Farewell LEO: o_e_l_e_o
I'm feeling vibes of falling out of love with football too. Maybe it's just this season. Still watch Liverpool whenever I can, but been going through zombie-like sessions lately when watching other teams.
We did not expect Liverpool to be in top 4 at the beginning of the season but then we thought [I thought] we might win the league title. In the 3rd quarter of the season we were even leading the point table. Even we were able to draw the match against inform City. And then some poor performance. Draw against Utd, losing against Everton, and then more two draw matches, I felt like we lost everything that we could have.

Good thing is we are going to Champions League.

I started supporting Liverpool properly just after the Owen UEFA Cup win, so I had to go through about 15 years of shit, it's a cycle. You'll appreciate the glory days when they arrive, if you live long enough. As long as City fall, state-sponsored clubs are a big yawn, sorry Citeh.

I've witnessed Chelsea Glory days now I'm just gotta prepare for the dark days but it's kinda weird to move from Hero to zero it's always the other way round. I feel sorry for Arsenal fans as they might never witness anything.

The trouble with lots of places is that it just devalues all the other slots. Whilst it's nice for people to win something or get their money back I'd rather reward the absolute top players than just have half the pool win something. It's also a pain to send out lots of places, not to mention fees eat into the pot even more.

If we cough out $6k for first place, what's stopping us from coughing out $5k and spreading the remaining $1k among the 11th to 20th positions? This way, half of the pool can recoup their buy-in fees and prepare for the next season, however if we accept 50 players and award only 10, a small fraction of the remaining 40 may lose interest in the long run.

I enjoy how the BSFL operates; no matter how poorly you performed, there is always something; no one plays for nothing. This way, the interest remains high.
This is good suggestion while we are having 50 plus members and prize for the top 20 surely increase the interest and also from here we can expect increase of members which will be helpful for the pool and prize.

Here we can do this easily if we have members less than 50 then prize will be for the top 10 and if we are having 50 plus then for the 20 and after this if we have 75 then we can go for the 25 prizes slots which could be more interesting hopefully OP will think about this for the coming season.

Sent to everybody who sent me their addresses.

Does anyone know of any companies that might be willing to sponsor the Euro pool? jeremypwr said sportsbet will sponsor next years PL but not the Euros but would be nice to try find someone else to spice up the pot a little.

I'm for the higher fee. It's nothing, really, guys, if indeed we are Bitcoin users and gamblers, even in my home economy, $70 is what a casual gambler would be paying betting one game every matchweek per season. What would a $35 difference be over the course of a year?

I'm fine to pay high fees if only we're going to have more reward spots like 1-20th as past season; after all, I lose more than $100 on Chelsea every weekend. I'm not going to win anyway; I'm just here for the fun and banter.

~ But if we do winner takes all, I'm afraid 70% of people will stop playing after the group stage.

It is very likely that someone will be so lucky that at the group stage they will have a big advantage over others (or even worse for those lagging behind - there will be several clear leaders at once, and accordingly there is little chance that they will all suddenly fail) and then there will be no point pay rebuy again for those who are eliminated. I am 99.9% sure that in any case, 50% of the participants will drop out after the group stage.

You hit it on the head. I do miss a winner takes all format. Bragging rights are so much sweeter that way too. I think we'll have a pool no matter the outcome, looking forward!

I like them as well, not in Superbru though. Too much luck-based for me, not really fun as well, I play that one only for the prizes.
I'll still play even if that's the chosen format, it's Euros - you have to play them all. But if we do winner takes all, I'm afraid 70% of people will stop playing after the group stage.

I am always up for that. Sponsor money makes it very favorable but there is some extra magic in those pools where we have only buyins and winner-takes-all format. I win less but I feel extra good every time I land one of those  Grin

Igehbotz Poch is out. Happy?

We've been waiting for this news since September of last year, but after what we achieved in the second half of the season, how attacking we were, and what he accomplished after a bad spell, I was willing to give him another season, but we have idiots as owners, and it's stupid not to allow your manager to be involved in players recruitment.

We lost Tuchel under similar scenarios, and these losers are still doing the same thing today. I was starting to dream again, but looking at the shortlisted names made me laugh. I lived it, loved it, goodbye to the beautiful game. I will be watching India and Pakistan cricket next season.

I'm a United fan, we're in for a rough few years  Cheesy
We're both going on the Pre-Klopp Liverpool and pre-Arteta Arsenal era. Manchester United mistake was letting go De Gea for a pass merchant who can't catch a fly. Gonna take Chelsea and Manutd a long time to compete again. I've seen the light.

What's the point of switching from a club with European predegree to one without it? Seven FA Cups in two decades is not the flex you believe it is. I'm not Kai Havertz  Grin

I like Arsenal and I have many Arsenal jerseys at home thanks to sportsbet.io. However I have started to support Liverpool in the recent years. The people I have met on the forum who are really passionate Liverpool fans have also a big effect on this. Still I'm going to support the team with the most chance against Manchester City next year. It's never to late to make a switch and become an Arsenal supporter, they're surely in for a trophy any minute now Wink

So we can call you multi supporter instead of having just one team supporter because this is good thing happening around here due to this pool and talk with different supporters now you are also having many teams to support.

I am supporting Liverpool for the last 20 years with now my son is having Manchester City as favorite, but I never like them.

I like this part of the post as now we are having nearly 60 members in every pool so increasing prizes is not bad at all with high fees I am also in favor of this but here I have one suggestion if @hilariousandco is happy with this just create a poll and then go ahead about few suggestions which will surely help all members and also having good mind-set of all which member having what suggestion because now things are going good and having polls like these will surely help all members about future of fees and prizes.

How much of an increased buy-in are we talking about? If it’s 1 mbtc (there is a sponsor or not) then I’m for it, a smaller buy-in doesn’t make sense. But I wouldn’t want to go higher than this level either, because with the “one takes all” format it would be too emotionally intense  Grin
I like the light, friendly competition, and for the hardcore there are cash bets.

Winner takes all? No one mentioned anything about that  Shocked

That will make the finish a lot more entertaining but raises the stakes very high. I am all for it.

Nah, I was talking generally. That is the format that works for small pools (10, max 15 people) without sponsors. Even better if all the people know each other.

I am expecting this pool to be much bigger and have a sponsor.

Did we not start these pools purely on interest and friendly rivalry among forum bastards? And taking their money? Wink

As for upcoming pools.

I'm for the higher fee. It's nothing, really, guys, if indeed we are Bitcoin users and gamblers, even in my home economy, $70 is what a casual gambler would be paying betting one game every matchweek per season. What would a $35 difference be over the course of a year?

And we don't need a sponsor. It's nice but we've been spoiled by years of generous sponsorships from sponsors who are so easygoing. The extra prize funds are nice, but if I look back on the initial pools, they were a way to attract interest, hopefully, to keep a group of people playing together much like office pools do over time. It would be quite sad for me personally to know that the interest fades when there's no sponsor.

Did we not start these pools purely on interest and friendly rivalry among forum bastards? And taking their money? Wink
