I am watching the game and I must say it is not that entertaining considering that are playing teams with a big name in the Premier League,it looks like some bottom table standing teams are playing and not Manchester City the closest title contender.I hope this changes in the second half.

This should change though otherwise City is going to lose another 3 points. Kinda interesting that somehow Tottenham managed to score two goals on 45th minutes and lead the halftime. Pep is definitely going to be so furious about this in their locker room, kinda interesting to see how City will turn this out in the 2nd half lol

That's literally Tottenham being 2 goals up just within less than 4 minutes, I could have said I saw this coming and now I guess I couldn't have been more right about my prediction of both teams to score and Tottenham not to lose the game, now that's even Guardiola can come up with a plan to get at least one goal as well.

Was a great title challenge by Man Utd (for the whole 4 days they were in it Cheesy Grin).

I think Arsenal are going to roll over them on the weekend, I hope so any way. There was too much chest thumping from Man Utd fans & media guys. Let’s have them put back in their box where they belong Wink
I don't think anybody will roll over this United squad, they clicked together and they are defending impressively. United was always the club that plays easier when other club is dominating possession and they can counter attack, so Arsenal is arguably quite good match up for them. When I say always I am talking about last couple of years not that Ferguson machine that won everything.

City - Spurs tonight could be a good game and I am thinking City draught stops tonight. Spurs have been quite poor in defense this season and I don't see a way how City doesn't score at least a couple of goals tonight.

With De Bruyne being dropped to the bench by Pep, I really don't know what to expect of the team to be honest, not even Foden, Cancelo or Bernardo Silva makes the starting lineup, So whatever reservations I initially had of this fixture is already subdued by Pep's choice of selection. So now I'm pretty much opened to both teams to score and Tottenham to not lose the game 🙂

I dont understand what is happening with Guardiolas choice in this match. 5 main players have been benched that are always playing. I think i never seen De Bruyne on the bench at City and this is shocking to me. I hope they win 2-1 but so far goalless.

What is more dangerous than a goalless game is the fact that both teams never hit a shot at goal while Manchester City slowly is taking control of the game with 7 corners already done for them.It looks like Tottenham has come here to defend and to hope for any good counter attack possibilities as even them has 0 shots on goal so far.

Despite the absence of some key players, I expect Manchester City to come out victorious with a scoreline of 3-1. They have a strong squad and their attacking prowess is undeniable. Tottenham will put up a good fight, but City's defense should be able to hold them off. It should be an exciting match for all fans to watch.

Mid-table teams do occasionally struggle, but because all they do is move up and down the mid table without competing for any trophies, it can be difficult to notice. Right now, Leicester and Everton are struggling, but no one is paying attention to them because everyone is focused on Liverpool and Chelsea's recent performances.

In any case, when the big boys struggle, it gives the smaller teams a chance to compete for the league, as it did in 2015 when Leicester won the league. Right now, Arsenal is at the top of the league not because they are great, but rather because other teams are having difficulties due to injuries and other factors. Having more teams than what we currently have will make the league look unprofessional and boring.
Yeah, and I guess most of the league prefers the extra competitiveness the injuries brings. Although, Everton have been struggling I don't think that's because of injuries, but because of the personal they have at their disposable. They lost their best player last season, and they were always going to struggle.

As for Leicester I haven't really been paying attention to their injury record, but they've been rather awful for a while now. Could be due to injuries though. I just know their old faithful between the sticks was keeping them afloat in past seasons, and obviously the decline of Vardy was never going to help them.

But we still have to give Arteta some credit tho.  He did assemble a decent squad over three seasons with a meager budget.  It's not great but it is enough to beat teams that are supposed to be great.  And they're on their way to win the league.

I'm not discrediting Arteta, but I'm simply stating the fact that,he has done a good job over the years, from #ArtetaOut to Arteta leading these lots to their first league title in two decades. I'm not taking this low transfer budget excuses because Arsenal has been spending on their first priorities, just like other clubs. The only coach who has impressed me the most is the bald man ETH, who took over a bad team and turned it into a title contender in a short period of time.

