It seems time for me to announce officially that I am resigning from this year's pool, LOL. I did not have a great run. After the first few rounds, I was sinking and now after a long gap I see it's impossible to chase a position in top10. Besides, I do not get much time to follow up with the matches. Only watching very few selective matches. So, it's best for me not to mess around this season any more.

Good luck to all who are grinding. I will rejoin in the next season.

If you want to quit OK do so but before make sure to put in all your predictions for all the remaining rounds and you can calmly come and check at the end of the Premier League if you made it at the top 10,and if you did don't call it a miracle because it can happen,24 points just 5 rounds with perfect results for you and 5 rounds with bad results for the vast majority you will be in the top 10.

Looks like he beat up his girlfriend and either raped her or attempted to rape her: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10456829/Man-Utd-star-Mason-Greenwoods-girlfriend-accuses-beating-up.html
Thanks for the link, does not look good for Greenwood. I am always having a bit of doubt when it comes to famous persons and such allegations but if it true he deserves whatever comes his way.

By my count Burnley has 6 postponed games and they really could have played one or two in this break.

I always have doubts when people accused are famous persons like football players being one of the most attacked lately. We hear a lot of people about abuse and all sort of things but which can guarantee us that the accuser is not doing it just to get a lot of money as compensation and in most cases nothing was proofed to the public.I hope the same is for Greenwoods.

For the picks I think it is still early with the only game being played at Saturday Burnley vs Watford and the other games are at 8 February,a lot can happen until then so I will put my predictions minimum 24 hours before a game starts.

I'm not one of those 'believe all women' idiots and there's always two sides to a story and I like to wait for all the evidence before making a judgment but there's audio of him being pretty abusive so it's not looking good for him. Often times it comes down to he said she said but when there's evidence of the abuse you're pretty much screwed and you should get what you deserve.

Today is the last game of the week we left behind Burnley vs Watford,I have gone for an upset if I can call it an upset for Watford to win 1-3 as a result, this is the only game of the Premier League during the weekend, the real action starts at Tuesday at 8 February, but this post I made it more as a reminder for people to not forget to put their prediction for the game of tonight.

Im hoping for a draw in this match to get me back on track. Last few rounds just killed me and i think this week for me its now or never to get back into top 10. I already made picks for this round a long time ago so i hope it turns out well in the end.

It looks like your hope was fulfilled the game ended in a draw and most probably you are one of the few who got points for that game.I still find it really surprising that no goals were scored in a game where the last two teams of the standings played against each other. Most of the times in Premier League when such teams have played together usually goals were scored.

This game had 0-0 written all over it for me. I definitely couldn't see anything other than a draw.

Don't quit. There's still everything to play for and that's not even including the weekly free bet. The tables can turn pretty fast in the league. At least just stick your scores in on superbru in advance if you don't have time to follow the games. You can always change them if you decide to resume playing at some point.

You sure about this? you are only 24 points away from 10th and we still have 15 rounds to go, its going to be close if you have one or two great rounds. Im currently on 42th, this makes me 41.5 points away from the 10th spot and Im not giving up yet lol. Well not atleast until I win one Yellow Cap this season to atleast get back my buy-in fee

@joca: In the last 10 rounds I've swung from 11 points ahead at one point to 8 points from top, and now back up by a small margin. I took some risks, some paid off, others didn't, but generally the draws are the toughest to predict and seem to snag the most points vs rest. Good luck but also bad luck Wink

Anyway, slightly off-topic but caught the first 2 FA Cup games. Heartbreak for the non-league side Kidderminster... damned Hammers found a way to score late, and then final kick almost of Extra Time. Chelsea also survived after Plymouth missed a late Extra Time penalty. Weekend feels good!

Then right after that City-Fulham game gave 2 goals in 7 minutes. Course, City looks like they're dominating, and now 4-1 up but I have money on Fulham so I can pretend we're still alive with 20 mins to go, Harry Wilson and Neco Williams in the team, maybe they do the Reds a sentimental favour at the death (ha ha ha).

