So my question is how many yellow caps do you need to really make a dent in the prize pool? Smiley

As I didn't know you receive one for reaching 1st every week and remember someone saying (I think it was bitcoingirl) who mentioned we needed 18 games correctly predicted to have a hat donned on you.

There are no magic numbers regarding the yellow caps and every tournament is different based on the results people get. You could get a yellow cap with a mere point if everybody else failed to pick a correct outcome. You could end up with more yellow caps than anyone else but still not win a paid slot if your other round results aren't great as it's all about consistency. Winning a few yellow caps won't mean much (other than the free bets) if you're not consistent throughout the league.

Great, thank you! I have directly created favorites for FlashScore + SofaScore.
SofaScore also has a really great iphone app. So I'm looking forward to the next game day Cool
Since it fits now well I would like to mention www.livescore.com because that also works really good on my mobile.

And congratulations rdbase. Have fun with the hat Grin
Thanks everyone for the congratulatory messages, It was all beginners luck really! Cheesy

But this is great to know so to make a better effort in the predictions for next week's round.

As for the score sites: I like sofascore because they show player prop points live during a match, so this feature is an added bonus for those who have certain players in their pools.
I've used flashscore but their interface makes it difficult to find things at times. Haven't tried their app so can't comment one that aspect of the site.
Haven't tried livescore and might check them out to see if I like them better than sofascore.
Thanks mole0815! Wink

Does anyone know who PLSbre is on the pool? Messaged him on superbru but no response as of yet.

^re Sofascore is also what I use as I follow a number of "exotic leagues" and they seem to have a handle even on the most obscure friendlies and leagues but I personally use Livescores app when I'm on the move and want to "watch" the game. They have a sort of text/image visual of team movements and commentary, albeit with a minute delay or so.

Superbru does have a lot of sports and football leagues and it's a nice clean layout. Skybet have the pitchview visuals along with some basic commentary as well but there's not much of a delay as far as I'm aware.

Wait what...?  There's 50 bucks worth of free bets for every yellow cap?  How do I get it?

Surely you've answered your own question there? Cheesy You get the bet by being the yellow cap.

If Chelsea ends with a 3-1 score then this would give me a close result with 1.5 pts.
So I will end week 1 with 11.5 score on the leaderboard.
Stevebitcointalk was on a roll at the end and was catching up fast on the leaders in the top 5 fast.

He managed to get upto 2nd place in no time Wink

I got my yellow cap! Grin

Congrats on the yellow cap dude, nice way for you to start the season. I can’t believe we have 48 people in the league this season, super competitive. You get a $50 worth of bitcoin free bet for winning the weekly table. Spend it wisely amigo!

Anyway, I feel like I bit more than I could chew by joining three pools.  Lol.  And two of those I don't really follow that much.  Cheesy  I don't think I'll be joining the CL pool this year.  Sorry hilarious.

Spend $50 on Liverpool, rd=p Klopp will be sure to shakedown VVD and Gomez.

Round 2. Wolves City and Chelsea Liverpool. I'm home all weekend for the first time in weeks, so chuffed.

rdbase takes the first yellow hat, well done man. I’ll do my predictions for week 2 later today, I will try & think hard about what to put after I had a less than successful week 1.

Nice job rdbase, I have a bad record at getting the yellow cap but I performed quite well in previous pools (I did not take part in all) if I stop betting on my team (Spurs) but that is the problem of having a team you support, right?

Still, very happy to get 6th so far, with 1 exact score. Amazing competition with so many smart people:)

But another question -> what is the best site or ticker to be up2date on matchday (and afterwards)? Cool

I prefer sofascore. They have a nice app and you can favourite teams/leagues or individual games to get notifications from them when someone scores etc.

I second this, SofaScore is really good. They have an 'average player position' tab as well, so you can see the real in-game formations.

Can't wait for Chelsea game. They have so many new signings so I am eager to see how they will look this season. Havertz and Werner are in the first eleven, Ziyech and Silva not even on the bench.

Both had minor knocks and will probably be ready for the Liverpool game. I don't expect neither of them to start though.

I managed to land in the back third. So the start was in need of improvement Grin

I'm in the process of setting up Superbru on my cell phone so that I'll be closer to it in the future.

Whomever had Wolves to score over 2 goals had their dreams come true within the first 10 minutes of the game.
They lead 2-0 already! Wink

It will be very tough for Sheffield to score in this game. But I have them 2 goals so I hope so. Sad

Score two goals within the first 6 minutes then nothing for the rest. I really didn't expect Wolves to win so comfortably. I thought it would be close hence why I went for the draw. The picks on the pool were mostly split for all outcomes.

If Chelsea ends with a 3-1 score then this would give me a close result with 1.5 pts.
So I will end week 1 with 11.5 score on the leaderboard.

Job well done mate! Congratulations on the Yellow Cap for the 1st week of "tournament".  Grin

Not gonna lie, I'm enjoying this type of competition even though I'm not winning any of it. Really grateful that hilariousetc, Sportsbet.io and jeremypwr made it possible for us to have fun and win some BTC along the line.

It's only the first round. I guarantee you even the people at the top will have weeks where they don't get many points.

congrats, it is a good way to start the competition, especially these first rounds without audience, it is hard to predicted results, although there was not many surprises in the first week, most of the favorites come as expected, but there was many matches where the teams were somehow with same chances to win

we have following weeks to be better

Damn, had no idea this game started so early. Will tune in to watch the rest now, lucky for me I predicted Wolves to win Smiley

I have Wolves to win but only 1:0 so again no correct score for me. I expected a very physical and tight game and those 2 early goals really surprised me. The rest of the game then went more or less like i thought it would. That Traore could be a great player if only he had something between his ears. He makes has such great runs and dribbling but never gives the ball in the right time.

Can't wait for Chelsea game. They have so many new signings so I am eager to see how they will look this season. Havertz and Werner are in the first eleven, Ziyech and Silva not even on the bench.
