Chelsea to top the league table either half of the season! @$50 who says No!?

I would probably take this bet, but I still don't totally understand the exact definition; what I only understand is that you're not saying Chelsea to top the table at any point of the season. But either half of the season is going to be a bit tricky bet to explain.

Is it that after 19 games have been played each, Chelsea should be top of the table, if they're not, will the 2nd half of the season considered as a different 19 games ? or will the final standing at the end of the season be put into consideration, because it is quite possible for a team to not be at the top of the table on either half of the season as my first two scenario states and end up as the league champion.
It means they are expected to lead the league at some point during the season before the completion of the 38 games. Given that the majority of pundits predicted they would finish outside the top 4 next season. It's a risky bet but I believe in the team I support.

Ronaldo and Salah to score over 15.5 goals!! Who's ready to bet against?

Both players would probably score at least 5 penalties each, that you leaves you with 11 goals, I'd also take such bet for both of them score at least that amount of goals provided they play at least 70% of the full season, in case of an unfortunate long term injury. I think it will be fair to draw your numbers from a specified sportsbook to get an informed guess of what the fair lines should be, I'm sure most of the bookies would have no more than a margin of +/- 1.5 goals for approximately the same odds, that'd be better than just drawing random values/lines.

Might as well specify the cup or league, would end up confusing. Here is my offer for now.

I would take Spurs to finish above Chelsea for 3/1. Since Chelsea are rated 3rd favourite to win title, seems good value for whoever wants that.

2mbtc, any takers?
No way!! This is something I'd like to do; we're fucking bad, but NO way Spurs of Conte will finish above us this season. So, someone is going to quote this post, right? Is this the standard procedure?

Just to be clear, that means I'm backing Spurs to finish above Chelsea for the 22/23 EPL season, with a 2mbtc stake at 3/1 odds.

If I lose, I pay igehhh 2 mbtc. If I win igehhh pays 4 mbtc.

No man! That's cheating, hahaha! Why include the odds when we are going offline to wager? While you are certain that Spur will finish ahead of Chelsea, I am certain that Chelsea will finish ahead of Spurs! It's fair that you pay me 2 mbtc if I win and I pay 2 mbtc if I lose.

Well, I figured now that Mane's gone.. Grin
There's also no African cup this season.

Fair argument though, but if the margin was set to 20 I'd bet on over.

@cryptofrka no one's taking over 25 goals for Salah haha. Over/Under 20 would be a much more reasonable bet for even money (to me) Wink

both of you, are you sure that Liverpool will take 2nd (or even 1st) place? why not 4th or lower?

it seems to me as well that Liverpool could finish outside of top2, but it is hard to predict who will be above them in the end (except City, they will win easily, IMO)

Arsenal looked great against Chelsea, but it is friendly and does not mean a lot, but could indicate that they could finish top4 this season

maybe United is that missing piece, you never know with them, just looking at 2020/21

To complicated, I am not for those bets that aren't clear to grade. Imagine following sitation. Chelsea finishes 4th in the league, Spurs 3rd, but Chelsea exits CL in semi final and Spurs exit in quarter final. Let's say they both sides do equally well in domestic cups. Who had better season? It could be even more complicated.

Same goes for any bets that aren't even odds. I am up only for even odds, easy to grade stuff for these side bets.
If Spurs finish 3rd and Chelsea finish 4th, but both exit the Champions League (round doesn't matter), we can happily say Spurs had a better season than Chelsea. However, if Chelsea won a domestic cup and finished lower in the league than Spurs, we can all agree that Chelsea had a good season. Is everything clear now?

I like the idea of buwaytress; pick a side and let's make a deal because you're sure Chelsea won't do well next season.

You don't need anybody else to quote you guys. You quote each other and nobody can change the post later. But here I quoted it for extra security as well.

I already offered you a bet similar to what buwaytress did. I just chose two sides (Spurs & Arsenal) and said if one of them finishes above Chelsea I win but I gave you even odds while buwaytress gave you 3/1. I am not sure who will do great I just feel that Chelsea will disappoint and there isn't single club that is worth taking for even odds. Liverpool and City are much bigger favorites so it wouldn't be fair to you.

I can also offer it the other way around. If Chelsea finishes above Liverpool or City you win at even odds.

Don't want to take other competitions in consideration. That complicates it way too much.

Anybody thinking Salah going over 25 goals this season?

I'm willing to bet he goes under, so if somebody's taking this let me know. 2mBTC or around that, or we can make 50$ in BTC at the last day of the season.

