Is that actually the number of different pairings on CB positions for Liverpool in this season? I knew it was a big number but this is totally unreal. If I had to guess I would say 10 tops.

Yeah when Henderson went off injured, Nat Phillips and Ozak Kaban became our 18th different CB. Admittedly, Williams has only been used once or twice in Prem League so maybe 2/3 of those pairings below are in league cup/FA cup but still!

VVD-Fabinho
VVD-Gomez
VVD-Curtis (I remember this because we died 7-2 at Villa after Gomez got injured)
VVD-Williams
VVD- Matip (Matip back from injury but VVD's last game)
Fabinho-Gomez
Gomez-Philips
Gomez-Matip
Fabinho-Matip, Fabinho-Milner (I personally thought this was good but guess what Matip injured)
Fabinho-Hendo (December started this nonsense of no CB fit)
Matip-Williams
Fabinho-Williams
Fabinho-Phillips
Hendo-Matip, Hendo-Philips (and we beat spurs and West Ham with this, so we thought, yay we fixed it! we were wrong hahahaha...)
Hendo-Kabak
Phillips-Kabak

This really is a season for creating useless records for ourselves. I can't wait for it to be over really.

the question also arises at the bottom of the table as to who will follow sheffield and west brom into the efl championship next season
from fulham (18th) to burnley (15th), there are still a number of clubs at risk...

... we can start shrugging off this bad season of 18 different CB pairings (read that again!).

City is looking untouchable at the moment so that one is out of the LFC hands.

It is over already for the Premier League and City is from another world level at the moment. For sure now they are all focused in the Champions League and it will be important to see also Liverpool as they are also trying the same.I dream this year a final between City and Liverpool in the Champions.

today there is another game and that is brighton meets crystal palace at home, both are neighbors in the table and with a win could move a little further away from the relegation places

All hail and bow to the genius Moyes.  Cleverer than a fox this guy is.  Grin  Now please hold you mofos.  I need zhe points!

Bad beat on Liverpool yesterday.  I kinda thought of fading them buthad second thoughts after their CL win vs RBL.  One good thing about losing the league is Klopp could focus more on the CL.

Edit:  Well, not a good thing.  But there’s a silver lining.

I suppose the easiest route for us now is to go on and win it, then we ensure qualification for next season's UCL as a holder hahaha... it'll be the second time we do that.

I think LFC_Bitcoin said it right earlier on when he commented that we'll just have to hunker down and wait for our treatment room to start emptying. Once we get VVD and a couple more others back properly, we can start shrugging off this bad season of 18 different CB pairings (read that again!).

From multiple angles that doesn't look like an offside play, and VAR is really messing things up every now and then, the essence of the VAR to start with is to reduce the wrong calls, but we're gradually getting more non-justifiable wrong calls now than we get without the so called advance technology. but then Bamford has got to be the most unlucky striker in the EPL, he's got more of these wrong calls.

Well the thing is here is that it did look quite a bit offside from the in play angle, but on the replay it's so close I'm not even sure what is meant to be offside, so it's good that it was checked but at the same time if they don't have adequate angles how can they tell for sure? I wonder if we'll ever get cameras that run up and down the pitch with the action, but I'm sure there will still be issues with the linesman getting in the way or it not being able to keep up.

due to fulham's victory yesterday, i was able to get my only 1.5 points yesterday  Grin Tongue

Well I got zero points up until that game and luckily I got the correct score. A couple of upsets this round. Really didn't expect Liverpool to lose and I thought Spurs should be able to get a point from West Ham at least.

