I personally think that they'll do well against The Saints and there is a glimmer of hope for them to get to the top so I doubt that they are going to lose either way. Aside from that Southampton only won once over the last 10 EPL games so I guess it should be another 3 points for Liverpool unless they pretty much screw this one up

Now they'll need to depend on Tottenham to lose an already relegated Norwich

Good chances for Son to score few more goals to outlead Salah

Arsenal have probably just by themselves decided that they don't want to play in the Champions League yet ?

I mean losing to Tottenham seem quite understandable, but getting outplayed by Newcastle in a much needed win is something I don't understand. Now they'll need to depend on Tottenham to lose an already relegated Norwich while they'd need to win against a highly desperate Everton in the last game ? what are the chances ? I'd say none!

some things are just hard to get out of Arsenal. whenever it matters, they fall apart and lose the matches they would otherwise always win.
it happens to them every season, despite changing managers and bringing expensive players. in the finish, they entered with the best chances to be in the top 4, but they did themselves the biggest harm.

It might be a historic year, not just for Liverpool, but for any English club.

Well actually the fun thing about the next game of City vs Aston Villa is that, thats Gerrard's team right now. Imagine that somehow Gerrard win the next game against City which leads to Liverpool winning the EPL, that would have been historic for Liverpool. A living legend of Liverpool has the chance of helping his former club win the EPL, well it would be hard for Villa to actually win in an away game against City  Roll Eyes
a lot of focus on Man City v Villa but no talk about Liverpool's must-win game tomorrow. No VVD, no fabinho and no Salah, plus the rest of the starting 11 are coming from a 120-minutes thriller just three days ago... Klopp's side have the momentum on their side, but the Saints are no strangers to upsets at St. Mary's, Arsenal andr Man City know a thing or two about it this season 🤔

thoughts?
True all that but Saints are out of form and playing for nothing. I believe that no matter what line up Liverpool uses they will have more then enough quality to win that game.

Arsenal starting in 15 minutes against very good Newcastle side. This is must win for them since Spurs are piling up the pressure. Should be a good game with couple of goals in it. My bet is on both to score @1.8.

We might be making the mistake of overlooking it. However, our team should be able to beat them without those players. The biggest loss for this game being Fabinho to stop the counter attacks. VVD probably isn't needed, and having Matip, and Konate is pretty damn good back up cover. Meanwhile, Salah hasn't been at his best, and quite frankly I believe we may have been playing better without him on the pitch recently, which is a little crazy to say. Maybe, not better, but at times he has tried to do too much, which just ends up causing frustration.

I'm probably as confident as I can get against Southampton. Although, I'm worried about Romeu potentially injuring our players. I just want a clean bill of health going into that Champions League final. Salah, and VVD should be back, as they were small knocks according to what I was reading earlier.

I think that Premier league is the only league in the world, where there is no playing for nothing
look at last round, Brighton and Brentford do not have much to play for, and they gave hard time to both Leeds and Everton, which would be much different in all other leagues, do not want to mention Calcio or La Liga, but even there

nevertheless, Saints are down, and I do not expect much from them, but they will not surrender before the start
That is also true, Premier League clubs always fight to the last minute no matter the stakes but I don't think it will matter that much since there is a big qoulity gap between these two clubs and Saints aren't a team that can defend whole game and get to the points that way.

Calcio still gets odds @2 for draws in last game week when draw is good enough for both sides. There are never odds like that for draws in PL.

Everton look to be surviving despite the result yesterday. Leeds have got Brentford next which is a must win, not sure they will though. Even then, Everton have two games to get something from. Burnley have probably the hardest fixtures left, so unless something crazy went on, I'd see Everton surviving. They did kick into gear the last few games though, so they probably do deserve it, I'll give them that.

not sure, but I think that Palace is a key match for Everton, looking at last match with Arsenal, I do not see a chance there
nevertheless, win over Palace has to come

Leeds beating Brentford will be surprise few rounds ago, but in the last round, I expect a win from Leeds
Burnley can take points against Villa, and last round should be a win over Newcastle, I can see them staying in the league prior to Leeds

Bloody West Ham giving me more hope than I should have right now. I know I said that I expect City to drop points in the last two games, but now its actually happened, I'm starting to believe again, which usually sets you up for disappointment, especially when I look at that Spurs game, and how we should've probably won it with better finishing.

I actually think Aston Villa can get a point from that game. They will need to be up for it in defense, but I know they'll get their chances. I'd love to see Coutinho, and Ings lighting up City, but a draw will do. Then it's entirely in our hands with our game in hand. We win the next two games, and City drops points. It might be a historic year, not just for Liverpool, but for any English club. Quadruple is still on, and I can't believe it after that Spurs result, and how City basically went on a goal fest.

