You don't need to be better in 38 games; consistency and luck will get you trophies. You only need your opponent to drop points whenever you lose; that is how you keep going. No team has performed better in 38 games.
Consistency is literally being better over 38 games. Brenford cannot be hoping the other teams above them drop points and they win the league. There is a level you have to be at to compete for the title, we are at that level, now we just need to drop the least number of points, not hoping for luck.
Luck is an excuse which I am not using. City have not been lucky, they have been better than anyone else.

No, you can play poorly and yet win games you should lose (luck factor), or you can play well and still lose games you should win (unlucky). It's just a football thing.

Arsenal has won games that they should have lost in the last five, got lucky with a couple set pieces, scored, and sat back the entire game. You wasted your chances of winning the league twice. You've led the league more than any other team since last season. Just bottlers for a reason.

That is exactly what you deserve. Those other teams dropped more points and now deserve to be below you guys on the table.

Manchester United  and Westham has been better than us all season, we got lucky, nothing else to see here.

Who saw the press conference with David Moyes where he said they may not be able to stop City's under-14s on the final game? If they scale through Tottenham tomorrow I will count the league lost and I am not holding out huge hope for tomorrow either.

On Football facts; Arsenal deserves to win the league but for the sake of side bets and London sanity, I would rather have City win it every season.
You do not deserve to win a league you lost. The better team over 38 games wins the title, if that is City then they totally deserve to win it and we will be cheering them on for next season.

Typical Arsenal supporter mentality: giving up before it's over. You have yet to lose to a top six team this season and have already topped your team's all-time league win total; if that is not enough to win the league, you may never win it again. Everyone knows the mentality of the team and the fans, therefore no one expected you to win anything with these magnificent players.

Liverpool bottling a 3-1 lead - Klopp was right. He is already out of energy and can't wait for the league to end.

I think Liverpool has no extra motivation, they know that this season was lost and they are happy with a Champions League appareance. When you play in such conditions there is no real motivation to the players and also Klopp is already bored I assume otherwise he would not given the dimission from his post.It is funny for Aston Villa though, how an inconsistent of a team they are, they lose to Olympiacos from Greece league and go and get back after being 2 goals down to Liverpool.

Nope buddy I understood what you, but I hate you guys given silly excuses after excuses every season with loud mouth.
There was no excuse in the post you quoted.

Chelsea is 7th not because we deserve it; we are simply fortunate that the club above us became pussies and began dropping points. Just play your games and hope the team above you becomes pussy (this is how Manchester City has been playing since last season).

Sometimes I wonder if you read replies backwards or just try to be witty and come up with a quick reply, but it is all good humor.

Well let me say it slower, we had the league in our hands and we lost it and now our destiny is not in OUR hands. I have faith in my team to win the final game of the season but cannot extend that faith to Spurs or WestHam. I hope they win, but as at this time we can only hope.
The team has been amazing this season, but if it is not enough then it is not, you do not get a winners medal for coming really close. Liverpool has finished a season with 97 points which will be almost ten times more than the maximum we can get, great achievement, but still finished short.

If a miracle happens, I will be the happiest fan. If not, we dust off and come back stronger next season, goal is to better 89 points by as much as possible.

I saw a video of Arsenal fans blowing off fireworks at Manchester City Hotel at 2 AM. Fortunately, the Manchester City team did not sleep at the hotel; I suppose they received the information sooner.

This is another reason why nobody wants you to win the league. If your supporters had their way, they would kidnap City players and make them miss today's game. Embarrassing...  Grin

I was not thrilled with City's approach against Fulham; they won but had many loose ends, which Spurs may exploit, but I believe Pep approaches each game differently.
Don't take West Ham lightly. City will lose points in any of these 2 match, either against Spur or West Ham. Winning the bets for sure  Cheesy

You should be worried about winning Everton; Spurs and West Ham are Londoners who would lose both games if given a brown envelope. They both in a safe positions and willing to do anything for the bag at this time.

Tottaham needs funding for a team revamp next season. West Ham are entering a new phase without Moyes and needs funds. I am confident that City will take the necessary action.