If you ask me, Burnley greatly improved their offensive potential in this transfer window. They sold Wood for 30M and brought in Weghorst for 14M. He and Cornet look like very respectable pairing up front. Maybe we will see new more creative Burnley soon. I had Watford winning 2:1 and just changed it towards Burnley wining 2:1. Watford really disappointed me in their last game and I don't trust them anymore.

Same as my scoreline then, I have to be honest, I don't really know much about their new acquisitions but I do feel they did a good piece of business letting Wood go as his returns weren't as valuable as they might have seemed on paper -- you have to find a way to not act like perennial relegation battlers at some point. Which is what Watford are becoming. Hornets have a bad habit of performing at the end of season too, though like you, I have not counted on them to do anything except score a goal a game while losing.

Yeah, Watford winning is an upset only as Sarr is not in the team (thought he was injured and then his name popped up at Afcon!) and they are once more in their new manager streak (sttangely they do not seem to benefit from new manager bounce).

I also feel they might win this one, but for now I keep faith in Burnley home win to snap their shitty streak.

So Eriksen is in Brentford, must say I am super happy he is again in one of the top leagues. Just hope all his heart problems are behind him and then I am sure we will see some of his magic on the pitch again. Brentford could be a perfect club for comeback. He has a lot of fellow Danes there and more creativity then all of them combined. Looking forward to see what shape he is in.

Hey local guys, what is the deal with Greenwood? PL twitter is full of twits like "career over", "monster", "disgusting"...

Could not find what he actually did but I sort of think it was some women involved and maybe rape. The story did not break yet to mainstream media it seems.

As far as i heard and seen some of the news he beated up his girlfriend and wanted to have sex with her while she didnt want to.
There was a recorded voice message live by his girlfriend where he is asking he to have sex with him while he dosent want too. I seen some pictures with lots of blood and some where he hit her. So i think his career is over for sure. Man Utd removed his number. Fifa removed his from the game. Nike dosent sponsor him anymore, so its the end for him.

I'm about a week early, but just put in all my picks to avoid overthinking.

To echo Welsh's analysis, I can't see City dropping points against Brentford, but the romantic side of me will count on Eriksen to remind the world he's still class, if they find a way to get their form back, use their directness to also remind City that setpieces are part of football, and of course we need to do our job against Leicester... this is still City's league to lose but it would be ideal to play them in April with everything at stake.

Look at Celtic, beating Rangers last night to clamber over them (bittersweet for Rangers as proof that Gerrard actually was a good manager).

And about Greenwood -- thought he put down his problems from Iceland but if Southgate couldn't, guess Ole and Rangnick couldn't. Not that I blame them for what happened, but precocious young talents need sorting out early. Don't expect to seem him appearing for Three Lions after this, regardless of what happens next.

There are a lot of postponed games from these latest rounds and I think it would be great if they manage to play some of them during this windows, more specifically during this weekend, which doesn't seem to be the case unfortunately,
Yeah, you'd think they'd make the most of these periods of downtime considering they've got quite a hefty backlog of games. Though, I expect certain teams will complain because they have players away at AFCON etc.

I'm surprised they haven't played some. I don't expect Burnley have many if any players away at the AFCON games, but regardless, football teams have to deal with injuries and absences anyway so that's no excuse. Most PL teams have squads big enough anyway to deal with missing players whatever the reason. I'm not sure how Burnley are going to squeeze in all their games by the end of the season. Aren't they 5 games behind?

It will make things interesting if City lose another game or two or drop some points on draws. They have a 9 point buffer at the top currently but they've also played an extra game.
I do believe they still have to play Liverpool too, which could get exciting if they meet either level on points or Manchester City ahead by three points. Personally, I'm quite confident they'll drop points, unfortunately they play a out of form Brentford side, whereas we played them when they were taking the league by storm. That 3-3 draw might haunt us to this day, especially because Salah should have finished in the last few minutes of the game.

Why is there no games this weekend? Doesn't seem to be any internationals or the FA Cup.
It is international break. Just no games in Europe. All other zones have their games. South America, Asia and CONCAF are playing world cup qualifiers while African nations are still at AFCON. UEFA gave permission to European leagues to schedule some postponed games in this slot if possible so maybe we will have something.