Leeds brought me up, jinxed for Everton to avoid relegation, but we are as shit
it is hard to believe that we are down against Brentford at home, after having lead on half-time

obviously, it will be up to Leeds, not us, we could secure next season with a win over Brentford, but playing shitty is the least what I can say for our play
there is one more chance against Palace, and Brentford against Leeds in last round (but they obviously have greater motivation against us)

I could understand if this was the final game of the season and you must do everything possible to win, including rough challenges.

But this is the 2nd last game to go,,, and it is Brentford, why they had to go like that after such a great win, Lampard is becoming like Arteta now unable to control his player discipline.

Those draws destroyed me too and pushed me back some couple of positions,I differently from you play for nothing so it didn't do me any bad but I think any position you go down in the top 10 it is a lost amount of money especially now that only one week remains.

City just sparked some really light hopes of Liverpool who can give another final assault but it will be very difficult for them to win the title as I highly doubt that Manchester City will make another mistake in their last game.

Yeah, it's just way too tight up here and if I'd just gone for a few more draws overall, I'd be okay. Then again, picking a side to win's also helped me in the beginning, right now it's pure luck the way top 5 are separated by mere points.

The title's been City's to lose as soon as they pipped Chelsea for the lead, more or less the story of the past 5 seasons -- cept the one where we ran away with it. We're still more likely to drop points in the last 2 games than they are in their last, so yeah, it's going to be a miracle for them to lose it on the last day. Nice thing about leagues in Europe is every last game is played on final day.

Been a while since we seen an Aguerooooooo... might the stars align?

Let's imagine West Ham 1 - 0 after full time and City draw against Villa. 🤣

Lifeline Liverpool. Thought Hammers were well worth a win, actually had the better chances in second half too... Bowen side netting to fall short of a hattrick and Antonio missing the 1v1... Convert those and I do not think City would have found a way through. Still, we need to win against Saints and Wolves, and hope Gerrard pulls of a famous assist for his old club. Coutinho too, hopefully, at least City were made to sweat and we do have a final day sprint if we take points from Southampton...

Game on. But too many draws hurt me in this pool... Well done casper!

I had to choose one I would be on Everton to win against Brentford, knowing that Brentford has not that great of a record when not playing at home.

I would chose Brentford as well, since win over Brentford would give hard time to Leeds and Burnley
if we do not win that one, pressure before Palace would be intense, and last match with Arsenal is hardly a straw, and Burnley and Leeds would have more motivation for their matches, in case we do not win

Burnley is still on draw against Tottenham

15 minutes in and Spurs have forced 3 saves, 90% possession, corners, 6 shots, what you got, you name it, they are doing it. Burnley's got to be going down if this continues. As it is, I'm switching off for chores, that was some adrenaline rush, back to see Hammers... hammer City. The dream must go on ha ha.

Son, Kane, Davies all taking turns... leea if your boy takes the Golden Boot, I have to say he deserves it man. Salah will too if he ends up with it, but you have plenty of admirers in this pool from Liverpool supporters!

You can imagine what kind of fantasies I had about Spurs in Champions League until we met you guys, and you can imagine how much I am fantasising now that Arsenal and Chelsea will continue to lose,,, while Son scores a hattrick to overtake Salah total and win golden boot on last day.
One goal in it. Very possible, considering the form that Salah has been in recent, and by that I don't mean he's playing bad, just not scoring as much. Still getting those assists in. Honestly, this is why I think Son has been criminally underrated for most of his career. Dare I say it, if he was at another club, he might get recognised a lot more for the quality player that he is. I'd have him in a heartbeat.

Son is even more impressing in this golden boot situation, since Salah has scored a couple of his goals from penalties, which I don't think Son takes pens right? It would be Kane? I know Ronaldo has also been doing pretty well, considering the team he is playing in.

Son does not like to take penalties correct Smiley If Kane is injured even it was Dele Alli, now he left I am not sure who but in cup games even Reguilon took penalties before Son.

I have been saying this about Son for a long time,,, even much more so than Harry Kane. Which is of course not something to complain about or say is unfair since he is captain of England squad and well he is English and he should gather the admiration of all. Son is something special and typical hardworker, and if you see his interviews in Asia, he is like the most humble kid.

Most rich or educated Koreans avoid national service also,,, in fact most countries here national service is always somehow exempt for the rich or famous, but Son is one of the few who did not deny it and went full.
