It is a horrible day for me because I'm about to finish the day with 0 points in case the matches end like this. I picked a win for Chelsea by 2-1 but they are the losing side by this score at the moment.  Grin  Actually Manchester United were able to defeat Southampton last week. And Southampton were lacking the skill of scoring goals despite finding many critical chances. I expected a similar scenario in this match too. But Chelsea are having a really bad day.

However I see that all the people in the pool are getting 0 point if this match ends up with this score. Therefore it's still not bad for me.  Grin

It is funny.Today I won some extra money in slots and made three single bets,a Chelsea win,a Leeds win and a Crystal win, both of my bets are losing and I am also getting 0 points from the predictor with such results.I don't know what I was thinking when I did bet on these teams but they were the only teams playing tonight in a strong tournament like the Premier League,in fact I should have expected a Chelsea lost game because they lost 3-0 to Leeds not long ago and now they are doing it again.I wish I continued to play the slots at least there I would not get mad even when I would lose everything as they are games of luck, never again touching betting here in Premier League although there is time for the results to change (extremely extremely highly unlikely).

Man, I knew it was coming but come on, who's better than Parker now to take over? 9-0 is always an abnormality, Liverpool only had 14 shots on target, in the same week we had Bayern register 19 and only score 1, I've definitely seen enough Liverpool games with over 15 shots on target and no goal.

It's not just unfair, it's criminal. Arsenal league leaders. City defending champions. Liverpool went all the way in every competition. You ARE supposed to lose to them.

Anyway I'm being dumb, feel like there are going to be draws tonight but I've gone for wins/losses in all of them here and in betting. See if I change my mind.

I really can't make clear cut decision too, I don't have any bet on tonight except on Chelsea to win, and I curious If I haven't made a mistake, Reece James is missing out totally tonight but perhaps Sterling can continue from where he left of during the weekend. I really don't know what to make of the three other matches of tonight, I strongly feel like one or two of it might play out to be a draw, but I have gone with Crystal Palace, Brighton and Everton, while I'm thinking of changing mind regarding Everton, perhaps I might settle for a draw or go for Leeds, they've been doing better compared to Everton.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Some more stupid decisions from the clubs.

United bought Anthony from Ajax for 100M, looks quite ridiculous when you compare it to City that paid less than 80M for Haaland and Alvarez. Then you add Martinez transfer for another what was it 70M and I am thinking they are laughing their asses off in Ajax for their negotiations with United.

Scott Parker is the first sacked manager this season after 3 consequtive losses. Seems quite unfair when you take into account that he lost against City, Arsenal and Liverpool after winning against Villa. What did they expect in Bournemouth? 10 points from those first 4 games? Much stronger teams would have same points with maybe a bit better goal difference.

I know that trigger was historical 9:0 loss but I still belive it is a bit unfair to Parker. He had thoughest possible fixtures in those 3 game weeks.

Yup, totally unfair...  But I guess what might have given Scott Parker the sack is how Bournemouth lost to Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool.  It was 4 - 0, 0 - 3 and an embarassing 9 - 0 which, as you said, was what prolly got the club owners or whoever really frustrated.

I was thinking the first to get the sack is Hasenhuttl since word was going around that he lost the dressing room.  It's a shame if they do sack him.  He's a good manager if given the right budget.  He did pretty good with RB Leipzig imho.

It's crazy but I believe the lower clubs are so making the most of such deals when the big guns feel they can always come at their convenience to lure out the clubs best assets, these clubs are also standing their ground and at least making the clubs over pay, Imagine the fee Wesley Fofana commanded to complete a move to Chelsea who had just let Rudiger and Christensen left on free transfer at the end of the just concluded season, but the desperation of the big teams will always work in favor of the lower clubs.

Another week, another chance for everyone of us to improve the rankings.I don't know how teams will behave at this midweek games because they just played on Saturday and now they are playing again today which does not leave a lot of room for rest, maybe the teams will not be in their 100% ideal form but I am confident they will because the Premier League and other England leagues are well  used to such tight schedules. There are quite some games today so don't forget the predictions, one missing day of predictions can prove devastating for anyone at this time.

The teams have been performing quite strangely at the beginning of the season. I lost several bets. Most of my predictions are not completely accurate. It was unexpected that Manchester City would share points with the likes of Newcastle. Liverpool has disappointed me in several matches. And scoring 9 goals against Bournemouth, it was even more unexpected. West Ham's performances were good last season, but have won just one match this season. No team's performance is stable. Making predictions in such a situation is very risky

We are in the pool so we are forced to make predictions because we lose several valuable points if we don't.We have the option to refrain from betting if we want but I think Premier League is the best league for this reason, you can win big in betting or lose big in betting by doing sport betting at this league.I think right now the favorites maybe will not win all again as this does not make any sense for this league, nevertheless I put my predictions for the favorites to win their games tonight.

