Anyone got on any ideas on why teams are struggling so bad for injuries right now? Liverpool, and Chelsea have particularly been struggling, and I'm wondering why. It's not like the amount of games has increased except for the world cup. However, most of our players were injured before the world cup. We had a similar problem one year during the pandemic.

I'm wondering whether there's a chance that the league decides to increase the squad sizes to accommodate for these poor results, and performances. It's weird too, most of the better teams struggle with injuries where as the rest of the middle table, and below teams never really seem to struggle to the same degree.

I think it is because Liverpool was forced to play with the first eleven even in FA cup when not long ago but just yesterday they won in a beautiful game against Wolves, this was the second game as it ended draw the first one and it was replayed,so Liverpool had 2 extra games just in this week.It is exactly these games that added increased risk of happening to injuries as Liverpool is not doing well in the Premier League so they focus even more in these side events in order to grab some trophies. Now just this upcoming weekend there is again Premier League action and it is the teams who play the most games like Liverpool that get more injuries while for Chelsea I think it is just bad luck or bad coincidence that they have lots of injuries too.

Liverpool basically didn't have a break. They played the maximum possible amount of games (reached the finals in all competitions) so their season lasted really long, and the new one started earlier than usual due to the World Cup.
That shouldn't be an excuse by any means - successful teams must strive to repeatedly be able to reach the end of the season fighting for trophies. Still - the shorter break due to the WC probably cost Liverpool team more than it would have cost a team playing a different type of football.

Liverpool team simply looks physically drained - and injuries aren't helping because the tired players cannot even get the rest they need.

Top teams struggle more because most of their players also play European and cup games in midweek and also travel to play for their national teams. The difference per player can be as much as 20 games per season.

Yeah, I got it, everyone thinks he'll be suited at Arsenal because they're playing a lot better than everyone else at the moment, well form is temporary but class is permanent, I haven't really watched him play but he's currently the fastest player in the league looking at his previous speed stats and from what I've seen he likes to be on the move, and I think he'd do well in a team like Chelsea who play counter attacking football unlike Arsenal ( possessive football)

With the quality we have on the wings now, he will easily walk into our IX if he performs well. Pulisic and Ziyech's future is uncertain after this season; they are part of our problems.
Harkorede posted my minds pretty much. I also think that he would fit for Arsenal more, but you have good point about Chelsea style of play. Shakhtar in Champions/Europa league also played counter attacking football, rather than possesive football. But I just don't think that Mudryk's position was most problematic in Chelsea that had to spend 100 millions for him.
I don't agree with argument that ''player who wants to ball will ball no matter where he finds himself''. If it would be true, there wouldn't be so many bad transfers when player i new club fail to show what he used to show in his previous club. For example, not every player can perform well in clubs managed by Simeone or Mourinho. Or opposite, sometimes manager simply don't have enough competence to use strong sides of player, like when he let him to play not in his prime position.

Yeah, there are just some players that no matter how good they potential are just wouldn't fit in into certain clubs (more regards to the system and style of play). The biggest problem is Chelsea having right now is that apart from being injury plagued, the lack a lot of identity and chemistry, you have six players playing a specific wing and with a contrast different ideology or style of play, which is what I'm expecting of Graham Potter and I'm willing to give him enough time to have his players fully back and then I can judge if he in my opinion if or not he's coach worthy of coach a club like Chelsea.

What do you guys think about Mudryk's transfer to Chelsea? I'm afraid that it can become story of another wasted talent. It feels that Chelsea desperately wanted to buy him to net let Arsenal to sign him. I hope that I'm wrong, but I really wanted to see him in Arsenal and I think that going to gunners would be much better deal for both club and player.

A good player performs everywhere, I'm tired of hearing about "wasted talent," a player who wants to ball will ball no matter where he finds himself, if Mudryk is a good player, he will prove it on the pitch, I haven't seen him play, but from the few clips I've seen, I believe he has a lot of potential to do well. He has pace, which is something I look for in a player.

It's not Chelsea's fault that Arsenal couldn't pay €5m more for him. Who knows, going to Chelsea might be the best option

I think he's probably speaking from a perspective of where he thinks Mudryk would likely fit into the game plans easily, I don't know about Mudryk as at 7-8 days ago, so I really can't speak much of his abilities, but from have learnt in the last few days, I think he'll be better suited to Arsenal imo too, because Arsenal currently lacks a squad depth and he might get more playing time there, however he will seemingly struggle to keep his place once Chelsea luxury of players playing the same role as he does gets back from their injury spell.

Another round, another bad result on Superbru. The table has been turned which I slip to 5th and have 11 points gap with the 1st position Embarrassed

There are still halfway to go and Mitchr4 is currently having a good round but things could be different on the next round as you could be the one getting a good round of points. Well atleast you are still way ahead of the majority of the pool though so its all good for now  Smiley

Another round, another bad result on Superbru. The table has been turned which I slip to 5th and have 11 points gap with the 1st position Embarrassed Apart from this, finally I can see the yellow cap winner won the entire games of previous round, with 4 exact and 5 close scores! There are two remaining games indeed but those games are not originally played on round 20. Congrats Hhampuz!

Now is that critical time in which if you want to be the winner or be at least in the top 10 you should not have bad results.I was having bad rounds myself but compared to last time around where I was and where I am now I think I see positive vibes only,I think if I manage to keep up with this kind of results like being an average or somewhat better than most of people in the pool, having this consistency will make me hopefully to be in the top 22 people in the end of tournament.Last time around I was really mad at myself as I came up 12 while only 2 mere points divided me from that 10th place and the final prize,I hope this year to win a prize.

