In a single season we managed to turn from one of the most exciting teams to watch to one of the most boring ones.
Today was unbearable, so many mistakes and a general lack of courage, tempo and flair.

Whoever we put in midfield doesn't do a job for us - we will have to revise that part of the team in the summer.
You are talking about Liverpool? I guess so.

I lost my excitement from the season. Liverpool is losing their chances to be in the CL, forget about to be in top 2nd or top 3. Good thing that I don't gamble these days or I would lose a lot of money and would be in more frustration.

My collection from yesterday is 3 points and I missed to pick a winner in the Liverpool vs Chelsea. Even if I would then I would go for Liverpool so the result does not change anyway.
^^
Don't be sad, we have the same bite for this tour; you must concentrate on the following tours.

Indeed, since Mane's departure from the club, Liverpool has struggled to generate the usual goalscoring chances and win-win situations And he couldn't achieve that. However, Liverpool is able to return to compete for titles in the coming seasons.

Today we have a match for the city against the wounded wolves; if the wolves continue to lose, they will fall further down the standings. The city is also threatened by United and Newcastle; if Pep fails to win today, the indicators will shift.

Newcastle has had a lot of 0-0 results and if they continue like that it is a sure thing that in the end they will lose that 4th place.Tottenham also is not having the best of their days with Chelsea being also in a really bad position with awful performances lately, all these details give hope to Liverpool to believe despite Liverpool really bad results recently (Brighton lost game).

I also did badly in the pool but I won a lot of bets as I had double chance Brighton and Nottingham and also West Ham to win,if West Ham didn't win against Everton which is truly the worst team of the Premier League then against who would they win.

But Newcastle have only one defeat, so if we assume that they have a lot of draws there due to the small number of defeats, then this is excellent. And if you take this tour, then Tottenham lost, Chelsea and Liverpool played a draw - it turns out that Newcastle has strengthened its position relative to its competitors, since although the distance between the clubs has not changed, the number of games until the end of the championship has decreased.

What a shame I bet on Chelsea and Newcastle, and the outcome was unexpected: a goalless draw, making it four draws in six games. The tour was not what I had hoped for.
I believe I'm starting to fall down the ladder, so it would be nice to keep going and look for solutions as we move forward.

what to expect on Arsenal - United, goals are not that predictable
^^
I'm afraid we'll see the same thing that happened during Chelsea's game against Liverpool. For this round, I believe we will stick with the tie rope.

Some tense games today, I didn’t fare too well in my predictions, only 4.5 points. Still fun though & I’ll keep submitting my predictions despite my awful performances in the pool Cheesy
My pool position is a bit like LFC’s season, sub standard.

0-0 for Liverpool vs Chelsea today, not the worst result but both teams looking well below previous seasons standards. Football goes in cycles & it’ll take Klopp a while to sort this mess out before we challenge again.

At least Newcastle drew 0-0 so we didn’t lose any ground in our feeble attempts to get back into the top 4.

Two 0-0 in one day in Premier League? what its happening 2023?

I think Newcastle let go a good chance to make a clear gap against the other teams in the fight for the UCL spots.

Villa gave us the benefit of not sitting on last position in EPL, but times are grim, and get grimmer with each round
Lampard has to leave, but that will obviously not happen after this round, at least first good attacker is coming from Villareal

what to expect on Arsenal - United, goals are not that predictable

Yes, Lampard has to leave but not now..... YESTERDAY. And i loved him when he was a player but now he his not showing good skills as a manager.

And Saints coming back to the normal path...

Yeah I'm pretty big on Liverpool too, for all our troubles this season, we're still somehow able to maintain some kind of spirit at home, and if there is good news, we've actually played our best football against tougher sides (is Chelski even a tough side anymore now though?).

Anyway. 22/10 is great odds at Anfield, we still have Salah!

