Life, Love and Laughter...
for the liverpool fans who don't know Arthur: tremendous flop in FC Barcelona, massive flop in Juventus, injury prone, not a great creative mid but he's ok in the defensive job and can help push the team forward. He should be a decent sub for Liverpool
I haven't heard any news from the reliable journalists around Liverpool, so I imagine it's just tabloid rumours which are usually rife around this time. However, I'll bite. Liverpool don't need a sub, they need someone to come in, and be of first team quality or alternatively someone who's reliable. Gini was a super reliable player for us, and it's unfortunate we let him go, as he was the perfect solution to what we're going through right now, and that's a lack of players. Thiago is brilliant, but very injury prone. Henderson is brilliant on his day, but has also struggled with the pace of the game in the recent years, and does pick up some injuries himself. Consider Gini who was almost never injured. Seriously, I can't remember the last time he was injured for Liverpool.

On the other hand we also have Keita who has missed more games than he has played because he's so injury prone. We just need someone like Milner with a bit more miles in his legs, and can be a difference maker. I don't know who that is, and I doubt we sign anyone that fits the bill this side of Christmas.
As far as I know Arthur to Liverpool is dine deal. Not much of singning probably but I guess slow start to the season and lots of injuries forced their hand and they bought what they could in last minutes.

Don't expect him to play much but he is one more option for the rotation when needed.

Liverpool is winning against Everton on weekend, right? Everton never looked weaker but this is Merseyside derby so who knows.

Everton has ever looked weaker after the genius Moyes left the club.  They used to be a consistent midtable club finishing likely at 5th - 7th in most of their seasons under Moyes...  At least that's how I remember it.  But yeah, they're definitely losing against Klopp's guys and maybe even losing with the opposing side getting s clean sheet.

The team totals for Everton, under 0.5 goals is at 2.22.  What do you guys think?  It seems like there's a little bit of value there...  I mean could Everton really get one in?  Are Liverpool's CB's really performing that poorly?

Who exactly is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall? Oh my goodness! I thoroughly enjoyed his performance last night; Leicester City's scouting is excellent. They will extract €100m from this guy in 2-3 years.

He's a product of their academy, he's been there a while already.
Occasionally he does well and has a good game, but overall I don't expect him to be a player that will bring them insane money.
Tbf, Leicester sold a fridge for 80M to Man Utd a few years ago and they recently performed a daylight robbery by selling Fofana for another 80M. The Foxes, masters of their craft, will sell this nobody for 60M-100M and there's nothing we can do about it   Wink Grin

He's already 24 years old, hasn't been capped for England on any level and last season he had his first PL season, in which he was mediocre at best.

Yeah, just seeing it now. Loan. Probably to plug the gap with the injuries, and see if he does rediscover some of his previous form. I do believe he was quite promising at some point in his career, I can't say I've seen much of him though.

Yeah, I'm quite confident we'll beat Everton. They don't have the players they had last season, and they were god awful last season. We might be absolutely awful right about now, but I'm still confident of winning by at least two goals, and keeping a clean sheet. I'd like to see Matip start to better our chances of a clean sheet though, and hopefully get him match fit with a relatively easy opponent. Of course though, stranger things have happened.

United may have played well in first half, but this is a really poor Leicester side missing a lot of the gelling and form, and they probably deserved at least a goal. All the same, Ten Hag must be feeling the pressure let off for a bit.

They can't be getting any joy from Arsenal, surely?

I hope you understand why McTom is more important to this team than the other DM options. He may not be a great passer, but his workrate and marking are among the best this season, in my opinion. He gave the Manchester United backline so much confidence with his interceptions and tackles throughout the game last night; he was the most important player on the pitch for the Manchester United side, and I hope the other side of United fans can see why coaches always throw him to the first IX.

Arsenal will end Manchester United.

Hahaha "How many goals will Liverpool score against Everton?" should be the question. The Merseyside derby is the easiest and most boring derby, with Liverpool winning by +3 goals.

I thought I was doing really badly actually, well okay I am lol but am really surprised to see last season prize winners below me. Has the scene flipped, like Leicester and Liverpool now bottom half of the table?

But don't worry guys, just kidding, I know things will turn around.

Derby I think Everton only won it once in modern times during Liverpool's injury season. This looks like close to another injury season except they have van dijk.

I really don't know, I think they just might another decent result off Arsenal.

Arsenal so far haven't played any of the big teams, I'm not saying Man Utd is a big team Grin , but we know Arsenal tend to fair against these teams, and We'll find out If they'll be able to get it done this season, but I'm not having my hopes up.

Ten Haag would have felt better with the team's 3rd consecutive victory, but there is still sh*t load of work to be done, you wouldn't say they were head above all hills the better side in those games, with those lone goal wins over extremely struggling sides ? it better shouldn't get into his head just yet because reality might dawn on him way sooner again.

Tomorrow another weekend of the Premier League, for me it is very much needed after going down in 41th place and losing 14th places during this midweek round, yeah you gotta love the midweek games.Manchester yesterday just did their job and won the game but more than their merit for the win is the recent form of Leicester which is clearly a team that will be fighting for relegation during this season, together with Bournemouth,Bournemouth despite being somewhat higher in points is a team who has conceded more goals than anyone in the league so far.

Man, I had a ridiculous amount of money (relative to how I gamble) riding on Liverpool to win
Me too. Not a massive stake, around my usual. However, it was combined with four other matches. One of them being us to beat Everton with a clean sheet, and then Arsenal to win, Wolves to win, and Man City to win with a clean sheet. I also had a few other things sprinkled in like number of cards, and no red cards. Anyway, Wolves are the only team to let me down, and that's simply by not winning. They had a tonne of bloody shots too. Anyway, you win some, and you lose the majority as the saying goes...

