more than happy with United lose, it is a great deal of points for Everton
Leeds knocking down Watford, means Watford is relegated, I think that they cannot get six points in last seven rounds, even if Everton lose all matches

but Burnley will be a "pain in the ass", hopefully Norwich will pull out draw with them tomorrow

I think i was one of the rare people in this round to go with everton draw and i was so close to winning it but stupid Man Utd couldnt score again and lost all points on that match. Also made a bad decision on Chelsea i dont know why i went with draw. So far a terrible round for me hopefully tommorow i get some good points. I need Norwich to win so that will be hard

Regarding today's game ...well , United were so bad that I'm surprised that everton didn't score more.
United loosing was surprising but Arsenal loosing at home against Brighton was even more surprising for me. Seems like Arsenal squandered their CL spot in last few games and they have same amount of points as Spurs. What is next Spurs loosing 3:0 to complete the trifecta for the day. If somebody walked away with money from bookies today...good job, it was basically impossible to navigate all the surprises. Atletico Madrid also lost to Mallorca.

I mean it's the Bookies' Saturday so far, Bayern also Barely won, a game I had handicapped at an end and Bayern to score at least 2 goals on another.

We could have argued the chances for Everton, but another loss from Arsenal leaves the mouth with a real sour taste.

Tottenham with an early lead, but Villa doesn't look to be backing down and have created more than enough chances to get back on level terms, all within the first 20 minutes.

@toma don't need to change your mind, we're on the same choir. No coach can change United, United need to change first. Mentally, and accept the truth of LvG when he said they're a commercial club first and foremost. Long may that be.

@boltz Now THERE is an original thought. They 100% need a Simeone, to never win, yet be in top 4 all the time and just play spoiler football. Love that idea. Too bad he's just not glamourous enough for the board to ever look up, nor the club darkhorse enough for Diego to consider.

Absolute misery for me so far this week. Credit to leea for daring to believe in Everton (casper, what happened to you??) and credit to tumi for getting 3 scores right in a weird, weird week. Now I guess Spur just need to lose to continue today's amazing crappola of a round.

Man United against relegation fodder this year,

Burnley 1-1
Watford 0-0
Everton 1-0

I doubt he can fix it. We already had a Dutch coach and it didn't work so well.

Personally, I think Simeone would fit very well to United but it's a very sensitive subject that most of the United fans don't want to discuss but with the current squad of United , Simeone could really bring United together and also we can see almost every week how he will annoy oter EPL teams  Grin.

That is why I'd always say that we are the underdogs - even against United and Chelsea, let alone City. But luckily for us, the real game is played on the pitch and not in financial analysis.

It was only the past couple of seasons we had better bookmaker odds than United, but we're never the favourites against City, or I don't remember it at all. Even against Chelsea it's always even more or less. Suits me, since it just means more winnings (except we've been drawing these teams more than winning recently ha).

Congrats to Fortebet and Tumi for taking first and second place. Now we have new leaders yet again after this Newcastle Wolves match. The pool is getting really intense now. Too bad Newcastle didnt score 1 more goal at least so that it could be even more intense.

It's a tough, tough game, and once more I paid the price for siding with the less-favoured team -- guess my gut's no longer good for trusting. Was always going to be a tight game but I honestly thought Newcastle were going to fumble.

Used to be only 10 points from 1st to 10th not too long ago. That lead's now 20 points. Incredible.

I don't think we're that much of a underdog are we? On paper maybe a little bit, but I'm not even sure in that. Form wise then I'd say Liverpool are looking much better coming into the game. We've had a few blips here, and there, however overall we've taken care of the business when needed. Man City have looked a bit out of ideas recently.

Nah, on the pitch I wouldn't consider us underdogs against any team in the world in our current form - City included.
What I meant is that City can afford players we cannot and that financially they do not work under the same limits that we are dealing with. If they see a 100 mil player requesting a 500k weekly contract and he fits their playstyle, they will be able to make that deal without any major issues.

Silly money on Liverpool for me! But the odds keep getting better and better for City (cries inside that bookies think we'll lose: 36/10 ML now, better odds for loss or draw).

@Welsh Wise to go conservative, let's assume Salah won't get over his burdens yet, and Klopp decides to rest key players, so yeah, best we can do is 3 goals, and a customary CB error to gift a goal.

