9 points from 6 games, we've already dropped almost half the average points a title winner has in the past 5 or 6 campaigns, so this doesn't bode well unless we pull another string of impossible wins... not with the squad we have now and the way we're playing. Can't put a finger on it, is it an insistence to stick to 4-3-3 when we don't actually have the personnel?

Can't remember having such a bad start for such a long time. Definitely needed more physical players, even Milner to start earlier should have been better, young guns are exciting but pretty flimsy in midfield. Lamps would feel the happier man with this draw, and this is going to really bite on the players later.

The last woodwork LOL
As I said today man of the match is woodwork. Everton shot one and Liverpool had three if I am not wrong.
It's is going to be difficult for us if we keep losing the points. City is not going to lose or draw many matches. Arsenal looks good in this campaign.
Interestingly, Klopp seemed happy with the result.

^  Yeah..  I didn't see the goal as I was replying to Welsh with the post below.  But it looks like there's VAR.

Edit:  Ah...  Offside.  My bet is still good.  Lmao.  Thanks refs.

What's wrong with Klopp's boys?  Seems like they're playing like they're against Man United or something.  I didn't think this derby would be very intense but it is rn.  Cheesy  And what's the matter with the ref?  There's like a couple of fouls on Liverpool that didn't get a call..  There should've been a free kick for Everton around the 20th minute.

Edit:  Omg...  Everton might get a goal in with how the match is playing out.  :/  Not good for me.
At this rate, three's going to be multiple injuries. That's the problem with letting the game run, it basically gets harder, and harder until the ref puts his foot down. Now we've already got one injury with Fabio. As for our performances, I know we've got injuries, but we should be performing better than we're. So, honestly I'm really not sure why we just aren't up to our usual standards. I was quite excited about that young midfield, but I guess in a physical game like derby you want more robust players than Fabio, and Elliott, although the latter of the two is having a decent game.

I feel like we're missing Robertson in this game, and obviously Thiago for unlocking defenses.

^  It's not about the injuries or who's missing.  It's just I feel like Liverpool is playing angry out there or uptight.  I can't quite put my finger on it but judging from optics alone, they didn't look good in the first half.  The second half is much better...

And OMG OOOOOOMMMGGG Everton just scored one in.

Edit:  Anyway, yeah...  I was also about to say that Everton have their moments in the match too.

Edit:  That was red imho.

Another stressing Liverpool match. So far 0 - 0. Woodwork is man of the match today LOL
If Everton wins then it will be their first win after last 12 years. And fucking they are 0 - 1 ahead.

Update: Thank god it was an offside 🤣

I picked a Liverpool win by 2-0 for the Merseyside derby.

However Liverpool's performance hasn't looked satisfying so far. Maybe they have the most ball possession and they seem to be in control of the game. However they still couldn't score any. I didn't understand why Klopp didn't prefer Firmino instead of Nunez. Firmino has been on fire recently. He scored 3 goals and made 3 assists in his last two games. He is like a shining star of the team but he isn't in the starting eleven somehow today. Maybe we can see a move from Klopp to replace Nunez with him earlier in the second half.

Even though Liverpool are in a much better shape than Everton, things can really change when it comes to derbies like this. Hopefully Liverpool will make up for this performance in the second half.

Evertom vs Liverpool is a wierd derby always. Always low amount of goals and not good football on this match between these two teams. With how Liverpool is glitching i dont know what to expect from them. Leicester keeps on selling for huge bags but dosent buy anything, just greedy
Everton have sat back a lot in recent years, and usually been on the receiving side of late goals. This time is different, their defense isn't all that great, and their strikers aren't strikers that can make something out of nothing. Honestly, this is probably the most confident I've been in a few years, apart from last season. However, we've obviously been in rather poor form as well. I do believe Nunez is available to be selected now, it'll be interesting to see what Klopp does.

My gut feeling is he benches him.

i would stay away from liverpool. The 9-0 was a glitch in the matrix, they didn't look sharp against The Magpies (and they looked very poor against Palace and Man Utd), Champions league starts next week so maybe Klopp will finally rest some players. Also, infamous Anthony Taylor will be the ref [1] so Everton could get away with murder in this game lol

Tbf, Leicester sold a fridge for 80M to Man Utd a few years ago and they recently performed a daylight robbery by selling Fofana for another 80M. The Foxes, masters of their craft, will sell this nobody for 60M-100M and there's nothing we can do about it   Wink Grin
Haha we pay only £69+ ads on for Fofana! Not up to 80m
£70 million. 80 million EUR... it's a big gamble. Fofana doesn't have Champions League experience, he doesn't have national team experience and he has less than 40 appearences in the premier league. Overpriced. Leceister can't keep getting away with it 😳

Out of first five match two draws, one lose. Tomahawk9 can say whatever he wants too, we still have a long way to go 😉
I am going for a win for the boys tomorrow and this should not be a hard one but again we never know. Against Newcastle all of us were convinced that we were not going to win the match that one point is enough but that lucky incident for Fabio Carvalho saved us from losing point.

Ten Haag would have felt better with the team's 3rd consecutive victory, but there is still sh*t load of work to be done, you wouldn't say they were head above all hills the better side in those games, with those lone goal wins over extremely struggling sides ? it better shouldn't get into his head just yet because reality might dawn on him way sooner again.