I don't like first 2. How many teams qualifies for CL? 4 or 5. I am sure Chelsea can finish on 4th spot. The fight will be for that 3rd spot. I expect Arsenal to have good season but they will have their crises sooner or later and loose pace.

3rd one sounds ok if more successful season means just league standings. Let's word it as follows: "Chelsea to finish above Arsenal and Spurs in Premier League" for you to win the bet, otherwise I am winning. Even odds. I would make it 50$ rather then 100$ to make it more friendly but if you want 100 it is ok as well. If you are in just quote this part of the post and choose stake.

I want to be very clear! If Chelsea ends the season with a trophy and Spurs/Arsenal end the season above Chelsea on the table , can we say Chelsea had a more successful season? Trophy>position

$50 is fair enough.

But how then would you guys decide the winner, If Arsenal wins the FA Cup and Chelsea win the Champions League and Tottenham with no trophy? or If Chelsea wins UCL, Arsenal FA Cup and Tottenham win Capital one cup ?
Since the three teams are playing European competitions I think we can all agree that the UEFA Champions League> league cups!! Right.

$100 ; Chelsea to qualify for the champions league next season?

$100; Arsenal not to qualify for top 4

$100; Chelsea to have a more successful season than Arsenal and Spur.

Your call?

You willing to put some money on that (20-50$)? Chelsea is listed as favorite for 3rd place at most bookies. I am giving you even odds that Chelsea finishes lower than that. So basically if Chelsea finishes 1-3 you win, if Chelsea finishes lower than that I win.

If you don't like that bet I am also giving you even odds that one from following 3 teams finishes above Chelsea: Spurs, United or Arsenal. Meaning any of them finish above Chelsea you lose.

And if you don't like either bet, hit me up with counter proposal or simply acknowledge that even you don't believe in Chelsea this season Smiley

If I had to pick one team that will underperform this season, it has to be Chelsea for me and I would not be surprised if they finish behind: City, LFC, Spurs, Arsenal and maybe even United.
Lol. Just one bad preseason game and you've already predicted the season's outcome; I told you Arsenal and Manchester United are preseason merchants; don't let their performance fool you into thinking they'll do well when the real business begins. I love that we are the underdogs this season; we always outperform when the rest of the world has little faith in us. We still have 92% of the squad that won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, World Club Cup, and qualified for two domestic cup finals, our transfers aren't going as well as we would like due to the takeover, we were behind every other team, and we started late. I don't care how poorly we perform this season; there is no way we are letting Arsenal and Manchester United top us.

Seems like we have a new resident knowledge-spewing guy in igehhh haha, well, I prefer when this thread has more character, almost at whatever the cost heh heh. Keep it up, but don't take it too personally Harkorede, I've been schooled on this thread perhaps by two guys too about Liverpool (no kidding) and it's cool. One isn't even playing in the pool boo, or at least never responded when I asked.
Haha, Harkorede is fcking good!! I tried to break him twice but his comeback were massive  Grin

I don't think anyone has ever said Chelsea or City's teams overperformed.

Spurs of Poch, Liverpool of Klopp, even of Rafa and Houllier, Arsenal of Wenger, plenty of times. Overperformers and always punching above their weight. Liverpool only got out of that stigma in the last season.
Chelsea under Mourinho outperformed Spurs under Poch, Arsenal under Wenger. Pep Guardiola of Manchester City is one of the most underrated in EPL history, with the club walking the league for the past five seasons.

If I had to pick one team that will underperform this season, it has to be Chelsea for me and I would not be surprised if they finish behind: City, LFC, Spurs, Arsenal and maybe even United.

I look back on my old thoughts about Arsenal and warned them whining fans that they'd long for Wenger back.
Maybe this season will be the one that shoots Arsenal among elite once again. They are looking very good with Jesus spearheading their attack and all those youngsters supporting him. I am a bit afraid for their defence when it comes out to stopping best teams but their attack should be among the best in the league.

I always had a soft spot for gunners and hopefully we will se something great from them this season. That being said Spurs also look great and we could have one hell of a season.

Who hasn't for Gunners?Even when we used to bet several years ago when Arsenal was under Wenger management and they were almost always at 4th place in the league,we used to bet a lot on them to win against Manchester United which was the dominant team at that times in Premier League,we loved Arsenal with Thierry Henry and company and I personally have won a lot of bets by betting on them even when they were not favorites.Unfortunately they are not the same anymore and I also truly hope this year this will change for good.