Congrats to LTU_btc for being the round 4 yellow cap holder, missed it by 0.5 points thanks to kane getting his second goal which I did not want  to see Roll Eyes looking forward to more of such game weeks Tongue
First time I've seen anything like this with 10 people missing the Yellow Cap by 0.5 points
Damn, that was close, I also can't remember anything similar. Now after I already won yellow cap, I already can say that season is good for me Cheesy.

Guys, don't forget to make predictions, we have midweek round starting on Tuesday.

Newcastle.. so close yet so far. This table is shaping up to be super interesting, Arsenal to lift the trophy in the end? Cheesy

Arsenal had an easy start schedule, but they are playing good football, and I would like to see them at CL spots, at least

City will probably make an easy title catch this season, but there will be a great fight for CL spots

expected Newcastle to win this round, and they can generally join CL fight, IMO, seeing what Chelsea and United are capable of
Give Caesar what is rightfully his!

Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Bournemouth, and Fulham are all easy games for you, so I'm not surprised. I'm not an Arsenal fan, but the Gunners are in great form right now, winning games and playing beautiful football. There are no small clubs in the EPL; every game is a battle.

I'm not impressed with Newcastle's transfer; they're not ready to be considered a big team; one expected a team overhaul when the new owner took over, but nothing significant has happened yet. Their goal for this season is to survive

Why was everyone fcking good on week 4? Made about 15 points and I'm still out of top 10.  Cheesy

Bloody Newcastle. I swear they look great against City, yet still manage to lose, and then look lost. Although, in their defense they were missing a lot of their first team players this time around. On the other hand, Liverpool have finally turned up to a game of football this season, the great news is some of our injured players are starting to come back or are close to coming back. I believe Matip is now training with the squad, so shouldn't be too long where we have a first team back four. Not sure how far Konate is off at the moment.

I'm waiting for Jota to come back the most though, we need his threat despite the 9-0 win. Jota is just one of those players who can play subpar, but can get you that decisive goal. I'm feeling optimistic looking at Cities performances, despite winning them they've looked questionable at times. Obviously, no more questionable than Liverpool have, however I take a little confidence that it's obvious why we've had problems with the amount of players we've had out.

In terms of the leader boards, I'm definitely performing how I'd expect, rather poorly. I'm hoping once I suss out team forms, and where teams are with their new signings I start to pick more consistently.

It was a good week for me in the pool. I have gained five positions in the standings and being only five points behind the leader makes me feel good. If Tottenham were able to win 3-0 then things would have been nicer but Kane's missing that penalty blocked the way for me.  Grin Still having only two wrong predictions is good for the week I think. Even they wouldn't be wrong if Aston Villa scored a goal and Wolves won by 2-1.

This is only the beginning of the season of course. We have a long way to go so everything can change very often in the coming weeks.

Yeah, it was great week for me too all round but it really could have been better because I got points in all of the first 7 fixtures and I got zero point in two of the last three matches, but an exact point between Nottingham Forest and Tottenham was able savage the round better for me, I was able to go quite a number of place in the leaderboard as well.

Good round to everyone, this has been a tighter season than before I believe mainly due to the fact that there are so many, and more experienced players.

10 players in 2nd place! High scoring round too but sorry for Liverpool people who picked 4/5 0 and still got same as us all lol. Nice job LTU_btc.

I thought the same for Newcastle, judging from the great performances so far from them and from the poor performances of Wolves I did put them as winners in the predictor.

I bet on Wolves win, 2-1, and wrong too. And yet, 19 people from our pool made a perfect pick, earning 3 points with that, and 3 others predicted 0-0, which was close. Good job, guys!

Also I never thought a West Ham win would be possible but they did it finally and got out of the last place in the standings, they even had a very good odd to bet on them at 4 which I think very very few people did.

And here I was among those few predicting West Ham win:

Very proud of myself. Smiley

If only Nottingham held on to that 0-1 scoreline it would've been a nice recovery for me to end the round but still happy with how it ended. I had a bad start going down almost 10 spots at the start of the round and then going back up a few spots thanks to that draw on the Newcastle game.  Tongue

That was the only 3 pointer for me in this round

so I can't remain silent about it. Smiley

I see now the reason despite getting an exact score on Tottenham didn't help me much and I am still left in the 27th place. It is the first time I see that many people that made those high scores in a single round,I never saw it before in the last two seasons that I have played here,so this truly shows that this time we are a lot of people and quite some of us are doing fine with great results already,I am still happy though that despite being 27th I am just 7 points away from the 1st place and tomorrow we start a new round.
