Arsenal destroyed today Nottingham and this was expected for them to retake the lead which they had lost momentarily.I think they played with the second squad in Europa League to get a convincing win tonight against Nottingham so they stay still at the top.

it is a long season, and Arsenal needs a lot of wins like this to stay on top
but agree, EPL is certainly a priority compared to Europa league, although they have solid chances to win that trophy as well

United made new win, I remember stories before their third round match with Liverpool, and looking at table now, it really turn out to be comic

Congrats on getting a consecutive second yellow cap mate.It was a good week for most of us at the pool and personally I am again now less than 10 points from the leader of our pool standings.I never expect to be this high in points at this point of the season,I remember being 43th not many weeks ago but these last couple of weeks have been good to me.I just need to be persistent and I think in the end of the season for the first time I will be in a winning position in any pool that I have taken part. Can't wait for the next round.

Shocking, no one's taking the opportunity to rub it in the faces of Liverpool supporters? No Loserpool jibes or LiVARpool rescue?

Two back-to-back defeats to relegation teams? First Anfield loss with VVD in our team? Saving Marsch's job?

You guys are too kind. Heh. Well, I've recovered somewhat from the loss and will most likely ragebet on our next game vs Napoli, but meanwhile, let's see if West Ham can help keep United in closer company with us for a while.

You know, betting against Liverpool is extremely good value, if you've been following my style of betting. I can't do it, it's just not possible, but feel free to make big money on us this season.

Hahaha, you have plenty of reason , but like a proverb says " You dont made firewood from fallen trees".

Its quite surprising how this Liverpool its struggling so much with lower tier teams, and not with top teams. I dont know why, maybe a motivation thing, or now they cant break the defensive lock made by this teams.

I think it is because Liverpool is having a lot of trouble being prepared psychologically when playing against these teams. They don't need such motivation when they face the big teams as they are already motivated themselves as they know that they are playing against the big guys while I think after a couple of wins in the Champions League they start to take things a bit lightly in the Premier League against "low tier" teams

So City really played bad without Haaland? Hope that's true... Not that it matters right now as Liverpool are looking so far ahead we need to fix ourselves first before hoping others stumble. But I do need to win some big City hets as it has actually not happened this season yet.

Happy I got points from Brighton, sad I didn't place any bets. Kinda feel cheated every time I get a single point for going big.

Villa crashing down to earth again huh?

Lol.  As fans of the EPL I think it would be better not to wish any ill will on clubs you consider your rivals.  For example with Liverpool supporters, I'd really get it if those people are actual Scousers who are willing to bash rival supporters' heads for territory and pride, but c'mon...  We're just people in a forum here trying to enjoy the matches.

And what's going on with Klopp?  Losing another one vs Leeds after losing the last one...  Something is def wrong.  Hope they make a couple of good transfers this January and then at the summer.

In general, yes, at least Alvarez, who replaced Haaland, failed the meeting.

I guess this Chelsea lost game was not that expected at all, especially 4-1 is a huge loss to take.I thought the two draws that Chelsea had before would made them to play as best as possible in order to get a win,now judging from this pattern 2 draws and 1 lost game it looks like the magic of the new coach is well over.
~

This often happens - a change of coach leads to some changes and a surge in the motivation of the players, but then after a few games everything returns to normal. And it looks like it's normal for Chelsea not to be a top club this season. I hope this will eventually lead to the purchase of Ronaldo  Grin

they are not the team to win Champions league, and it is not up to Haaland, or any particular player, it is their manager
so close, but so far away from Cup trophies, and knock-out competition winning

having best team allows you to get titles in league competition, since all others will have their red strikes, when you pull up, but in Cup, where one moment/minute/period could decide all, Pep is not on top of things

I would like it to be so, but still the city has a chance and sooner or later they will work (however, I hope that this will not be under Guardiola).

I was watching the qualifying of F1 yesterday and only at 11 PM I checked the Flashscore and I was waiting a 3-0 win from Liverpool as Leeds had come exactly after 4 consecutive lost games so they sure were suffering, only to be shocked by that 1-2 result and more shocking is that they scored the 2nd goal in additional time,Liverpool as a big team should not let these things happen.Nothing to say here as a Liverpool fan, except that this year is not meant for us and we move on,at least in the pool I didn't do that bad and earned a couple of positions.

any lack of him or a "bad day" could be very costly in the Champions League playoffs.

I think City did well enough and deserve their win, and I was expecting them to struggle simply because I knew Guardiola would definitely come up with some lineup we weren't expecting, but I guess it's all to be sure of what he's got when the going gets tough, because that's only explanation I could make of barely playing Foden and not bringing in Mahrez at all.

