All round terrible second half from Arsenal. I expected we will be the one going into the second leg of the UCL tie on the front foot as Bayern have mathematically lost the league, but it looks to be the opposite. Got to pick ourselves up from the ground now.

Armour, what armour? It was the chinks in their turrets that were the problem haha. Needing last-minute winners (more this season than ever before), needing goals from outside the box (more this season since Steven Gerrard era), needing comebacks (more this season than ever before).
Still just two points adrift still. Only major issue is that it is City who have the initiative now and I will say the easier run of fixtures. They are ruthless in this stage.

So did anyone got any point/s from today games,I highly doubt it well except the game of West Ham which could have been either team game while for the two big teams that surprised everyone I doubt anyone got against them in the pool here and also in the betting from what I saw from copying other people bets at the casino where I play, about 20-25 tickets lost because of Liverpool and Arsenal, from money lines bets to both teams to score and to over 2.5 goals which for tonight games neither of them did came through suggesting a really huge surprise in the results of today in the Premier League games.

Only good old mighty Liverpool can fuck up an almost perfect season in a week like this. We haven't lost at Anfield in, what, 14 months or so? And then we lose twice in a row without scoring a goal.

2.60 xG against Atalanta, 2.87 xG against Palace today. 0 goals in total.
3.67 xG against United a week before, 0.7 against - enough only for a 2-2 draw.

Hurts to say, but in key moments of the season we simply aren't on the needed level. We're still alive in the league, but City's got easy games coming. I have a feeling they will put it in the highest gear now and cruise to the title.

If Arsenal win today, Liverpool's chances of winning the title will drop below 10%. A real disaster, considering that before the game with United, Liverpool were the favorites ahead of both Arsenal and City.
As for expected goals, Crystal Palace's 2.13 today, although it should feel no less than Liverpool's. Therefore, I cannot say that Liverpool was simply unlucky today.

I agree it was not their day today, but they have been showing more chinks in their armor than any of the other title contenders since the start of this year. It was always looking to me like it was just a matter of time before they dropped points. With a run of 4 away fixtures ahead, including a clash that potentially will put them out of the Europa league (and that is not good for morale) and a visit to their next door neighbors, they will need to find their feet and fast.

They should bounce back with an easy win against Fulham  Wink

I know I'm only feeling it because it hurts, but this was really like that 2013 season we broke 100 goals. We kept letting in goals, but we kept shooting in more, and it came from all over the pitch. We had a stellar top half (Suarez, Coutinho, Gerrard, Sterling, Sturridge) but with a bottom half of er... what was it, Mignolet and Skrtel and Sakho and Johnson it couldn't last, unsustainable, and it eventually showed.

Didn't age that well  Tongue But too be fair we all thought Liverpool should win that one.
Didn't at all. I wonder where Atalanta pulled out that performance from. Here's another prediction, Liverpool should win against Palace at home. Would love to be wrong on this again Grin
The beauty of being wrong again. I will not make any predictions for Arsenal at this rate, hoping for the best possible outcome.

I must admit a 3-way title race sucks, you never get the liberty of rest even after one of the teams drops some points.

This was bad from Liverpool, they created some chances but then went on and missed them all. All their players look like they forgot how to score goals. They did deserve more from this game but to be fair they could have easily be 2:0 down as well. That Robertson clearance after Van Dijk slip was something for the books.

Manchester United is not fully motivated to play for anything in particular and that is why I am not surprised from their results. What I am seeing that is happening in these last weeks of the Premier League is that a lot of draw results are happening and people who let's say put 10 draws out of ten games are the ones to be making a difference in the pool,of course I am talking for people who are far behind and got nothing to lose, maybe I try it myself in the remaining weeks, who knows where it goes, maybe five 1-1 and five 2-2 results should be fun.

Tomorrow all home teams should win with a bit of doubt for West Ham so let's see if there are draws again tomorrow.

I predicted that the game would end 1-1 because Bournemouth have had too good results in recent games and for such a weak (relative to the top half of the standings) team “everything can’t be that good.”
Unfortunately, I only guessed the outcome, but not the score, and for the sake of fairness, I want to note that today Bournemouth lost two points - according to statistics, they were stronger than United today and should have won.
As for your strategy, it makes sense - if the race is lost, then the race for the yellow cap and free bet is relevant in each round.

Another embarassment day for Manchester United. At this rate, Im not convince that we might even get that 5th spot for Europa League and I guess if we ended up anywhere outside of top 5 then Ten Haag would be kissing goodbye to his job

On top of getting a draw against Bournemouth today, we are even an inch away from losing. I had a terrible trauma on penalty against Manchester United especially on the very last minute. Penalty = goal, Im pretty darn sure Onana wont be able to save any penalty

City all but done their job already. Would much rather the goonerz okay first in the weekend than going down to third position possibly before playing.

It's shocking that Liverpool made the same mistake at Anfield against Crystal Palace, Grin while Atalanta cast a spell to win at Anfield hahah.. That's beyond many people's expectations mate. At least there Liverpool fought hard again.

Usually Luton makes it difficult for big teams but not this time, City easily put goals into Luton. I hope Watkins scrambles the Gunners so that Liverpool are easy again if they win tomorrow.

for me the main problem of Newcastle this season was they lack of legs, they were tired at mid season.
Injuries really hit Newcastle hard this season and has consistently kept many of their top players out. Even academy players that were brought into the first team to replace injured players got hit by injury to.

What a two schizophrenics teams are Newcastle and Totenham, is incredible how they go from super football to play like shit, or win against super teams and lose against weaks.

Today Newcastle destroy Spurs without so much effort, and show to us a more similar face like that they have at the start of the season, for me the main problem of Newcastle this season was they lack of legs, they were tired at mid season.

It’s a common thing for teams that are close to the top - if they were more stable, they would be at the top and not nearby, although of course such volatility of results is annoying. Last year, Newcastle lost a lot of points by drawing and it still looked more stable and reliable than alternating victories and defeats.

Got +11% from the City - Luton game today. Quite an interesting feeling when a team you don't like works for you  Grin

There goes my hope for Spurs to put themselves in a better position. Thought if they had at least some pointa leading up to game vs Gunners they might be more motivated.

Maybe it really is time to view Newcastle back in brighter lights. Or is this a blip of tricks Igebotz?

Also wish I paid more attention to Isak. Sort of looked away once Wilson left my team.

Oh, I almost forgot it is time for the Thursday boy to play  Grin. Liverpool should win against Atlanta, maybe not easy but they should find a way to win at home. I am more interested in Leverkusen against WestHam, should be a good watch.

Seems like quite a though week for predicting correct scores. Have a feeling this will be a low-scoring week in our pool and then we will have a few people smashing it and climbing the ranks.

The UEFA vs City scenario will just repeat itself - the crimes were proven, but City escaped punishment for procedural reasons.
I do not think that case was a simplistic as this, but heck, I did not follow that case up either.

We will need all the optimism we can get to get through this round of the UCL. Tough match up yesterday and another tough match on Sunday. Bayern have lost the league so will have the liberty to fully rest their players this weekend.

I’m interested in how Liverpool will play today - their next game is on the 14th with Crystal Palace, which doesn’t seem to be difficult, and today is a game with Atalanta where it is desirable to ensure a positive result right away. But the odds of 1.31 look ridiculous - Atalanta is not such a weak team that Liverpool could win so easily with such a difficult schedule of games.
