Wolves tonight barely 7/1. Not such value for me, and they lost Jota...
Not even bookies are that brave to offer much higher odds when you take into account that Wolves won last 3 games against City. <...>
And City are without Gundogan (covid positive), and Laporte + Aguero both injured...

i predicted a 1-2 Man City win in our pool, but i'm not adding this match to any tickets, Wolves looked good vs. Sheffield, and City haven't played in a while plus they're missing key players, but then again, Wolves isn't particularly a scary team, so u never know...meh, i'll take my chances with the Serie A and AC Milan on my Monday bet slip   Grin

I think there's still value in first half result:  Draw at 2.35.  Most of Wolverhampton's first half results last season were a draw.  Grin

Could be the case again this season.

Game has been pretty boring and they've cancelled each other out.

Yeah, and after the red card, even I was quite surprised to see Chelsea form 2 lines of defence in their own half, allowing Thiago and Liverpool to just play exhibition football after that. You play that when you're 1-0 ahead against better opponents but when you got speed down the flanks you ought to at least try running at the fragile wingbacks.

In fact, I was worried they were trying to tire our press in the first half -- and thankfully Alisson got that penalty save...

It was a silly sending off. I don't know why they risk these sorts of tactical fouls. Mane would have probably missed but even if he had scored it would be better to play a goal down than a man down. Had they had played the full game with 11 men I think it would have been much closer.

Not even bookies are that brave to offer much higher odds when you take into account that Wolves won last 3 games against City. This is not coincidence and it is blatant that Wolves style of play is doing big problems to City. I was thinking on putting some money on Wolves but then I am thinking City is way too good team to lose 4 times in a row against any opponent. Will probably skip the game in the end.

They also lost Doherty which is for me even bigger loss than Jota.
I also noticed this bad record of City against Wolves in the recent time but this is what I got in the pool.

I am not sure if I will change this pick at the last minute but the two inspirations for this crazy pick LOL

1. Too many goals in this round from the teams
2. A team like City can not lose several times in a raw against a team who are not near to their strength.

I want goals from this match, lots of goals 😜

Go for it. Anything can happen here and you'll be kicking yourself if you change it and it comes in. I'm still undecided on what to go for personally. I'll probably wait for the line ups but I'm not sure Wolves have it in them to beat them again.

Terrible start for me so far. Only two places away from the bottom  Grin.

Wish us two more exciting games at the end of the second round Cool
I have a feeling these remaining 2 games will have much less goals in them. Wolves will be defensive against City as usual and I woul not be surprised if Villa and Sheffiled played some boring draw like 0:0.

It's hard to say. An interesting point to make is that Wolves beat Man City both home and away last season. 3-2 home and 2-0 away. The question is can Wolves repeat that or will they blitz them. Gonna have to think whether I go for the comfortable City win or maybe something like a low scoring draw. I'm not sure Wolves will repeat their past performances again but you never know. They beat Sheff United away last week so they could continue their form and take advantage of the home fixture. It's the game I'll be watching anyway. Got a feeling the Villa Sheffield game is going to be boring.

Terrible week for me so far, really did not expect Spurs to win and I was sure Newcastle will not lose their match. Lost all my bets during the weekend and now it is time to make some money back   Grin

Yeah this week it looked good. I could already make 14 places (tendency rising) Smiley
Thanks to Arsenal I also managed to score full points for the first time.

I am probably the happiest person in this group yesterday who only got 1 point for a Spurs win;) I also put my Sportsbet freebets on it but lost to other teams not being able to win (I made it a multi). Ah well freebets right?

4 assists 1 goal for Kane, how about that?

EPL is exciting and unpredictable so far. It's simply impossible to predict results like 5-2 or 4:3. At least it's good to get 1 point from these games. And who could have thought that Brighton will win 3-0 at Newcastle.
Now watching Leicester - Burnley. I had 3:1 on this game - so far so good. But wouldn't be surprised if Foxes will score 1 or 2 goals - there is more than enough time for it.
Now we are in 86th minute and Foxes leading by 4 - 2 so look lie again most of members going to have 1 point because this result is really stunning this round is full of goals which is very interesting.

It's Leicester 2 - 0 for me in the next fixture
Already 1 goal scored against you so this time no correct score for you even if Leicester wins. I have 3 - 0 for Leicester so not good news for me too. Vardy needs his magic today too.

I was busy and could not watch any match so far. Missed Liverpool's goals.

Someone in the pool has not made his pick! How could one miss it?

Update: Mind blowing. Score leveled Barnes is the savior!

I just changed my pick from 3 -1 win in favor of Liverpool to a 2 - 0 win, still in their favor.

Second best decision I've made today, the first would be going to Church. After both goals came in early succession, I thought there would be more goals for sure, with well over 30 minutes left to play.

Allison saved the 3 points for me, but then that was cheap penalty call, imo.

It's Leicester 2 - 0 for me in the next fixture

Changed my score from 1-1 to 2-2 before the game but regretting it now. Game has been pretty boring and they've cancelled each other out. It's nil nil at half time but Chelsea just had a player sent off right before the break so I think Liverpool will probably nick it now. I'm predicting 1 or 2 -0 to them.

Edit: Mane just scored. 1-0. Great goal and header as well.

Gone for the home win on the last game at Leicester.

I tried favoring underdogs and predicted upsets in every game in first week. But this week, I have been thorough in my evaluation. So far it's going above average. Other than Crystal Palace and Brighton wins (which were unexpected), I am close in every other game. I picked 1-1 for Arsenal game but Nketiah's late goal stole 3 points from me. Got points in rest of the games.

For Chelsea vs Liverpool, I am expecting 1 goal difference win for Chelsea. It could be 2-1 or 3-2. But I chose 3-1 in favour of Chelsea. Now don't get surprised once again if Chelsea wins and I get points in this one as well. Cheesy

Yeah, somewhat my "tactic" every now and then, plus doing 3-0 for Pool almost every round. I've somewhat learnt my lesson but it hasn't done anything for me so far. Too early.

Not a very nice match to watch so far but Salah seems to have retained his sharpness.

Another 7-goals thriller, that's the 3rd one from 6 games  Shocked Shocked

1-0 and hat-trick by Werner  Cool

I just changed my pick from 3 -1 win in favor of Liverpool to a 2 - 0 win, still in their favor. There's quite number of missing players for the Blues which makes me think this might be a one sided affair..

I've somehow climbed some levels up Superbru -- webtricks picked 4-2 on Spurs, so last week's wooden spoon explains why he's trying these weird scores;)

Hehe! The reason for my first week weird picks:

Round 1 was awful for me, both here as well in PL pool. I tried to be over ambitious and it backfired. Hahay had a superb week! 11.5 points in just 7 matches, not bad man!
