Life, Love and Laughter...

Congrats to the Liverpool fans and to the degens who had the balls to take Liverpool.

I'd take the loss if we'd won every other game, tbh. But yeah, this game means a lot to us.

Seriously though, are we taking Arsenal seriously enough? Beat Liverpool, Leicester and Spurs, okay lost to United, City have only beaten... who else in Top 6 contenders besides United?

It's more than a lot with how bad Liverpool's run is this season.  It's really the morale boost Klopp and the squad really needed.  Hopefully a good run comes out of it.  Not a Liverpool fan but I like Klopp.

Arsenal is a contender for the title.  I'd like to see them go against City now.  The master vs the apprentice.  Wink  And if there's a manager already ear marked by Guardiola to replace him it's Arteta. That much we know.  I'd be surprised if it isn't Arteta.

Brighton scored 3 at Anfield, since then they have failed to score a single goal in 3 games. Very frustrating for ke as a Liverpool fan. They raise their game at Anfield but then revert to mediocrity after. I expected Brighton to beat Notts Forest to be honest. I watched some of the game, Forest couldn’t put 4 passes together, they’re one of the worst teams I’ve seen in the PL.

Hoping LFC continue the good form & dispose of West Ham tonight. We need to get our season started after a stuttering August, September & October.

Brighton was much better side last night, but could not score, while Palace scored two on Wolves, even after they parked a bus, following lead goal

it is probably over for Brighton in top6, and they would slide into down part of the tables in following weeks, while Forest is really disappointment for EPL football quality level, fast track to championship

it's just a matter of time before they'd get to score a goal or 2.

As a matter of facts, the entire pool decided to go with Brighton to win and scored in this game. This is probably the first time this season that no one predicted anything close to this draw result. Brighton hasnt scored a single goal for the last 3 games in a row and I guess their run is pretty much over ever since Potter left the club huh

Lol! Quite a rare case, but it seems to me that this is not the only case in the past 10 rounds =~ 100 outcomes. And by the way, if no one guessed the outcome, then it doesn’t matter if the score was close or not (for example, if team A won 3-2 and someone bet on a draw 3-3), then this is still a completely lost forecast without scoring points for a close score . Most likely, such cases only affect the accuracy statistics in the pool, since it is obvious that 3-2 is closer to 3-3 than for example 1-0.

Tottenham I agree with you is in top form and I believe for the time I have followed the Premier League I don't remember seeing a Tottenham with such great results so far, today though is a great test for them,I bet on a both teams to score yes and a draw.
I usually do not pick draw in the pool but I have a strong feeling that this will be a draw. Tottenham are good but Utd have home advantage so both team has their best chances. Anyway, I am looking forward to the Liverpool match. After having the win against City last week, boys are pumped to continue with another win besides West Ham are not in their best form.

The odd of Liverpool being so low is a clear indication that everyone is expecting a convincing win from them.It is crucial that they win this game in order to continue their good run.West Ham is not in their best form especially after not getting a win last weekend,I doubt they will be of any threat to Liverpool tonight.I think a convincing 2-0 for Liverpool, all the pool is widely expecting a Liverpool win and also all of the bookies are also waiting the same.I know that Premier League is full of surprises but I doubt we will have one in the Liverpool game.

Man guys, Arsenal and Spurs BOTH having their best start in 20 years+ I think I read Spurs even is best start in 50 years? And yet no one is talking about Conte and them, remember this is even with Son having a "bad" season.

No, I disagree with you on this one. I believe Spurs' best year was in 2015, when they competed  with Leicester City and nearly won it if it hadn't been for E. HAZARD, who ruined the party. Poch's best year at Spurs, and don't forget that they reached the Champions League final a few years ago. They've had some memorable moments over the years.

I was talking about best start, obviously since it's only 10 games into the season, no one can say what kind of season they will end up with or even Arsenal Smiley

I obviously think Poch era was their best, but all I'm pointing out is Arsenal and Spurs have never collected this many points after 10 games since decades. Spurs 23 points from 10 games while that Leicester year was only 17.
This is undoubtedly true, but if we're being honest, they struggled in their first few games before getting going. They've been getting good results subsequently, but I've lost a few bets on them in the Europa League because of their poor europa form. lol. They are now three points ahead of Chelsea in fourth place and four points behind league leader. For the fourth spot, they will compete with Manchester United and Liverpool.

Spurs has a difficult test tonight against Manchester United and I highly doubt they will win this game, what I think is that if they get a draw here should be considered a relatively good result for them.Manchester United sure would want to not draw again at home after drawing against Newcastle on this last weekend.

It's quite unlucky for Brighton not have score yet within the fist half, they were the better team and it was not even my a close margin, Brighton have had 20 attempts and 4 on target, Nottingham Forest are still yet to make even just an attempt, let alone having any shot on target.