OK, pretense over. I put Liverpool down for 3-0 and that may be naive, but this kind of game throws form out the window and I know despite everything said by players, both teams see this as the title decider, psychologically anyway. City can try play their possession game as much as they want, I actually love seeing Liverpool counter, Trent's at his best, Salah is due a goal fest, loves the big games, so does Mane really, and while Jota's been key to breaking down stubborn defences I'd love to see how he does on the big stage. Firmino is always my favourite guy up front and I bet you he's keen to show his mates up.

You're right, we used to pound them down to dust with the pressing, I forever remember Robbo chasing down players passing back all the way to the keeper, and the fear in their eyes, and I thought it would happen the last time too -- but our defence haha.

@LFC_Bitcoin I'm hoping good ol' Klopp plays both games with his best squad, I feel like we can afford to, with the Benfica result. I do feel your nerves but on the other hand, if we were to knock City out on all 3 fronts, it could be the hammer blow they may not know how to deal with for seasons to come. Klopp's proven his teams don't crumble from finishing second (all our lost finals, losing EPL by a point). It would be one hell of a crushing blow for a reigning champ to lose 2 finals and a title on 1/2 points.

P.S. was supposed to have a family thing this weekend and I have not once in 2+ years asked to prioritise my football (last time I did was UCL final haha).

Its only Friday, and I'm starting to feel a little anxious about the game, and the game is on Sunday! I'm confident, but you never know with City. I don't expect them to carry the form they've been in as of recent into this game though, they'll definitely be up for it. I see us getting pinned back a little in the early stages of the game, unless we can do what we did to them a few years back with our pressing. Although, I'm still going with my 3-1 prediction, I do think we'll need to weather the storm for the first twenty or so minutes.

If there's a God, he's for Liverpool for sure. He loves a good underdog Grin

~snip

City has the quality to play through our press though so I expect a fantastic, hig-scoring and nerve-wrecking game.

have to say that I expect low-scoring match, but certainly high-pressure from both sides
somehow, I do not see City as favorites

nevertheless, with all things happening, probably only for me in the pool, more important is match with other team from Manchester, where we are chasing to avoid relegation
it would be good if the God is there to support both teams from Liverpool

I'm fairly optimistic before the game. City is the best team in the world but we are as close to them as anyone can be and I feel we are in a better period and currently have more in-form options than them.
We will massacre them with our offensive game, we now have fresh legs to press throughout the whole 90 minutes and I expect we will put them under intense pressure from the off.

Feeling nervous about the weekend, I really hate playing Man City. The thing is we play them in a massive game Sunday, again in the FA Cup semi final & even then, there’s a good chance we both get to the CL final. Losing to them in the CL final would be sickening. It’s a great rivalry, must be fun for the neutral but I hate it Cheesy

If there is a God up there, any type, please show yourself, starting this Sunday with a huge win for the mighty red men.

I think City has a really really good chance of winning the champions league this year. For Premier league it is different and it will be really close. But it will be really intresting too see what will happen until the very end. But im going with City to win it all in the end

The God is there, you just have to pray with sincerity from the deepest part of your heart and I am sure Liverpool will crush Manchester City.
Not gonna debate if God exists or not, let's assume he/she/it/they do for this post. Don't you think City has some believers among their supporters as well? Who gets the win then? The side who has more believers or the side that prays hardest Smiley

I believe that even if the God exists he does not involves himself with petty human affairs.

It should definitely be a great game and I for one can't wait for it to start. Just a bit concerned that both teams would probably take the draw, especially City so we could end up with very defensive oriented game despite having two very attacking clubs going at each other.

Right, potentially the league decider this weekend, so naturally I'm going to go for a more reserved prediction. Liverpool to win 3-1 Cheesy. I'm confident, I think Salah will be back to his best despite his recent struggles. Man City have looked better after the international break, although their opposition hasn't exactly been great, so its hard to know if they're starting to regain form or if its just because of the quality of their opposition recently. Liverpool have looked good overall coming off the break, maybe some blips here, and there especially against Benfica after pretty much dominating the first half. Although, it was a comfortable win in the end.

I find that Man City either turn up against us, and its a goal fest or they completely collapse under our press, and we end up putting a few past them. I'm leaning more to the latter this time, since it hasn't happened for a while now.