Yeah pretty much all those 1-0 from the last two games totally show that we are still lacking while Arsenal have won 5 times in a row and scored 13 goals so far. Well atleast my concern now only lies on wether Manchester United would win or not against Arsenal, back then I always have my concern on wether Maguire would do shit tons of mistake to make the team looks like some sort of clown  Roll Eyes

At the very least, possibly a draw against Arsenal though

However Liverpool's main problem can be related to Mane's leaving the team. Because he was like the mainstay of the team. He was helping the team in the midfield and attacking line both and playing a big role in scoring many goals. It is difficult for Elliott to fill his place of course and I wonder if we will see any move from Klopp in January. It depends on whether the team start being consistent until then.
Nah, it's the injuries. Diaz, and Elliott as you mention have actually stepped up. Currently Salah is struggling to be at his best because he's getting marked out of the game. Of course, I miss Mane, but I think we have good enough players to replace him. I'll always have fond memories of Mane though.

I doubt we'll get anyone in the winter transfer window, unless the right player comes up on the market, which doesn't look likely at this point in the season.

Liverpool is going to win this,Everton is one of the teams with some very poor performance so far and most points they have got is because they have been lucky and not because they have deserved them.Liverpool is of another quality despite having not the best of the starts to the season so I think the player difference will make an impact in tomorrow game and we will see an easy win from Liverpool.

In paper we have some easy games for tomorrow for the favorites,Liverpool as said should win,so it should Tottenham and Manchester City and also Chelsea want to start winning again against West Ham tomorrow. The most interesting game is Manchester United vs Arsenal on Sunday.

Who exactly is Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall? Oh my goodness! I thoroughly enjoyed his performance last night; Leicester City's scouting is excellent. They will extract €100m from this guy in 2-3 years.

He's a product of their academy, he's been there a while already.
Occasionally he does well and has a good game, but overall I don't expect him to be a player that will bring them insane money. I actually don't even feel that he will be a part of their first 11.

He's already 24 years old, hasn't been capped for England on any level and last season he had his first PL season, in which he was mediocre at best.

Oh, I didn't watch him last season, and based on the performance I just saw, the person competing with him must be very good, is it Albrighton? And, while 24 is still a young age, Vardy became a world-class player at 28 and earned his first England cap that same year, and with the current insane market, he could have one good season and attract a lot of top clubs. Leicester City is known for making a lot of money off of player sales after only 1-2 good seasons.

P.S. Having a lot of caps does not make you a good player; Maddison is better than Mount and most of England's midfielders, but he gets very few chances. Most of the time, it's all about the coach.

I thought I was doing really badly actually, well okay I am lol but am really surprised to see last season prize winners below me. Has the scene flipped, like Leicester and Liverpool now bottom half of the table?

But don't worry guys, just kidding, I know things will turn around.

Derby I think Everton only won it once in modern times during Liverpool's injury season. This looks like close to another injury season except they have van dijk.

There's just been some really unexpected/unpredictable results. Most of the big teams have had terrible starts, though Liverpool and Man U look to have turned that around now. Ronnie is staying until at least January now so I'm sure they'll start playing him instead of benching him. There's usually always some bad starts with a bit of rust to shake off but none that have been as bad as this in recent memory.

Liverpool started to try Harvey Elliott in the midfield. He is only a 19-year-old player but he is a wonderkid at the same time. He scored one goal in 5 league games so far. Apart from that, I really like his performance recently. He is playing an important role in the development of dangerous attacks. He has a nice technic too which would be useful for the team. For example his goal against Bournemouth was really spectacular.

As far as I know Arthur to Liverpool is dine deal. Not much of singning probably but I guess slow start to the season and lots of injuries forced their hand and they bought what they could in last minutes.

Don't expect him to play much but he is one more option for the rotation when needed.

Liverpool is winning against Everton on weekend, right? Everton never looked weaker but this is Merseyside derby so who knows.
Yeah, just seeing it now. Loan. Probably to plug the gap with the injuries, and see if he does rediscover some of his previous form. I do believe he was quite promising at some point in his career, I can't say I've seen much of him though.

Yeah, I'm quite confident we'll beat Everton. They don't have the players they had last season, and they were god awful last season. We might be absolutely awful right about now, but I'm still confident of winning by at least two goals, and keeping a clean sheet. I'd like to see Matip start to better our chances of a clean sheet though, and hopefully get him match fit with a relatively easy opponent. Of course though, stranger things have happened.

I think the situation of midfield in Liverpool is not the best. Probably that’s why they wanted to have some more reinforcement in that area. This is a good signing on loan.
Liverpool is a good team and even though they did not start the season as they probably would have wanted I think they are going to improve going forward.
So him being in the team and if he can play quite often I think he will be able to get back to form. Not the best signing but I would say not the worst as well Smiley.

Everton has ever looked weaker after the genius Moyes left the club.  They used to be a consistent midtable club finishing likely at 5th - 7th in most of their seasons under Moyes...  At least that's how I remember it.  But yeah, they're definitely losing against Klopp's guys and maybe even losing with the opposing side getting s clean sheet.

The team totals for Everton, under 0.5 goals is at 2.22.  What do you guys think?  It seems like there's a little bit of value there...  I mean could Everton really get one in?  Are Liverpool's CB's really performing that poorly?
I can't quite remember, but there was one point where I was a little bit worried about how they were putting things together. They signed James Rodriguez, and a few other players that really did stamp down some authority. The only problem with that was it was mismanaged from the get go, and they never really gained much from spending all that money. Obviously, they've paid the price of a massive outlay like that, and are probably still somewhat recovering from it.

I still think Everton will be playing for their survival in the Premier League at the end of the season. They might be lucky because teams like Bournemouth at the moment look absolutely shocking. As well as Leeds, and Leicester.

Not against this Liverpool, they look really bad in defense and more or less every team scored against them. It is derby game and Everton will give their best to trouble the reds. I can see them even scoring first and then Liverpool turning the screw and winning later on.