Chelsea where completely massacred, I really don't know what happened to be honest because I'm even yet to to catch the highlights but I never would have imagined it, I even felt it would have been an easy win for Chelsea.

What a round man.

Anyone has placed a bet when Spurs went 2-0 downhill? Really big money if anyone have the balls to put a bet in that moment.

City winning only 1-0 against Leicester.... strange seems like they really miss Haland.

Newcastle keep the triumphal path, really solid.

And Brighton..... what can i say about this team. I have no words, they keep destryoing the Big 6 but cant win against the lower tier teams. How can explain this?

Brighton showing Graham Potter that he shouldn't have left the club.  Lmaooo.  ~

It would seem that Potter should have a good understanding of his former club and easily deal with it, but it turns out the opposite  Grin

By the way, City looks pretty sad without Haaland. Betting on a super center forward can (hopefully  Grin ) play tricks on City - any lack of him or a "bad day" could be very costly in the Champions League playoffs.

I don't think City played that bad, they got what they wanted and now all the pressure is on Arsenal tomorrow but I think Arsenal would a be a huge mistake if they cannot win at home against Nottingam Forest.

Brighton showing Graham Potter that he shouldn't have left the club.  Lmaooo.  I missed making my predictions except for the last 4 fixtures of this weekend.  But looking at the scores, I think the only one I would've gotten close is the Newcastle vs Aston Villa match.

But yeah..  This round of matches looks like it's easier to predict than the last couple match days.  Good luck to everybody.

Famous last words. The match-ups this week did seem easier to pick for me but I've thought that before and done terribly.

So you guys think Leicester can get a goal in vs City or is there some value in City win to nil at 2.32?

They could for sure and I've picked them to get one seeing as they've managed to get two decent results on the bounce but City are a different animal. Home advantage will be a plus but I don't think I'd put money on them to score.

I'm wondering if Liverpool will slaughter Leeds? Could be messy at Anfield but they're coming off that shocking loss to Forest. Does that mean they'll be bouncing back with a bang or are they going to struggle to score?

Oh, make sure to look out for the World Cup pool in Games and Rounds soon. Should be active over the weekend.

^  Perfect match up for Liverpool to bounce back imho.  Got them to win 3 - 1 for the pool.  But then again dunno...  From a betting perspective we just can't trust Liverpool this season.

You know it's City today gentlemen, and you know if I see an opponent have 10/1 I'm taking it.

I still have happy memories from last season's double City whammy (Leicester in Community Shield followed up by Spurs in Prem League opener) and odds those days were barely 4/1.

Brighton will want to remind Potter for sure but they're struggling as much as Chelsea, so I'm picking Chelsea win, but might throw in a bet against them if I do well with the Foxes.

(except as cryptofrka points out, Wood, really, I have no idea what that was about).
Wood was perfectly logical solution at that time, somewhat proven not overly expensive striker that doesn't need adaptation to the league. At that moment they were in relegation fight and their only proper striker Willson had injury problems. They needed quick fix to bring somebody to play next bunch of games, not long term solution. Now they brought Isak who can cover for Willson or play on wing when Willson is fit.

Willson is one of my favourite strikers in PL, but he is very injury prone and you have to have somebody to cover almost half of the season.

Actually, I do remember they were fighting with Burnley to avoid relegation so it was actually an evil but genius move. Take away Burnley's goals, while possibly adding to theirs. It worked Wink

Isak, I will of course remember very well, scored on his debut against us but didn't really impress -- unfair to say of course, he got injured the next game IIRC and hasn't played since.

Do not forget to put your picks as the games are today,we start a new round during this weekend. We have 8 games during today so they are a lot and it looks like we have quite some interesting ones which are Leicester vs City,in here I doubt City will lose today, another interesting game is Brighton vs Chelsea where Chelsea is in desperate need for a win today after two draws and last but not least we have Liverpool vs Leeds which Liverpool needs to win here to keep going a bit.I don't see any other game of interest from today games for betting.

For sure Leicester will score a goal in this match they are on a roll and scoring a lot of goals lately so that will happen for sure i think. I picked 1-2 for City but i think Leicester can surprise in this match. But im on top of the leaderboard so i cannot risk much with my predictions this time

really do not think that this is a safe bet (nothing is safe of course, but this one does not have much value)

Leicester had several clean sheets lately, playing better, but win over Wolves should be counted out, because they put all in, and Wolves make their attacks comic, against City would be much different, and with early goals from City, Leicester could end up playing offensive, which could provide them with goals
on the other hand, they have solid counter-attack, in case City has to attack in full swing