Put it this way, I'm not confident enough to put any sort of money on it, but it would be typical Arsenal. Plus, United have sort of slide into that bogey team for everyone despite the form they are in. I mean, we had a ton of trouble with them, despite them not evening reaching their best performances of the season yet. That has a lot to do with how Liverpool set up, and the injuries obviously.

That it would be. I was the first to say they're just going to crumble, but happy to have been proven wrong (so far). Arsenal have been anything but the Arsenal I've known for the past decade though.

I won't be too upset by any outcome though... worst-case scenario for me personally is United actually going on to win the title but they are in no shape for that with 17 games to fight left.

That Man City second half performance was very impressive. I don’t know what Pep said to them at halftime but it worked Cheesy
Hopefully Arsenal beat Man Utd this weekend, they can’t afford to give Man City the scent of blood.

Elsewhere, please win LFC!

Yes, I keep thinking about it because City is a team that doesn't know how to lose from a bad position, they only know how to lose quickly like to Manchester United!

Good luck to you and all Liverpool, I bet on the home team because surely Anfield is still the place for 3 points and Liverpool need every win they can get to qualify for Champions League!

I almost almost made money from my first 4-3-free win and still nothing to celebrate 2023 yet. Inspired by so many big bets from people I decided to go for higher odds than usual. Why did I think Tottenham could win??

The worst is I got frustrated and ended up losing even more in casino Blackjack lol

Try again Sad

After the first half, you could hedge this bet (if it was the last outcome that determined its success). The bookies quoted City's odds of winning over 7, and apparently these were profitable odds. Conencho, I did not place a bet because I hoped that Tottenham would hold out and City would lose points, but in the end I was also very disappointed.

I thought Man City were the dumb team, but it turns out that Tottenham are actually much more dumber than City themselves, at least City and Pep were able to escape this humiliation, It sure would have put additional dent on their supposed title chase, but I guess the fixture against Arsenal in few weeks will probably settle that issue. It was a complete turnaround, so It's deserving at the end of the day, right ?
Anyone read Pep's comments after the game? Can't remember him being that livid/nonsensical.

Hopefully Arsenal's 5-point lead is intact when they take on City though...

I can't remember the last time I saw Pep being that furious as well too, and especially not about the officials or VAR teams or his opponents being overly favored, but he was being livid at his own players, and I can't help but agree with on some certain statements especially the point of the team being overly relaxed and the lack of desire/passion from them, I think that's says a lot about the way he has rotated his squad since the league resumption of the world cup, perhaps some of the players are tired, or some of them actually feel they've achieved all there is to achieve within 5 years, and you can arguably tell that even if the players he uses often now aren't technically better than those on the bench, their passion and hunger for success is what is driving them, and that's the number one factor has Arsenal seemed to have this season, it's the hunger, not players with distinctive individual brilliance, and that's another part I'd agree with Guardiola with, just like when Leicester went all the way to surprise the whole world!

Arsenal is ready I think to take on Manchester United this weekend. The form of Manchester United has been good recently with this last draw which I would consider bad luck and players personal arrogance trying to score themselves not helping their friends in securing the second goal against Crystal Palace.I think the lead may as well extend to 8 points during this weekend as Arsenal has one game less than City and this makes them play calmly and whatever result they get, they will still be ahead of 5 points from Manchester City.

Guardiola is right being such livid to his players as it is exactly them, their arrogance which think that they can win any game when in fact they have not been able to do so that is costing them so far the title.

I'm going for a draw with Livepool, and Chelsea tomorrow. Both teams aren't at their best, with the lineup we'll put out I don't think we could buy a goal despite scoring relatively high amounts this season. If we do score, I imagine it'll only be the one. So, We either keep a clean sheet which is doubtful, but could be helped with Chelsea's form or we have to only concede one maximum to walk away with any kind of result.

I feel the same, though am slightly less sure after they dropped points late against Palace. They aren't quite ready yet, and rely completely on a couple of players to keep their form.

And me dumb enough to believe at half time. City's record going down 2 goals is impressive. We used to be like that, now we can't even keep 2 goal leads to weaker teams.

