I’m totally out of the running for the prizes this year (plays violin). I’m glad that sportsbet.io sponsored the pool though, with the opportunity of a free bet for the yellow cap each match week. It still keeps me motivated, now I’m off to put my predictions in.

I'm surprised a lot of people have already dropped out as everyone is still in with a chance of winning the yellow cap.

What is everyone's predictions on the Manchester City game? I think that could be the upset of the weekend, coming off international break, they wasn't playing great before that, the pressure is building up. Think they could easily drop points against a well drilled Burnely side.

I'm backing a comfortable City win but an upset wouldn't surprise me either, though Burnley did lose 2-0 to Brentford last and are on a three game losing stream. With that being said, City also drew with Palace so maybe another draw is on the cards. City can't afford to drop any points right now though. Liverpool are only a point behind them with a game in hand. The City/Liverpool game next week should be a great one to watch.

Still over 9 rounds to go i think you can try and maybe attack that 10th position, but for that you need to bet really different then others due and get a lot of correct results. At least try and be on top of each week to get the yellow cap. This pool is amazing because of the weekly prize and overall prize. Im still fighting hard for that 1st position but it will be extremely hard honestly.

Yeah, that's definitely the only times I've been annoyed at him -- even at setpieces he seems to lose his man a bit more than he should, but also feel that he and others out of position like that puts us in much better flow on the counter. In any case, Trent still so young, and blew me away this season with the way he actually found a way to improve. Can't get enough of him, really!
I never thought I'd find some one I enjoyed more than John Arne Riise in a wide defensive position, but both Robertson, and Trent have proven me wrong. Might be a little bias, but I genuinely believe they're the best in the world in their positions, and by quite some margin. Their assist numbers alone are crazy, and without both of them we wouldn't be competing with Manchester City at the top of the table.

The most dangerous time to bet on teams, especially if talking about teams like Spurs,,, we managed to put the balance of equal wins/losses into just over with our last win but now everything is wiped clean.

Still I have them to multibet with 2 goal handicap because I feel this team will do either very badly or very great. Hope to see the very good side.

Football is back!

Not dangerous I would say,Tottenham has screwed me basically during all my gambling history losing 99.99% when betting on them to win a game,I don't remember honestly where that 0.01% win is either.

Great to see real football back, first game is tomorrow,I think this week has a lot of games which in theory we could benefit from, the problem is I highly doubt this will happen for real.

Edit:The IQ questions have some flaws, the TAXI series from US I know for sure the first to be in the late 1970 and the later on the early 1980 so I answered 1980 and it got it wrong.

I know hes been pinged a few times for losing his man on the back post, and I think that criticism is probably the only valid one I've come across, the rest are comparing him to traditional right backs that have a load of time to position themselves, something that Trent due to his attacking style, doesn't have.

Anyway. Someone stop me from putting down too much on April 10... I see 35/10 on Liverpool and my betting click goes brrrrr....
If you're determined to sweat buckets, might as well put us down for a 1-0 win, in the second half. Potentially the biggest game of the season left, and you might as well enter heart attack city, if your going to watch it Cheesy.

I'm using up Boosts daily on punts like that, correct score wins so I can "cheer" every time we score. 0-0 at HT will not be fun for me. Praying I'll actually be at home to watch it. I've given the family early notice but real life always has other plans...

Bet against United (Leicester almost 6/1) and against City. One will hit.

P.S. I'm aiming for 0 IQ points.

I actually think Trent is fine defensively, so while I may have alluded to the criticism that he has received, I'm definitely not agreeing with it. I actually think the reason he appears to be bad at defending for anyone, but those watching the full game, is for him to be the creative outlay that he is, he has to be further forward than any other right back would ever dream.

Therefore, when his defensive criticism comes into play, its usually from him recovering from a position high up in the field. Of course, he's going to be a little bit rushed, and not have the best decision making. I know hes been pinged a few times for losing his man on the back post, and I think that criticism is probably the only valid one I've come across, the rest are comparing him to traditional right backs that have a load of time to position themselves, something that Trent due to his attacking style, doesn't have.

Man oh man guys. I've been suffering too Welsh, past couple of weekends nothing to cheer me up after dreary work weeks. Sure, there was sport, but just doesn't cut the same way.

Re Trent, it was some kind of disservice to talk about how poor he was at defending (yes it's sometimes true, but he more than makes up for it in attack and creativity)... but with all his improvements this season, it's criminal to still bring up the argument. He's already to me defensively a lot better than most of his peers in the league. Can't recall the precise games now but he was instrumental at least in keeping Inter at bay, Arsenal too (even though he lost most of his one on ones against Martinelli) -- I hate to bring up stats but he's sometimes ahead of even Walker or James at intercepts and successful tackles. Positioning will always suck but that's because of Klopp's demand -- he'll never improve that.