I'm hoping I do a little better once I figure out the form of teams. Seems, it's quite a bit different from previous seasons. Also, like I said being a Liverpool fan has destroyed me the last few weeks.

Yeah, that's been my Achilles heel this season, didn't follow pre-season, and still catching up with trying to watch teams after missing early season games, so am not quite sure what form is (guessed United and Chelsea, but only in betting, absolutely missed out on Leicester's form, etc.) which is what has helped me predict last season.

It was still a good day for me to get 1.5 points from this match as my prediction was a 2-1 win for Manchester United.  Smiley

The first half was really lovely for Manchester United. There were many positive things and the goal was also a product of a nice counter-attack. Rashford performed well in this match and he is doing really good when he gets the chance these days. De Gea's save against Maddison's superb free-kick was worth watching as well. I don't know what they would do without De Gea I mean as he is one of the heroes of the team for long years. It would have been a great ending if Ronaldo's volley finished up with a goal.  Smiley
Manchester United really deserved the win last night because they played a very nice football, and Sancho was just perfect for the night. He played so well and deserved the goal he scored.
Leicester were not just good at the first half of the match, they were not even composed to be able to score a goal,it was in the second half that they tried their best to get a result, but it was too late.Manchester united are gradually picking form and they would face another test when they face inform Arsenal at old Trafford on Sunday.

so, Brendan Rodgers getting sacked is pretty much inevitable right now, i wonder who's going to replace him...

Man Utd look very solid right now, winning games, clean sheets, some brilliant moments of football, also there's still some brainfarts here and there so there's some work to be done, but overall great recovery after that crappy start of the season
Not a good start for Leicester and Rodeger, but he must be protected at all costs; they played well tonight; what Rodger needs now is patience to turn the situation around. After losing Fofana, he had to move Ndidi to the center back position to fill the void. Manchester United won the game, but Leicester City won our hearts.

Liverpool are interested in Juventus midfielder Arthur, to fill the hole in midfield but does he still have Xavi-like passing vision
good one 😂🤣

You explain more details. Now over to you Liverpool fans! He failed at Bacelona, failed at Juventus can he live up to the hype at Liverpool? Okay.

Well, United had problems before Ronaldo arrived, so again I don't think that's all it's to it. However, I do believe he added to the problems, and maybe there's a correlation to their performances since he's effectively been dropped from the first team. I do remember having a discussion on how Ronaldo is too big of a personality for the team not to feel it. However, it somewhat worked before, and it worked at Real Madrid with equally big personalities. So, I'm not sure how much of a correlation there's.

Don't get me wrong, they aren't looking absolutely brilliant, but they look like a team that likes to play again, and have some determination about them. Something has changed, and I'm not sure if it's just the Ronaldo problem as mentioned, combined with the new manager. That just seems to obvious though, since you could argue they've had good managers in the past, which have all failed, and that was without Ronaldo. Obviously, last season was particularly bad in terms of position in the table, and performances.

I think I predicted a draw, so more dropped points for me.

^  If they lose it and lose a couple more, Brendan Rodgers to be given the sack next imho.

All the favorites falling, yet again, have to love mid-week matches Cheesy

Heh yup!  And looking at the league table, the top clubs who were supposed to be chasing for the trophy have fallen off somewhat...  Liverpool, Chelsea and to some extent Man United.  But yeah, it's looking like Arsenal has a legit shot to go for the title rn.  Lol.  I guess we'll have to see.  Arteta's boys are taking on Man United next and October should show if they got it.  They have Tottenham, Liverpool and City.  :/
Leicester is in free falling mode, they stopped investing in the team and it shows. When they loose Maddison and Tielemans they will enter relegation battle zone and that is their reality.

Arsenal had by far easiest fixtures begging of this season and they used it well, but now comes the real test for them. I am bit afraid how they will look against the very best teams but this looks like their season to challenge for the title. Jesus clicked perfectly with the youngsters and they look great in attack, not so much in defense and City will know how to exploit that.

Manchester United are doing the same again. They got 1-0 ahead in the first half by showing a solid performance. Now they are trying to maintain this score until the final whistle. The second half has been under control of Leicester until now but they can't answer this goal still. The same clumsiness Southampton had against Manchester United is happening to Leicester as well. This is what I don't want to see Manchester United doing. They should fight for more at least one more goal to relieve before trying to keep an advantage.

My pick was 2-1 Manchester United win and it depends on Leicester to score the equalizer. I would love to close the week by 3 more points but Leicester are really bad today. Manchester United don't have even one shot in this half which makes me scared. Maybe they can't get ahead again if they concede a goal in these minutes.

Although, right now they're looking like a decent team. Leicester hasn't looked great for the last two years now, but there's definitely something about United this season. Eriksen seems to be a good purchase for them too, he's looking good out there.

Probably means more dropped points for me in the group.

maybe it is Ronaldo all along, they are playing with more will without him
not sure why, but maybe players simply did not wanted him on the pitch

nevertheless, win over Leicester would bring back confidence, and they could be easily back into CL fight, having Arsenal over the weekend, which could be a great thriller, bearing in mind Arsenal current form, good old Fergusson/Wenger times

That is exactly what I was thinking.Unfortunately if Leicester loses tonight I guess it is the number one team that we will see to fight for relegation followed by Bournemouth.I think Manchester United is playing really well in these last games where no one believes much that they will win easily their games, especially the bookies given that they give big odds to Manchester United despite Leicester really poor performance up to now and I doubt it will change,we have now a somewhat clear view of all the teams and their capabilities.

Fergusson and Wenger times were good ones but that always saw Fergusson as the winner I think it is time for a change and to see a great Arsenal like this one to keep go like they are doing up until now.
