I don't think that's the case, It's more like the bookies also understand that it's not a must win for City (the same goes for Brighton anyways), City would still play some of it's top players if you ask me, you'd need them match fit as possible, you don't rest a player for as much as 12 days just so they don't get injured, he'd probably keep the barely fit and near fatigued players, like De Bruyne) but I would expect the Sterling and Aguero or Jesus who aren't getting much play time to be involved.

See, Sterling, and aguero did not play,,, JEsus only got 15 minutes after they were losing, so clearly Pep did not really care about it and who blames him, after the red card especially and then to go 2-0 up,,, you would never expect them to lose. When was the last time City lose after 2 goals up, I cannot remember at all:)

You’re jinxing it, right?  Grin  And we all know City chokes at these big crucial matches.  i’m rooting for them to win, I’m going to bet on them to win but I wouldn’t be too surprised if we see City in their ‘off day’ at the final.
City indeed does choke at the big crucial stages, but not in finals, at least not Guardiola. He's only lost one of the 15 finals he has coached, winning 14 of them. Impressive right ? In the last encounter Man City was the better side, and the match was just as though the team the shortcomings of the FA Cup semi final, it was just luck that wasn't on their side. I would expect a more composed City side and they final is the only obligation they have left, while Chelsea needs to think of the plan B or could miss out the UCL they're a finalist for next year.

Can you believe the odds for Brighton to win against city is only 5x? This means the bookies think for sure City will play C team. I personally always feel this can backfire because top players like playing every 3 days and if you play rested players in a big final, you get fresh and fast teams but both will be so careful not to lose.

Who says this goes to penalties?

^  I don’t think it goes to penalties.  It will like like it in game and it’s going to be a tight, cagey game but I’m pretty sure one of them shoots a goal around the 75th min. and wins it.  At least that’s how I see it in my head.  Grin

And the goal scorer will either be Aguero or Giroud.  Both subs of the match.

Leicester are the FA Champions, I would not say it's not a deserved victory, but Chelsea deserve better too, imo.

Could this be the beginning of an heartbreaking end to the season for Chelsea fans, I mean imagine losing both finals and dropping out of the top 4, what could be more wrenching?

I'd be surprised if Chelsea beat City in the CL final. I know they won their last two games against them but I think City will be taking this a lot more seriously. Either way I couldn't be less excited about that match. I would have been had City won the FA Cup but a domestic CL final is never great.

Yeah, that's me. What do you mean, what happened? I am solid in top 40  Grin How are you doing this season, what's your username in Superbru.
Haha you are thriving there, good for you.
I am trying to keep myself active so that they don't kind me out from top 10 LOL
It's famLFC

Yeah, I couldn't agree more but, there are still two rounds the go and the points differences in the leaderboard are only marginal between 2-7, a couple of wrong foot one could be all the way down.
I worry the same. One wrong round can kick me out from top 10. I don't expect a place is top 5 by any means by the way. Gave up the hope long ago.

That's you? Congratulations. If I am not wrong, you are the guy from last year who beat me in the last round? What happened to you in this session?

There wouldn't have any difference btw, you would have ended up with 1.5 points eitherway... I was able grab all 3 points.
Your days age going well, I was happy with the one and half point though 😉

There should be, you'll probably get it in the next few days, (I still await mine from the last round though, probably due to the weekend and holidays)

A draw in the Chelsea vs Leicester would be nice on Tuesday. 😉

Any result is good for Liverpool, because at least one of the teams above them will drop at least 2 points,,, but I do not think they want either team. Leicester just beat Chelsea, and Chelsea is in the final of Champions League,, so clearly the league table has not lied that they have performed much better than Liverpool over the course of the season.

Now it's the LFC lad turn, they don't want mess this up though.

EDIT: It was Allison to rescue but not at his own goal post, would you believe that ? I sometimes see goalkeepers coming out at the very last set piece of the game when in need of goal needless but this is one of those occasions where it surely matters.
We were almost losing everything. Trust me I was annoyed seeing all those chances are missed, was heavy hearted, lost all hope. But that moment when Alisson sent the ball back of the net, it was not more satisfying than anything else. Considering the pressure it was one of those great goals.

A draw in the Chelsea vs Leicester would be nice on Tuesday. 😉

VERY nice payouts hilarious! Just the sort of thing I'd do if I had access to Sky (and still love the British bookies for all their promos) although I have to say I do try to get some nice boosts on Sportsbet -- just that they don't really have those Betbuilder bonuses (you can do your own but the odds actually don't get the same value as if you try the same options manually) not that it stops me from doing BB anyway!

Liverpool over 7.5 corners best single value at 21.10? Wink

This round we have so many goals so just before starting the Tottenham match I have gone with 3 - 1 for Tottenham. Before I had 2 - 1. Hope I do not regret 🤣

You won't alone there will be a lot of football fans who will not believe this result. I don't think Chelsea will even be able to challenge the real City team. Last two for in PL for City they had nothing to gain or lose so obviously they have not used their full strength but CL final is different thing. In fact, they are saving energy for CL final for sure.

By the way, in Palace vs Villa match I had no hope, but anyway it's good to have one point than nothing LOL

hilariousetc, congrats on huge wins!
It's exciting that the season and the competition is almost over, and I feel like predicting the outcomes became way harder because underdogs are now fighting hard to finish decently. The last round was terrible for me, and there were many outcomes which had less than 25% expectancy rate in this competition. This round has clearly been more in accordance with expectations of participants so far, and I also got lucky with the Brighton - West Ham draw prediction.
How about you? Do you think we'll see significant changes in the top-10 by the end of the season?

It gets trickier when there's nothing to play for for most teams and a lot of them will start fielding weaker teams to give players a game. City have already won the PL and Fulham West Brom and Sheffield are all relegated so they won't really care what results will happen. The teams from 3rd to 9th are still contending for the Euro spots so they're the only teams that will probably be fighting for points. As for the pool table it's still quite close at the top from second down to tenth+ and the people outside of that are all fighting for a spot and a bad vs good week can shift the table a lot. tomahawk9 would probably have to have two very bad rounds for someone to catch him but that buffer he has will come in useful even if he does.

This is a win in a few thousand! Congratulations to make this huge gain. Even bitcoin has not gained that much in the last few months 🤣

By the way, in the West Ham match I was not able to get any point but I am super happy that they lost two points with this draw. Liverpool still can hope for fourth place.