Hhampuz was another planet Saturday,he should be still partying and drunk now  Grin.
I was too optimistic by playing against odds on some matches in the last two rounds, while this method worked in my early rounds. Yeah consistency is the key, and seems it's better to play safe in the remaining rounds lol. Good luck mate!

I said it before i dont like him like a player, but who knows, the only thing i know its Chelsea needs to calm down and stop expending money like this, its a non sense or non brainer move.
They are trying to find a player to solve all his problems and doesnt work on that way.
Chelsea have to addmit this season its gone, and start thinking seriously in the next one.

I think it's way to early to say such things. It's 8 points already, but in league like EPL it's not that much. Especially considering that's just 20th round and we have almost half of season remaining. Though, I think that this season Arsenal have everything to become champions.

It is certainly true that there is still a lot of time left in the season, and a lot can change in the coming weeks and months. However, it is also true that Arsenal's current position in the league is quite strong, and they do have the potential to be a very strong team this season. Ultimately, it is difficult to predict how the rest of the season will play out, but it is certainly possible that Arsenal could be in the running for the championship.

^^
It sounds like Hhampuz is having a very strong round, with an impressive 23.5 points already earned with two games remaining.achieving such a high score in this round is definitely commendable, especially if it is one of the best performances of the season. It is likely that Hhampuz will be in a strong position to win the yellow cap for this round, which is a great accomplishment. Congratulations in advance to Hhampuz for their impressive performance.

Good that you did. I lost a lot of money, and I was supposed to just stay put because of it today but I decided to pour in all my Livecasino campaign satoshi sofar into SB and try win it back today with Arsenal (which is looking great at 2.3x).

Finally a day without a single surprise result in the Premier League,Chelsea had that absolute needed victory in order to find the missing serenity in the team from quite some time now although they need to keep going like that because a single victory won't do any good to them in the long term.

Newcastle just got what they wanted, the three points and stopped Fulham from making history if they had won this game,it would have been the 5th consecutive for Fulham, something never before done in their history,I wonder if it is 17 or 18 games without a loss for Newcastle, something along these lines.

Arsenal so far is dominating the game and winning comfortably but since this is a derby anything can happen but most likely Arsenal is going to win this.

Yes, indeed! I mentioned already I skipped Chelsea and Newcastle, which I guess I shouldn't have, but not complaints, because taking Arsenal at 2.2x++ was the best decision ever.

Put a large bet (for my standards) and it hit pretty easily in the end, even though Spurs played much better in second half.

This covered 80% of my losses in previous week, and then last night Supercopa bet also hit, so I am back to a good start thanks to just Arsenal and Benzema lol.

The last time Newcastle lost was to... Liverpool Smiley I remember this was the debut of yesterday's scorer winner!

Back to pool - Hhampuz is simply killing this round. 23.5 points already with 2 games remaining. Yeah, this round have a bit more games, but I think it's best performance this season. My congratulations with yellow cap in advance.

Arsenal for me is already the Champion of Premier League, having won today game that easy against Tottenham and having 8 points distance from Manchester City I think they are very calm now and will take any game with serenity and caution, they should do well to not underestimate even a single game even when they are playing against the bottom of the table otherwise they put their title win at big risk.

Did you guys see a "missed" penalty from Mitrović? I have put missed in quotation marks since he actually scored it and it was overruled. You don't see that every day but he slipped and managed to hit himself in his other foot and still scored  Grin Newcastle won today but they weren't that good and Fulham could have taken a point or even all three today.
Ops The rules have been in place since the 90s, which is why the players never contested; they knew it was a free kick to Newcastle. He double kicked the ball, which was unfortunate because that goal would have changed the outcome of the game. How come players and keepers are not treated equally when it comes to PK? When a keeper crosses the line, the ball is retaken, but when a player double touches, the ball is awarded as a free kick.

Arsenal was great in first half but Spurs started the second much better. We could see some more goals here, Tottenham is famous for late come backs this season. I am writing this in min 75. and it is still 2:0 for Arsenal, need at least one goal for Spurs for my both to score to pass.

City lately has not been consistent at all, they have lost that touch that made them win every game with ease, apparently Haaland is a great player but he cannot add to the team part of his personal qualities so Manchester City to do  well overall and being consistent in their wins, they are lacking this.

Are you seeing the weekend of Hammpuz? its like the summon of skill + luck, 100k win bet and..... no incorrect result in the pool. A little be jeaolus of that 100k not gonna lie Tongue . I send to you my wallet adress via PM XD . Congrats man and enjoy it.

Not gonna lie. Not envious but doubly mad at myself. I had the very same picks in an acca, except for Citeh instead of United. Ordinarily I'd be extra extra mad at myself as United's leveler shouldn't have stood but my other pick in there was actually Liverpool and I can't complain for being dumb there.

Only caught final 15 minutes or so of Toons. Saw Almiron get subbed off and I thought it was for sure going to end scoreless and then well, that guy haha. Need to try find that highlight reel tomorrow as missed plenty of drama. How do you accidentally score and get overruled though? edit: now I understand, touched ball twice.

Talking about Tottenham Arsenal , Arsenal destroy totenham, and i cant believe the management of Comte today, really poor he made all bad decisions.

Why he made the changes so late? Why stay at pitch Romero when he has a yellow card and the referee pardon him several times the red card, he dont see it???.

Why dont change sessegnion doing nothing and with another yellow card? why wait until 75 minute when you are 2-0 down and not playing good?. I think now he can be next to the exit door.

And yes i put a draw in that match ....