Don't know, we tend to lose a bit of our edge when we're missing Trent. Say what you will about his defensive fragility, going forward he's the best in his position, and I don't think its even close. The man could probably ping a pass on his weaker foot to the man on the moon.
I think you are even understating it. Trent is main spark of creativity in LFC squad helped along handsomely with Robertson on other side of the pitch. It is just the way Klopp builds the attacks. Usually it is a more working midfield that covers a lot of the pitch and helps defensibly but then he expects a lot in the attack of his full backs and he gets it.

I heard Trent is pictured training with the team so it is maybe even possible that he plays. I would still expect him to not start the game and maybe enter only if points get in question. It is season end so I am sure Klopp will not risk it before most important games when trophies are lifted.

I am going to bet on Liverpool personally as they have the easiest game of the week,I am going for a handicap of -2 goals for Liverpool meaning I think they will win with 3 goals difference or at least I will get my money back if they win by 2.Surely they will score a lot of goals and most probably not give that big of a damn for the Champions League game they have soon after,Premier League title is surely the most beloved trophy.

I also think that all other favorite teams will win their games but if it happens so that will be a very rare case of not having a surprise result in a round of Premier League matches,I highly doubt it will happen for real.

I honestly think Man City are going to struggle. I find that after internaitonal break players take a while to get into things, I'm not entirely sure why, that's partly the reason I'm expecting Liverpool to struggle. Normally I'd probably be predicting a 3-0/4-0 win.

There'll be another one in a few months with the Nations League haha.
Typical, that's not for two weeks is it? I bloody hope not. I almost feel lost, as I dedicate my Saturdays, and Sunday mainly to sports. Some Premier League, and UFC to top it off.

Would be nice to see Ronaldo, Messi, and Bale Wink in the world cup this time.

An Argentina V Portugal in the world cup final would be the best outcome. Put to bed the debate between Messi and Ronaldo at last. Will probably be Ronaldo's last world cup as he'll be 41 by the time the next one comes around. Messi might make it to another one as he's 34 right now but I could easily see those players playing longer than most and neither of them seem to be slowing down right now. Would've been pretty lame if Portugal didn't make it but they're through now.

We're back this weekend ladies, and gentlemen. Can't bloody wait, I hate the international break as much as anyone, as I've previously alluded too.

Now we have the first round after break and a lot of teams strugled to get again in shape. So lets see what pass.

yeah, both City and Liverpool are playing relegation fighters, and it is almost certain that it will be harder for them to get back into winning shape, than relegation teams, that did not had players going for international duties

will all said, it was a long time without Premier league, time to watch interesting finish

Some good matches, my first thoughts are a Liverpool win 2-0, think Watford might prove stubborn, and we'll be missing Trent one of our best creative players. Chelsea probably gets a win, and likely by at least a two goal margin, probably more like 3-0. Although, I'm not including Chelsea in my bets anymore, they've cost me a lot of money this season. Seriously, I was 2 of their games away from over 500k. Except, they decided to give away pens Cheesy.

The shock prediction from me will be Burnley will get at least a point from Man City. I'm thinking a 0-0 could be on the cards.

Yes man, i think all the gambling people hate the international break, but in this one at least we have match like paly off so a little bit interesting to see.

International breaks are a drag man, I really miss our Premier League football when we’re on a break. We’re just about to enter an epic title race run in so on second thoughts maybe I need to rest & get ready for the stress of that Cheesy

I agree with you, what a drag honestly i hate the international break we miss on so many good matches. Next week the premier league will be back and i cannot wait for it. The round will be really good and now its more intense then last year so many people are fighting for first place

Long time since I heard someone shouting like that in live feed.

Italy misses second World Cup in a row, will not sit well with the temperament people there.

yeah, reminded me on legendary Mladen Delic, when ex-Yu scored against Bulgaria for world cup qualifications some 35 years ago, minute was similar (90+)
but it will be tough against Portugal, nevertheless, there are chances for them

Poland and Sweden will be interesting, was unaware that it is playing on one match in this round, and earned on Sweden win

I watched it on with their commentator and he was crazy happy. Long time since I heard someone shouting like that in live feed.
Yeah, I can sometimes complain about the bias that we have with the Premier League commentating, then when your hear some of the non English feeds, they go absolutely bonkers. Although, it's nice to see some passion, I think some of our commentators have lost that, and if its not Manchester United or Manchester City, they barely react to goals.
I don't mind "realistic biased" commentators when national teams are playing. Odds are, 99% of viewers are cheering for that team anyway and it helps to build the mood. When clubs are playing it totally gets on my nerves if commentators are biased.

I added the world realistic cause I did not know how to call it. I mean I want commentator to cheer for our team but realistically acknowledge fouls, actions and all dubious situations. You can't yell on national TV that ref is blind if he doesn't give every throw in to our side  Grin
