There was 12 seconds on the clock of added time before Tottenham scored their third to win the game apparently. Unfortunately for me, I tuned in to watch Manchester United just to see how their new manager is doing. It was largely an uneventful game, despite it being high scoring. I thought it was pretty poor, the only entertaining part for me was seeing Ronaldo throw a tantrum that he got taken off.
^ Benitez is a legend at Liverpool because he won them the UCL at a time when Liverpool were past their best days and during a decade when their biggest rival, United, was winning the league and so were Chelsea and Arsenal. So if you were a Liverpool supporter, that UCL title win was probably one big ‘fu’ on everybody. Maybe it could even be considered a more important UCL title win than Klopp’s... Dunno, we have to ask LFC_Bitcoin about that.
Recency bias might mean a lot of Liverpool fans say Klopp. The thing is how we won the tournament with Klopp was magical. Though, Benitez achieved something that we probably wasn't really expected to win. Klopp on the other hand was building up to greatness, and I think a lot of people just thought it was a matter of time.
I personally prefer Klopp's reign, but that's probably because I'm just overall a bigger fan of him as a manager instead of what hes achieved compared to Rafa. Though, I must say, and this might be recency bias again, but under Klopp we've truly had some magical moments. Back when Lallana scored, and ran to Klopp, the Barcelona Corner with Origi becoming a legend of a substitute, and finally winning the Premier League. Plus, Alison's recent goal to keep us in a champions league spot, as well as Nat Phillips turning himself into cult hero during a time where our entire defense was out injured. Its been a crazy ride under Klopp, and at least in the last decade is probably unrivaled by anyone from a Liverpool's perspective.
Probably all Liverpool fans well-liked Rafa, but not on his team bench. He is fine when Rafa is on Everton (their one of the biggest rivals), certainly not because there is a possibility that it will bring them great results.
The funny thing is he was well liked before, however since he's sold Evertons arguably best player in Digne, and put them close to the regelation spot, he's probably become loved