Happened against QPR and Aston Villa in the past. They're 115 FC for a reason Lol  Grin

Does anybody think Spurs has a chance?

Because that's what Arsenal need to win this title. Even a draw is enough but imagine, being rivals forever, being Totteringham all the time, losing Kane, losing Europe, and now if you don't lose to Manchester City, you give your most bitter rivals in the world the title?

Football really is about life and love and hate and jokes Smiley

Tottaham does not deserve or even need the CL at this time; they would do better in the Europa League. The only honourable thing the Spur fans need right now is the team to lose tomorrow and prevent Arsenal from winning the league in order to maintain a healthy rivalry. Life without Harry Kane is difficult, but making the Europa League is already an important achievement for them this season.

It's true that success correlates with spending but EPL already accounts for the majority of spending across Europe, so I think some curtailing on that can't be a bad thing. Honestly, if you can't assemble a squad that's competitive in Europe without spending insane money, you shouldn't. We'll just have to trust that La Liga and Serie A will also do the same (I believe the Barca issues are proof of this). PSG will also eventually wind down and give up throwing money at UCL.
Other clubs would not. They just need to avoid financial fair play rules and stay successful. The Barcelona issue is more of mismanagement than rules working as they should. The anchoring bit in the proposed rule is the part I think will not have the desired or expected result.

I have to think so. There's also West Ham so Moyes could take a final parting shot at City, but honestly, I can't see them dropping any points in these two games. They may struggle to score, but win they will.
West Ham, at the Etihad? A camel will easier go through the eye of a needle than for them to take a point off City. If City do draw against Spurs, which is the best result I can hope for, and it goes down to goal difference, I fear WestHam will capitulate and City hit 5 or 6 past them. We are in a good position with +3 goal difference, but it is much lower than it was some weeks ago.

It looks like premier league is trying to hard to make the competition more competitive and closing the gap between all the clubs in the league. I am afraid this approach will limit how competitive the EPL will be in Europe, squaring up against clubs that are placed on the pedestal in their leagues.

Who caught the proposed new rule that was voted on "in principle" by no less than 16 clubs to take effect from the 2025/26 season? Here's a recap for those that may have missed it, https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13125832/premier-league-spending-cap-rules-explained-what-might-clubs-be-allowed-to-spend-from-the-2025-26-season

Can this season end, please? I was 2nd 5 rounds ago, now I'm 5th and can't get a single thing right.
Next round is crucial with extra games added, I cannot be any worse than I've recently been I guess.

Would kill to be you. Well, maybe not kill but might maim a fly. Been hovering around 20th for a long while. And it looks so close to a prize spot, but simply can't find the right time to bag a Chelsea/United draw or Brighton win, etc.

This time, I did go for Palace to try and catch the loss. Seeing ETH field a whole bunch of youngins does make me wonder if I underestimated his willingness to lose his stars though.

Chelsea had another goal party, why at the end the Blues were so convincing. Try earlier maybe it will be something different. Shocked
Chelsea is still an experiment. They may have not been anywhere near this form in the beginning of the season but they were all over the place, playing great football sometimes and not so great on other times, and terrible a few times. Remember they got to the final of the EFL cup and the semi-final of the FA cup. They'll do better next season, Tottenham, not so much.

My disaster keep going in this pool, seems like i can do nothing, only cry and drink.

Well lets put all the mind in next year Tongue

You are not alone, except the beginning weeks where I was in the prize spots I have been going from bad to worse and it does not look like it will stop.I thought at least there are some yellow cap prizes for grab to have some free bets yet it looks like I am doing really bad this season, last season I managed to get the last prize of 0.005 so I played with that winnings during this season. Now I also look forward to the next season like you,at least we are doing somewhat better in the other pools so that is somewhat reassuring, while in here there are three other yellow caps for grabs until it ends.

We're only getting back few of our experienced players to the squad and our Frontline have found some good chemistry. We have a very good team for a top 4 slot but injuries and Poch bad selections cost us alot of points way back. Remembered we were 6  points from the Top 4 in the middle of the season once and bottled it all.