Draws are still freaking hard to predict for me. Southampton and Chelsea draw was predicted by only 4 people from the pool, congrats to them!
My feeling that Liverpool was not strong enough to win was right, but I did not expect it to lose like that to Everton either (congrats to 3 people who got this right).
But I got 3 points for Burnley vs West Brom, and this round has been very well for me so far, with 7.5 points along with webtricks and cryptofrka.

but what liverpool is doing at home at the moment is out of the question...
it's lfc's fourth defeat at anfield road in a row. the last time this happened was almost 100 years ago - in december 1923 and fc liverpool lost a merseyside derby at anfield road for the first time since september 27, 1999  Shocked Roll Eyes

Last season, we were creating new club records, this season, we're giving other clubs new records. Villa their biggest win over a top 4 club, Everton their first derby win in the new millennium, not to mention giving some managers maiden wins at Anfield. Sigh. The sight of Duncan Ferguson celebrating last night just totally wrecked my night:P

Wow so far 0 points. This is in the true meaning of the word the worst week so far for me.Burnley could not win, Chelsea could not win, Liverpool could not win, Fulham so far is not winning. These games were easy to predict but only on paper unfortunately.Let's see how it goes because tomorrow games are more difficult to predict.I am very sad to see Liverpool in this condition.I think they are totally focusing on the Champions league and this is what they should be doing because the Premier is game over for them.
0 points for me too. I already reached point when I don't even check my position on the table. I have impression that my performance is getting worse and worse every round. At least I haven't got wooden spoon yet Cheesy.
It's something understandable if Liverpool focus on Champions league now, title race is over for them. But if they will continue to perform like they're doing now, they are risking to end without spot in Champions league for next season.
Same 0 points for me as well. This covid season without supporters is really producing a lot of strange result. Kicking my ass but it is doing the same to most of you so I am still keeping my position in top 20. Not so good considering I was on the brink of breaking top ten couple of weeks ago.

No giving up, and I hope I will get at least a point from City win tonight which seems like something that should happen Smiley

Harsh result for Leeds yesterday especially the goal which was given as a keeper own-goal but there's nothing he could have done about that. Traoré's run was a great one and he deserved the goal though. Would have been a stormer had it gone in off the post with hitting Meslier. Another close call on the VAR with the disallowed Bamford goal. I think this one is another of those examples where a bad angle could have ruled it offside like we've seen several times before. From the in play angle he looked quite a distance offside but on the replay it was one of those millimetre offside call but I'm betting if they had a shot straight down the line it might not have been offside and it proves how certain angles can make something seem better or worse. From these dodgy angles you can never be 100% sure:

And urgh, Liverpool down to Everton now and a few close chances but nothing clearcut. Hendo injury not nice too. *shakes head*

I think the only time to bet on Liverpool or pick them in the pool is when they're playing away from Anfield... It's becoming rather scary to bet on them.

@kryptnick yeah If I were betting as a neutral (unfortunately am not) I'd be going against Liverpool for a while now, kind of like I've been going against Arsenal, Chelsea and City. Problem with City is even when they're in bad form, you regularly can find 10/1 odds against them but Liverpool continue to play as firm favourites without upsetting the bookmaker odds. I mean, Newcastle, Palace, Sheffield, you'd get 15/1 even 20/1 against City but lucky to get 10/1 against Liverpool.

@hilarious If they don't fix VAR implementation I don't know where we're going. Not much more can say about those vague lines that look marginal at best.

It will be an easy win for Liverpool today I think.Everton comes from lost games and I don’t think this is the game where they will start their recovery. The games of this week except from yesterday are easy to predict at least on paper we should see the stronger teams wins.
I can see that the majority picked Liverpool to win, but I'm not so sure about it. Liverpool has three recent losses, and the overall performance of these teams this season seems to be equally not great (both have 11 wins, and in both cases it's a little less than half of games won this season). I'm not confident in my pick, but I chose a draw for this match. Draws are tricky to predict, but I think that in this case it's a pretty realistic scenario. But yeah, apparently it's a very unpopular opinion on this match, with only two other people from the pool making this choice  Grin

Had they not had a decent win in the CL this week I might have agreed with you, but I think they should be able to beat Everton but it could be a spicy match with a few goals. I can see a draw but it's not something I'd back. I think Liverpool are due a bounce back as well and Everton losing 2-0 at home to Fulham earlier this month doesn't give me much confidence in them but I'll be watching this game for sure.

Merseyside Derby tomorrow boys. I would normally be at Anfield for this but will have to support the boys from home. I want revenge on Everton tomo, they ruined our (LFC’s) season with that assault on VVD by Pickford. I want to see them humiliated & I expect us to put them to the sword.