The second half just began, and If Brighton are able to keep up with the level of performance they portrayed in the first, and pressurize Nottingham further, it's just a matter of time before they'd get to score a goal or 2.

Yes I also think so but the problem is that time is passing fast and we are already at the 60th minute of the game. You know that the team that needs to win the more minutes pass the more become pressured and when becoming pressured to win it can be prone to make many many mistakes which in the end would translate into Brighton not winning and that would crush all the pool predictors together with many bettors, the odd of 1.40 of Brighton was really small and most people probably have bet on them.

The stats though as you say point to some really Brighton dominance which I hope until the end of the game to translate to a Brighton win.

And the big surprise of the night, the boring team Palace just conceded to Wolves which have not scored a goal in open play since 3 September, can you imagine how bad Palace is.

Yeah, it was quite unfortunate for Brighton to eventually for a draw, but Nottingham Forest was also quite better in the second half and they had a couple of chances themselves but they couldn't convert any of  them, this is one of those games you'd not to end up goalless, but it is what it.

At least Wolves have turned the game around to make it 2-1 in their favor, and few minutes plus stoppage life, and I could get an exact point for that, so fair enough then.

Yeah they turned things around and congrats on your exact score,I had 1-0 so I would get a close one,it is normal I think to have put it such way because as I said Wolves didn't score a goal in open attack since near 2 months now specifically from 3 September and they got and scored tonight.

Really surprised by Brighton draw but these things happen in such games and Premier League if it does not have surprise results then what kind of Premier League is.

Congratulations to City on the Team of the Season award and to Liverpool on second place  Grin
Nothing seemed strange to you colleagues? Real Madrid who beat both of these teams and won the Champions League is only the third  Grin
keep in mind that Real Madrid were the second best team in champions league games against Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool last season, thanks to some Benzema pure finish class, but they were no better tactically than Manchester City and Liverpool..

Grin Shocked I didn't understand you completely. Are you saying that Real was worse than City and Liverpool and only won at the expense of Benzema? But Benzema plays at Real Madrid = Real Madrid was stronger.
The fact that City and Liverpool are above Real Madrid is absurd and nothing more. I wish I could see this in boxing: Boxer A beat Boxer B and Boxer C, but he's lower in power rating than both of them.

By the way, what are your thoughts on United - Tottenham? BTTS No since 2.32? This is the simplest thing I see. BTTS Yes with only 1.61 odds not serious.
Both teams have good attacking players and a weak defense, but I'd take Manchester United to win at 2.41. Rashford, Ronaldo, and Antony appear to have found a common ground, as they have linked up well in recent matches.

As a United fan, I find it hard to believe that United will win - it would be too good and with victories over Liverpool and Arsenal it even looks like something like a fairy tale. I am biased, so I do not presume to judge the winner (although in the pool I chose United, of course).

Chelsea, by the way, are actually doing really well after new boss, Liverpool dropped many points and mainly I feel their key players not performing, but still I think they can close gaps.

I don't really follow Premier LEague in past few years as much as most but it feels to me as an outsider like it's already the most open season so far.

Right now, I'm feeling for Mendy because Kepa is determined to reclaim his former No. 1 spot; he's been fantastic since the new coach arrived, and four clean sheets in a role against four top sides is a good fight..

If I were Mendy, I would sign the pending contract extension while it is still available before the other Major League GK arrives in January. I'm afraid James' long-term injury will end the winning streak. Tbh. Last season, it happened to us. We lost the league last season due to long-term injuries to James and Chilwell.

Friendly reminder to all to put your predictions in.

They surely can close gap and have place in the Champions league. It still too early to say but City is not going to make easy for any team to have their title race. I hate City but I can not stop watching Haaland.

I lost interest to pay close attention to the poll. It's just not going the way I am expecting. Unless there are some big rounds from me, I am going to stay at the bottom LOL

This week starts with the 2 games of tonight. While for Brighton I do not doubt a convincing victory I want to talk about Palace vs Wolves more.I think the odd of Palace is really good at 2.20 while we know that Wolves has not a scored a goal in open play since September 3rd because in the last game they just scored from the penalty spot.

I know that you all think like I do that Palace is a boring team but despite being a boring team they have real chances to win against Wolves tonight with a fantastic odd which I think everyone of us should take advantage from.

Week 12 matches begin tomorrow!

Thanks for the reminder ! gotta redeem myself as I bounced from 10th to 20th place with only 5.5 points for the week.

TBH, i do not think that they are capable to do that
I would like to see Arsenal with a trophy, so much memes around them and EL lately,

If I really have to pick another team to win the EPL this season, that would have been Arsenal for sure. Its almost 20 years from the last time they won the Premier League trophy so I totally would love them to win although City is looking much more promising but its a whole year season and Arsenal could probably do it somehow
