I went up to the 41st place from the 45th place this week. Although I still don't have the performance that I want, I had a better week compared to the other ones. Even though I'm at the 41st place, there is only a 16-point gap with the leader. I still hope that I can go up to the upper places in the coming weeks.

Was robbed in injury time for a perfect 0-0 score on the Brentford/Brighton game. That had a bore draw written all over it and 48% of the players in the pool backed the draw.
Missed out on a perfect score on the Liverpool match by one goal as Leeds failed to score. Shame Bamford didn't score that 30 yard lob he did on Allison who only just manged to get back to push it over the bar. The sending off of Struijk was an interesting one. I don't think it was a card at all and just unfortunate. The ref let the game play on until he saw the extent of the injury and then gave him a straight red five minutes later. Cooper almost did the exact same tackle later on in the game on (I think) Salah and nothing happened there and the game carried on as it should have. If it wasn't for the injury then I doubt any card would have been given. I wonder if it will get rescinded?

Sorry it's such short notice but I didn't realise it was kicking off today. Maybe we can just play for fun or the sponsorship money if I can get any but regardless if you're considering paying just make sure your scores are in and they will carry over to the pool once you join.

I think that buwaytress won the yellow cap for the second time during this pool in just a few weeks of play.That is really something new I think as I don't think anyone in the previous pool managed to win the yellow cap two times in just 4 match days.The top also has another new happening,I think we never saw 4 people with the same number of points in the first place in the previous pool.
There hasn't been many games yet so points spread is rather small. No surprise than that we have several participants with same amount of points. Granted, it is much rarer and more interesting when it is a tie for first place. This early in season one good week can propel anybody 10 or even 20 places up the table.

@swogerino: Early season, so all kinds of records will look possible. Both yellows were very low. This week 15 points wins it, and that's the gap between 1st and 40th position, so no one should be counting on their positions to remain after only 10% of the season.
Definitely a good start for me here AND in Serie A. This is what happens when I just go with the expected outcomes and don't always hope for upsets haha. Gotta say there will surely be someone getting 2 yellows in a row. This pool is full of pretty damn good bastards.
I don't mind TAA doing that as long as he continues his fine rate of assist. England playing him in midfield seemed to have put his off course for a while... and Mane, yeah, I think he's frustrated with himself too. As long as he keeps trying, I don't mind. We just need them to keep creating and trying. The danger is when they start losing confidence.

I personally have little doubt about the quality of Liverpool's scoring form. Something is wrong there (just my opinion). Mane doesn't want to assist anyone, TAA also had some irrational attempts.

it is really strange that I am finding even correct scores now,probably because I play for fun here and not to win money,of course the final aim is to get a share of the pool but it is different than betting exclusively to win money.

What a strange game that, It ended goalless at halftime and all 4 goals from both sides came within 13 minutes interval, I hope the goal would stop after Everton took the lead, but it was only matter of seconds after the play resumed before they doubled their advantage.

good game from Everton, although everything worth mention happened in second half, but three points are here
it is not a great start, like last season, but it is good to have 10 points and be within top4 after four rounds
it was a solid round for me as well, 8 picks were good, I was just short for one exact score, within all close-ones, to be near the yellow cap, will be better throughout the season hopefully

Even though I gained three points thanks to the Chelsea game this week, there wasn't a big change for my place in the standings. But my performance was better compared to last weeks. I hope that Everton manage to win the match by 2-0 whose first half ended goalless.

Well done indeed to you and also slaman29 for getting top points shared with you. Have never been this long at or near to the top myself, but definitely, going with the favourites has proven an effective strategy as when there are upsets like at Spurs no one else gets it anyway.
Thank you, you know this is not even really my league, but you also know in La Liga I am doing very badly, so it is a little small shame for me. But EPL is like DIA7 says. Just put the same "safe" score for the big teams and they are more consistent than in other leagues. Last season I tried many draws instead of total upsets like a few of you do and it didn't do well.

It feels good to be again in the top of the standings and I am not getting used to it yet although I am here since three consecutive weeks together with this.I am also in the fight for the yellow cap but I highly doubt I can do much better in the remaining game of Everton,most probably everyone in the pool has predicted an Everton win which is the most common prediction.

