UCL pool, if I could manage to get some exact scores then I could have a better position than now.

Well some really surprising results we have this round.

First Liverpool can not win against Bournemouth, one thing call my attetion after the game, i see Livepool odds to win was 1.4, really high thinking about Liverpool comes with a 7-0 agains Man utd and Bournemouth its a relegation team, so my question its, what thing the bookies know ?.

And today the Man Utd.... EASY match against Southampton, i know the red card change all the game so early, but still a surprise.

The red card should not be used as a justification for not winning against last place.Southampton was much more motivated to get the single point as the fight in the end of the table is vivid than ever, different teams are only being divided by little amount of points and every point is precious.I don't think Southampton will be able to not be relegated as how things are it looks difficult for them but this was one such week of the Premier League where surprises have happened in a big matter,I was afraid for a Arsenal draw and didn't think that Manchester United would not be able to win against Southampton.

In the pool at least I got a correct score for West Ham after so many weeks after not being able to do so.

So I kept thinking Casemiro would get a red soon after he finished his suspension... and then forgot all about it after he didn't even look close to getting it at the Liverpool game. Then he goes and does this to a relegation team...

Missed opportunity, as usual, I need to keep track of my "martingales" better.

JWP hit the wall from the resulting freekick. I'm sitting straight each time it comes as I took a special on him scoring from a FK, but I feel like United still going to take this game.

I did not want to comment LFC yesterday - I was too furious. I'm really having trouble understanding us this season.

Bournemouth conceded 50!! goals in 25 games. FIFTY. How is it possible that a team chasing CL spots fails to create anything against such a team for a majority of the game?
Yes, it would have been easier if Salah scored that penalty - but we absolutely needed to create a lot more than we did.

Our schedule looks horrible now - and this defeat makes it mandatory that we win a few of the upcoming games.

I don't want to add more to your rage but when I saw the penalty from the slow motion it looked like Salah intentionally lost it,he got and wanted to score in the upside triangle to make it look like an awesome goal but that failed miserably.Of course Bournemouth could have won even with more than one goal as they missed one opportunity practically with an empty goal and they put it out.Liverpool I agree should have created more but I believe it was because of the Bournemouth goalkeeper who funny enough yesterday was in a great performance, yes the same goalkeeper who conceded 50 goals in 25 games.

Brother, it’s really quite upsetting isn’t it. I just don’t understand it. I put it down to an attitude problem, an effort & lack of desire issue. Van Dijk barely puts in a tackle these days, he either doesn’t trust his body after the injury or he just cba.

There aren’t many players who have can have any self respect this season, maybe Alisson, Robbo, Konate, Bajcetic, Nunez, Gakpo, Salah. We need wholesale changes & I just don’t know if FSG will give Klopp the money to do it.

Let’s write the season off and hope we make good signings in the summer.

Time to put Fulham vs Arsenal on and watch a young, hungry team who are desperate to win trophies.

Seems like Liverpool will spread their goals very badly this season. They have very nice numbers in goals scored and goal difference categories but when you remove games against United and Bournemouth (the one that they won in first half of the season, not this one) you get stats for a team in the bottom half of the table.

saw it on Twittter - "God gave Liverpool seven goals in March 2023, and they simply decided to use it all against United"
yeah, 16 goals in two matches and 31 in rest 24 matches, not that great distribution, but Liverpool is still in CL chance position

but this season, relegation fight is getting to be really interesting, there is no Norwich or similar "secure" pick for relegation, it is almost impossible to pick three at this moment

I understand the joke about Liverpool preferring to see their Merseyside rival relegated to the championship, but this isn't the kind of performance they'd rather have going into dire situation against Real Madrid, this performance isn't going to do their level of confidence any good, but maybe it could also help Real Madrid get cocky and underestimate, I however, I doubt it's going to be a case of both.

Anyways, I really still don't understand why Klopp is sticking to his obsolete 4-3-3 formation, when it's clearly evident that their midfield is lacking the level creativity it needs/deserves and is their biggest weak link, a 4-2-3-1 or 3-2-2-3 might help dominate play more in the midfield area which is the only major problem Liverpool seem to have in my sincere opinion, so many time you find Van Dijk being somewhat the defensive midfield or CM, which usually ends up getting Liverpool by just on long ball and you find Konate struggling in those 4 on 2 counterattack scenarios with Arnold being the next closest defender on the pitch.

It is very different type of match, Liverpool obviously performs better when they have the space to play and have troubles breaking down teams that park the buss. There is also a motivation factor which is trough the roof against United at home while it is much tougher to feel same way when playing away to Bournemouth.

Typical Liverpool (this season) to beat Man Utd 7-0 and then go lose to bottom of the table Bournemouth, embarrassing. We have now lost to Brentford, Bournemouth, Leeds, Wolves, Nottingham Forest. We have lost 8 PL games this season and it’s only mid March. This is the worst season for us I can remember in a long time.

I guess everyone was in the same boat when they picked for the pool except for Ibuprofen that picked a draw. Normally some people would have chosen Brentford to win or something on the previous rounds but yeah after the 7-0 against United, I think everyone was in the same understanding that Liverpool is back and there is no way that they are losing to Brentford but it sucks when it actually happened.

It is true that we all expected Liverpool to win, but Bournemouth managed to break our bones. I'm really thinking now. Will Liverpool be able to remontada back against Real, who won today 3-1?
I had a very bad start this round with only 4 points out of 6 matches and I think I need to reconsider my remaining predictions.

A huge number of participants made only 4 points during this round and the guy at the front of the rankings for this round I don't know how he managed to get 10 points out of the 6 games, probably he is going against the odds and so far has paid him off but I don't know if that is the right strategy to get to the end.In the top 20 the gap in points between the participants is starting to be seen and every week that passes it becomes more difficult to recover.

Liverpool can make the remontada if they didn't play full power in today game and I think they are trying to give it a go on next week so it is possible but it will be difficult as both teams,Real and Liverpool are only focusing on the Champions League right now.

I didn't expect a Brentford lost game either or a Brighton not being able to win at Leeds but that is the beauty of the Premier League,in weeks where we think there is money to be made usually money is not made  Grin.

Everton win over Brentford was huge in relegation, especially bearing in mind that neigbors lost against another relegation team Bournemouth, and Leeds draw against Brighton

we scored two goals, but one was disallowed, but Neil scoring is really important and DCL is back, things seems a bit brighter this evening

Hmm... I constantly write that despite the local success of Liverpool, they have a disastrous season, there is no stability and they are not suitable for betting, but yesterday for some reason I added them to my multibet  Undecided
Apparently 1-0 is the final result of the game and Liverpool again becomes the underdog for the fight for the top 4.
What a day to start the weekend games, so Liverpool missed a penalty which should have put them on the score sheet and that left them without a single goal after a solid performance the other weekend that also humiliated an in form Manchester United... Am just not sure what voodoo goes on with scoring too many goes in one game and following match a guaranteed flop follows Cry

I did the same as I thought as a minimum they would draw and based on their recent performance they should have drawn, the fact that Salah lost a penalty heavily weighted on players psychological level and as such they could not do very well. This was the biggest surprise of today games, luckily the other games came as expected at least for the stronger teams like Chelsea and Tottenham.I didn't expect a Brentford lost game either or a Brighton not being able to win at Leeds but that is the beauty of the Premier League,in weeks where we think there is money to be made usually money is not made  Grin.

Guess teams in the bottom are desperate to get all 3 points and no team will stand in their way regardless of who they are, congrats to Bournemouth.

Wonder if we have anybody that predicted this scoreline  Roll Eyes

Liverpool 2-0 -> 2-5 with Real Madrid, then 7-0 with United, now 0-1 with Bournemouth  Grin It reminds me of the clown results of United and Arsenal last season. You can be happy for Bournemouth - they not only left the relegation zone but also took a full revenge for that defeat in the first round, now everyone will remember not 0-9 but these 1-0 which will possibly cost Liverpool a place in the Champions League.