I actually think Man Utd could derail Arsenal this weekend, despite what I've said previously about Arsenal running away with it. United just seem to be the thorn in everyone's back this season, and they could pull an upset here. Arsenal also have a history of falling off the wagon a little after the Christmas period. I don't think that's going to happen, but I do think there will be unexpected results, and this game is on top of my list.

I'd still be somewhat confident in the prediction of Arsenal winning the league though.

I feel the same, though am slightly less sure after they dropped points late against Palace. They aren't quite ready yet, and rely completely on a couple of players to keep their form.

The Sportsbet special on Arsenal win plus 8 corners is a great take if you still want to put money on the Gunners.

i quote, "we are not going to win the league, our only target is to play in the Champions League next season." I was like, man, you are 5+ points ahead and you don't believe your team can do it? It's insane that average Arsenal fans don't believe their team has what it takes to win the league. This type of mentality also exist in the team that's why i don't believe in their title charge at all.
Talk about managing your expectations just in case something does go wrong. I don't blame them, they haven't been in this situation for a long time. However, if I was a Arsenal fan I'd be looking at how poorly everyone else doing, and basically go for broke, and set my ambitions high. I think expectations, and ambitions aren't the same; You may have not expected Arsenal to be in this situation, but now that they are you might as well hope that they win the league. It's he managers job to keep the players level headed, not the fans.

What's the problem with the Saudis and Qataris owing a club? They have proven to be the best option over the years, the English are not good at managing clubs and only a few Americans have managed a top club. Was the City process fraudulent?
The moral implications that they seem to bring with them. While, I'm not suggesting they are all the same, there's definitely some moral questions to be asked over the Saudi's that recently took over Newcastle. However, I feel that's a discussion for politics, and not football. I'd rather have less success, and keep the moral compass of the team; Liverpool has the spirit of Shankly which tends to try, and keep Liverpool as a grass roots team, and keep them in check when they make bad decisions. FSG have made several mistakes over their tenure, and it's spirit of Shankly, and the fans that tend to push them back in line.

I also, don't want to see a league of overpaid players that basically prevents newly promoted teams from competing. I want to see all types of teams in the Premier League, I don't want any sort of super league where only the rich play.

It's already becoming the worst season for me because I don't want City to retain the league and I despise seeing Arsenal or Manchester United win a trophy. What options do I now have? Hah
Personally, I'd much rather Arsenal out of the three. However, if you support another London based club I can see why you wouldn't want that. City probably is the next best option, but I'm really not a fan of them considering how they got where they are. Unfortunately, Liverpool could be taken over by a similar process. Hopefully not.

I support the blue side of London, so it would be a huge blow if the red side won the league while we were still fighting for a UEFA spot. I was speaking with an Arsenal fan and told him that their chances of winning the league are the same as Chelsea's chances of finishing in the top four, and I was surprised by his response, i quote, "we are not going to win the league, our only target is to play in the Champions League next season." I was like, man, you are 5+ points ahead and you don't believe your team can do it? It's insane that average Arsenal fans don't believe their team has what it takes to win the league. This type of mentality also exist in the team that's why i don't believe in their title charge at all.  Grin

Life, Love and Laughter...
^  I didn't watch the match but I saw a comment that made me laugh when asked how could Tottenham lose when they were leading by a couple of goals.  The comment went something like 'lads, it's Tottenham!'.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Anyway, you guys think City is out of the race?

Anyway, what do you guys think of Newcastle to score a goal first vs Crystal Palace at 1.68 as a parlay piece...  Should I just go Newcastle ML  at 1.90?
first goal is risky i would rather go for Newcastle @1.90FT

I guess...  But I'm looking at Newcastle's goals against which sits at 11 total, just 5 goals conceded at home and just 6 away.  And what makes me a bit reluctant to take Newcastle ML is what we saw in Crystal Palace at home vs United.  CP sometimes plays a solid game at home...