Anyway, what do you guys think of Newcastle to score a goal first vs Crystal Palace at 1.68 as a parlay piece...  Should I just go Newcastle ML  at 1.90?
first goal is risky i would rather go for Newcastle @1.90FT

By the way, if United now holds the winning score with Crystal Palace, then they (albeit formally) will come out on a clean second place and will be higher than City. Who would have believed this at the start of the season?

Roll Eyes I was kinda happy that we was holding the 0-1 score until the 90th minute then somehow Crystal Palace scored a goal, what a total pain though. Currently same point with City but tomorrow City will be playing their 19th games against Tottenham which I believe would be another 3 points for City considering that they lost last week

I had a strong feeling that United would not hold the winning score when I wrote this post (it can't be that good), but I didn't bet against the club I support.
You do not believe that City will lose points again, but on the other hand, Tottenham will also be in an extremely difficult situation if they lose points. I don’t know what to predict here, but as always I will hope that City will not win.

I'm wondering whether there's a chance that the league decides to increase the squad sizes to accommodate for these poor results, and performances. It's weird too, most of the better teams struggle with injuries where as the rest of the middle table, and below teams never really seem to struggle to the same degree.

And I kinda like how things are going about.  If everything is what they're supposed to be we'd prolly see either City or Liverpool leading by 3 points with the rest far behind...  Aka another boring season.  This one is def been one for the lulz.  Hoping to see Fulham, Brighton and Brentford finish higher.  Cheesy

United's hitting a rich vein of form, how I wish they'd kept Ronaldo and Rangnick or Ole longer haha...

Do you think it would help Liverpool?  Wink

If this victory takes place, then I think that at least 50% is the merit of De Gea, today he saves.

Oh, no of course not. But it always helps my mood to see United in pain and misery.

De Gea has actually held United up for a very long time, even accounting for when his form was poor. I actually wish he'd just kept the clean sheet though, I had bets riding both on and against United. Draws always take me out of everything.

I really miss Ole and Ronaldo, and I wish they had never picked this bald coach. pain Undecided

Right? Liverpool can make me either really happy or really down, but United's pain is a special kind of joy I miss.

Man United probably didn't do well enough to earned the win imo, so the result seems rather very fair to me, I had Man United to win 2-1, but at least I would have gotten 1.5 points if they kept the lead.

Didn't watch but Palace had 5 shots on goal to United's 3... seems like United forgot that they win games with less possession!

Let’s have them put back in their box where they belong Wink

Yes, please!

Imagine Arsenal and Manchester United, two Europa League merchants, competing for the EPL title. Nah, that doesn't make sense. These teams aren't impressing me in the slightest; instead, they're just taking advantage of Chelsea, LiVARpool, and City's inconsistency to have a bragging right, haha. I really miss Ole and Ronaldo, and I wish they had never picked this bald coach. pain Undecided

And what impresses me the most about both coaches is that they doing all their stunning performance with players you'd have considered less significant individually except a couple of them, while the power houses that have spent hundred of millions money on transfers to increase their squad depth are still the ones struggling.

Yeah, credit due to Arsenal (and Leicester) for what they're doing and where they are now but I definitely agree that the similarities of this season and Foxes's one is that the other contenders are all struggling for consistency.

Everton and Leicester, even Villa, West Ham, Saints, Wolves, I'd say have all lost their way in varying degrees, but because they're never expected to challenge, their woes going under the radar.

Anyone got on any ideas on why teams are struggling so bad for injuries right now? Liverpool, and Chelsea have particularly been struggling, and I'm wondering why. It's not like the amount of games has increased except for the world cup. However, most of our players were injured before the world cup. We had a similar problem one year during the pandemic.

I think it is because Liverpool was forced to play with the first eleven even in FA cup when not long ago but just yesterday they won in a beautiful game against Wolves, this was the second game as it ended draw the first one and it was replayed,so Liverpool had 2 extra games just in this week.It is exactly these games that added increased risk of happening to injuries as Liverpool is not doing well in the Premier League so they focus even more in these side events in order to grab some trophies. Now just this upcoming weekend there is again Premier League action and it is the teams who play the most games like Liverpool that get more injuries while for Chelsea I think it is just bad luck or bad coincidence that they have lots of injuries too.