Thanks.I also had Liverpool 0-3 but changed it to 1-3 because I thought Leeds at home should surely score a goal and Liverpool is much better in their attack than their defense.I never imagined myself to stay this long in the top and I think tonight or maximum next week I am leaving for good (going down a few positions) as I have never won tickets when I have bet on Premier League games,it is really strange that I am finding even correct scores now,probably because I play for fun here and not to win money,of course the final aim is to get a share of the pool but it is different than betting exclusively to win money.

From the Leeds side, they always attack, especially if they are in minus. which opens up a serious attack to fill their net which would happen that Mane was not selfish in few chances.

Missed the first half, so haven't even seen the Salah goal but he won me my HT 1x2 bet AND Salah any time to score, so I couldn't be happier, really. Reading the stats and analysis made me double down on another 2nd half Liverpool win and Fabinho seems to have won me that early.
Struijk off now for that tackle on Elliott... normally positive for a team 2 goals in front, but only problem is I predicted 4-0 and if Leeds park the bus after this, it's going to be tough...

It's really strange, isn't it? The last time they got promoted just 2 seasons ago, also as Champions, they went right back down finishing bottom of the league, scoring barely half a goal per game. At least that time, Pukki seemed to get them off to good scoring at times, including THAT famous comeback win against Citeh.
This time, one penalty is all they've had in 4 games. It's really looking grim for them.

I think Norwich cant do a single thing in this league,its like they are lost. Arsenal winning against the worst team in the league gets them the points on the board and maybe they wake up after this.

Just checked the league table, how the hell have I got 0 EXACT scores, damn it. I have 21 CLOSE but 0 EXACT. That sucks man, I’m 41/48 in the league. If even 8-10 of those CLOSE are EXACT I’d be in the top 10. Just shows how one goal can totally mess you up.

since I'm 2nd now in the pool I'm well equipped to give some tips regarding getting exact scores.Oh well, a long season ahead.
Try to put tge most commun score like 2-1 1-0 for the potential winner in all gameweek surely you will get 1 or 2 games that going to end with that score like this week we had 3 out of the 8 games end with 1-0 results choosing Arsenal an Man City to get the winner is easy while for Brentford vs Brighton that was though to predict but at the end you could have got 6 points from those two matches.
I didn't use the strategy a lot in EPL pool but I'm using it in Laliga Pool where I'm also ranked 2nd but tied in points with first also I have tge most exact score there.

I'm simply living my best life, seeing those green arrows next to my name for second consecutive GW, hell yeah. I'm up 7 positions in the leaderboards and have a half-point lead before the final two matches for the yellow cap. Furthermore, i have 21 points off exact scores (the most in the pool so far), which is crazy given how bad i was at this time of year last season.
Ahh shit, if this makes you feel any better, there is one more player with 🍩 points off exact scores, you are not alone. You will get it right at some point, it will turn...

Tottenham was due a slip-up imo, lucky wins over City and Wolves, not really that convincing at home vs Watford, lucked out on a free-kick. Son was out for the game, so were Sanchez and Bergwijn. Kane played three times for England in less than a week, not sure his fitness is right where it should be. Palace were so much better even before the red card, i'm not surprised at all.

I think everyone today lost points on Tottenham as that was the biggest surprise of this week.I lost the top position but I am happy because I thought like I would lose like 8-10 positions with the results of today.The reason I am still really near the top,is the correct score from Manchester United game and of Chelsea.This week is almost over with only two games to go and I think we will see wins of Liverpool and Everton in these remaining games.

It's really pathetic, I didn't even remember that I had Tottenham in a parlay, that's a potential 11 mBTC gone down the drain, all that could have been left is Liverpool to win against Leeds tomorrow [...] Not looking any good for me in the pool this week as well, I've only gathered 6 points so far.
The same thing, because Tottenham was included in a couple of my express bets, at that time the victory of Spurs seemed more than obvious to me, (btw, I forgot to mention ... that in this match, Crystal Palace scored his 500th goal in the PL). But regarding the pool, I was definitely more fortunate than you, because despite the 6 points I gained, I went up in the ranking by 5 positions. Jump to:
